The food is nice but not amazing or exceptional, very average. And the experience is super annoying, you cannot see the menu or the prices of anything, it’s a surprise in the end. Even when we asked the for the bill the waiter just told us how much we should pay and we couldn’t double check anything. Too pricey for what is has to offer.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Every course we had was delicious, definitely will return.

Google
An excellent well-established place with amazing cuisine in the central but quiet neighbourhood. Very authentic Italian with a great variety, only daily menu, so lots of very fresh choices. Can be really loud and the sitting is tight but always a pleasure to spend some time here and eat delicious food. Fresh fish always on the menu. The owner comes to tables to make recommendations.

Awesome atmosphere and food, just a great place to go. The waiters do an excellent job of making you feel welcome and entertaining guests. The Parmigiano pasta is a must have for the first visit (unless you're vegetarian or in other ways prohibited from eating it of course) Excellent location for a date later in the relationship, it can be a very romantic location.

Google
Disappointing experience in May 2024. The menu was more or less imposed to all of us (7 people), even though we said we wanted to order a la carte, and mentioned it. Service was very long and not friendly. Special mention for the pasta which was good, though. Still remains expensive for what it was.

The restaurant in question delivered a deeply disappointing dining experience, marked by exorbitant pricing, lackluster food quality, and notably discourteous service. Charging 135€ for a simple meal for two consisting of legumes, white spaghetti with a scant topping of truffles, 0.5 litres of "wine" and a dessert is excessively high, especially given the mediocrity of the dishes served. The staff's behavior, particularly the waiter's, was unacceptably rude; their practice of singing the menu rather than providing a written version obscured the prices and seemed designed to mislead. Furthermore, the insistence on a tip despite the substandard service and overall experience compounded the negative impression. Such a combination of overpricing, average (being generous) food, and impolite service makes the restaurant highly unsatisfactory and not recommendable.

Really nice ambience, delicious food and warm hospitality. Gino was a nice host. Definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Lovely food! Cosy atmosphere! We wanted vegetarian food, but don't speak German too well... The waitress however spoke excellent english, and gave us some options instead. We ended up with some amazing antipasti, and delicious truffle pasta. I can also highly recommend the Creme Brulee ;) Also looked to be a great fish selection, and would love to come back and try it!

Yelp
I was hoping to see the (low) standard of service that we encountered in Bavaria get better as we dined in Hamburg but it was not so. Service here was definitely slow and not very attentive. Our waiter spoke fine English and that part of the meal went well, but engaging him to get our order placed was a bit challenging. Yes, they have a printed menu. It's in German. There's also a list of daily specials on the board, written in German that we could sort of read. Google Translate doesn't work well when you can't work out what the letters are. And then, there's another list of specials that the waiter has in his head, which is... interesting. I let him talk me into a mushroom salad starter which was unusual and quite delicious. A variety of grilled mushrooms, shaved parmesan and cherry tomatoes. Enough for two to share. For main course, I chose the spaghetti vongole. Very good, a plate of pasta tossed in olive oil and garlic and then topped with cherry tomatoes, clams, shrimp and other seafood. Other than the pasta was perhaps a little underdone (or my taste for it is off?), it was delicious and I ate nearly the whole thing. Keto? Not today! My friend had the pappardelle with a beef and veal sauce. She said it was delicious but pointed out that there was no parmesan cheese to be had anywhere. And once she pointed that out, it was strange. Our waiter wasn't to be seen after the food was delivered so after waiting a bit, we decided to dig in. By the time we spotted him, there wasn't much point. So what could have been a five star meal dropped to just three because the pasta was underdone (in my opinion) and the lack of service which just left us underwhelmed. Note: There is Trattoria da Enzo and they have another Trattoria Due Da Enzo around the corner. [Review 12053 overall, 1836 of 2019.]

Yelp
Holy cow! What a great meal. We were off to a rough start with a small language barrier and seating. (We we're asked to change tables twice). But it really didn't matter in the end because everyone was great. The restaurant is small and got very busy. You should make reservations. The food was excellent and fresh. Kudos to the staff that seemed all family, but I'm not sure. Go here if you are in the area.

Yelp
Fantastic food and nice atmosphere. The hand-written menu in German is making ordering for international guests slightly difficult. Great wine options as well.

Yelp
When in Hamburg- must try this Italian gem ;) the creamy pasta with truffles is the most delicious dish I've had! You can share small dinner portion with the veal fillet ... OUT OF THIS WORLD. The waiters are all very nice and helpful- Bon App!

Yelp
No printed menu that I ever saw. A blackboard that looks to be updated daily on the wall. I took the waiters recommendation for what to have. Antipasti to share, secondi of pasta with truffles and entree of fresh grilled sea bass that he promised he would bone out. Really good. Never would have ordered that without his recommendation. My dining companion had homemade ravioli topped with white truffles. He was very happy. Good service that moved along but didn't feel rushed. Very reasonable prices for what we had. Under 100€ for two with three courses and drinks. This is a very small but popular dining place. It might be hard to sit and talk and just drink. But there are other choices near by for that. Just dine here first!

Yelp
This is exactly what a neighbourhood Italian restaurant should be. On a quiet street you enter down short steps into a small bustling eating area. We turned up unannounced lateish on a Tuesday evening. The Trattoria was full but we were all made welcome with glasses of prosecco while we waited. And it was worth the wait. Deciding to go with tradition, I had the Ossobucco, which was just as rich and flavoursome as I had hoped. Other traditional dishes taken included Linguine Vongole etc - all apparently also fully enjoyed. Highly recommended for small groups, friends and romantic meals.

Yelp
Amazing Italian food. If you go, you must try the fresh tagliatelle mixed in a Parmesan wheel with white truffles. Absolutely divine! Make reservations and go early...as they run out of dishes (especially fish dishes) around 8-9PM. Honestly, you have to love a restaurant that buys their main ingredients fresh every morning and sells out at some point in the night. You know you are getting the best possible ingredients you can get. You must try at least once!

Yelp
It's exactly the kind of place that you expect when you're looking for a cosy, crammed and delicious Italian restaurant. This place has great lunch deals. Make sure you make a reservation when you want to go there on a Saturday evening.

Yelp
Enzo's is around the corner from the place where we live and I came here last night with my wife for a pre-birthday meal. We had walked past the place many times but either not in the mood for Italian or it hadn't been open. So we walked in without a reservation at about 8pm and luckily got a table; 10 minutes later they were turning people away. It was nice and buzzy and fairly full with a mix of locals, tourists and business people. The waiter we had spoke German with such a strong, thick Italian accent that I couldn't understand him so we ended up speaking Italian instead! Once he knew I could speak Italian the whole experience became great; I told him more or less to choose for us then the food that came was really really fantastic. After respective starters of carpaccio and truffles & grilled squid in an octopus and black lentil salad my wife had rack of lamb and I had a Sea Bass with a salted crust. All with large glasses of red wine that we weren't told the name of but that it was 'buono' from the waiter! So it ended up being probably the nicest dinner I have had in Hamburg (maybe enven Germany so far) It wasn't cheap, at over EUR85 for two, however it would be hard to find nice food better cooked anywhere, plus the welcome, service and ambience made the difference between a good evening and great one. My wife and I agreed to go at least once a month, and I look forward to the next time. Enzo, Ci Vediamo!

Yelp
We went there at 10:50pm yesterday to have a glass of wine. The waiter never cleaned the table nor did he ask us what we would like to have. The restaurant was about 70% full. This non-service is horrible. Never go there !

Yelp
Alright I'm gonna be honest here: I got into this place purely by accident. I was particularly hungry, tired, and I couldn't be bothered walking any further. I saw the light, I saw the Italian sign and I just decided 'right, that will do!":) I was seated within less than 10mn by another lonely chap at the nearby table and greeted cheerfully by the staff. It felt really cosy and the place has a really homy atmosphere, with a mix of locals, business customers as well as a few tourists like me. I was provided with the menu but as I probably know 2 words of German, the waiter nicely gave me an overview of what was on offer and made some suggestions. A glass of red wine, truffle Carpaccio and a perfectly cooked filet later, I was full and content :). The food was lovely and the thing that then came to mind at that stage was that it was probably going to cost me an armbut gosh, this was ex-cel-lent italian food! 44EUR later:) No regret here though. This was a lovely Italian restaurant with well cooked and selected food, excellent customer service and I'll certainly recommend it in the future. I really don't have a problem spending money when the whole experience is top notch from start to finish. Plus, let's be honest, I already know the hotel menu off by heart now so a bit of adventure was needed anyway!

Yelp
Amazing food, great service, one of the best low-key restaurants I have been to in a long time. The menu changes daily based on what fish is fresh that day. All the food is melt-in-your-mouth good - amazing seafood and an incredible parmesan pasta dish with truffles. Very nice, but not too fancy. Pretty much a perfect dining experience!
