The owner seemed nice, but the service wasn't the best and neither was the food. For the starter we had a a plate each which had different kinds of fish and shell fish on. The scallop felt like it had been microwaved and the other bits lacked seasoning. The owners seemed nice, but our waiter I felt was quite intimidating.. standing over us and honestly it felt like we were an inconvenience to be there. The restaurant itself is really nice, but sadly the food wasn't the best and for the price, I'd expect a lot more

Came here with my wife and had an awesome experience! Order the Fritto Misto as an appetizer, Tattalgia di manzo, Tiramisu for dessert and a bottle of red wine, all of which were delicious! The waiter was super friendly and kind.

Venice is known for substandard food (by comparison to other Italian tourist destinations), but this beautiful restaurant proves this hypothesis wrong. A bit hard to find, the restaurant is tucked away in one of the hottest tourist areas in Venice. This is a more expensive but great price/value restaurant, featuring linen table cloths and a nice an quiet outdoor dining area. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had sea bass carpaccio, clam spaghetti, and shrimp/crayfish pasta and it was great! The servings are traditionally small since you to through all four courses, but the preparation is fantastic. The owner couple are very nice and friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant is you want to pay a little bit more than average for a fantastic dining experience.

A very quiet restaurant with a garden in the back. It's well hidden between these narrow streets. The pasta was amazing and we also received a gift, a small cube of ice-cream covered in chocolate. It was AMAZING!

Beautiful authentic restaurant. Had the best spaghetti vongole and the tiramisu is to die for.

The reviews depend on the writer and place in time, so.... Food was fresh and very well prepared, tasty! The service was very good, 20 min to prepare at late evening time, on Saturday night, with half of the tables in use. Waiter patient, pleasant, helpful. Restroom area could use attention. Also the overall cleaningness. The atmosphere was what time in a restaurant in Venice should be.

This is our favorite restaurant in Venice. We come to Venice every two years, and we always get a warm welcome here. Fausto is just the best waiter. The capesante (baked scallops) are the best you will find anywhere, as is the seafood risotto. Really comfortable restaurant with inside dining and a lovely garden. We’ll be back again in two years!!!

Yelp
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with this place. It looked beautiful (and is) and off the beaten path, so my husband and I were excited to have dinner here. We did not have reservations but were still seated with some reluctance despite the restaurant being quite open the whole time we were there. I feel the entire experience was extremely overpriced from the wine to the food. We had the risotto that was slightly above average but over 40 Euro. Our appetizer was a variety of seafood and almost off putting. We did really enjoy the panna cotta we shared for dessert, but it wasn't enough to salvage the meal. Our bill was 126.00 Euro and I feel for what we ordered and what we had, I would have loved to spend that money at a different restaurant.

Yelp
I SO wanted to love this place. The main seating is in a gorgeous back patio area, surrounded by stone walls and under an open green roof. It is quiet and intimate, and the noises from the surrounding alleys are muffled. It was our first night in Venice, and it seemed so romantic. The setting was our favorite part of the restaurant. We showed up early-ish, so there was only one other couple seated. A few more showed up as we were eating. An older man served us, and he was very nice. The menu looked really good, but we were both disappointed with what we ordered. She had a pasta with crab that I actually liked more than she did. I ordered a ravioli dish that was fine, but there weren't many--I can't even remember what was in them. The wine was okay. But everything was just kind of bland, and when it came time for dessert, we were ready to get moving and find a gelato place.

Yelp
Sorry to say we waisted a precious dinner in Venice here. With so many great places the garden courtyard looked lovely. Grape vine canapés and a candle on the table. Service was horrible, 2 waiters and the owner handling a busy restaurant. The Chardonnay was warm so he suggested a different wine. Brought the wrong octopus app. Got the black ink pasta with cuddlefish and it tasted like canned scungilie. Langostines were small and strong. Service was horrible.

Yelp
My wife and I visited in October, 2015 and sought a different restaurant that turned out to only serve pizza after 8pm. We arrived after 9pm and there were several other tables of patrons. The greeting was a little slow, but they cleared a table for us. My wife had the lasagne, which I also tried, and was the best we've ever had anywhere. I had the fish, which was cooked and then prepared table side. It was also delicious. Another couple at the table next to us had visited the night before and returned because of the great meal they had. The service was a bit slow, as there were only 2 waiters working. I think what many westerners do not realize is that dinners in Italy are meant to be long affairs and the staff, since they do not rely on gratuities, try to ensure diners have plenty of time to eat and socialize. The restaurant did stay open a bit later for us since we arrived after 9pm and we were very thankful for that!!

Yelp
While this place is not the cheapest, it is far from expensive. We had a very delicious meal with wine and desert. I would go back again.

Yelp
Great food, recommended by our hotel. The seafood risotto was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Italian dining experience. If we are ever back in Venice, we will return.

Yelp
Cozy little restaurant which seemed like a family business. The food was great, especially the pasta with black sauce. Our waitor was a really really old man, maybe it's the grandfather? He was really attentive and helpful despite the language barrier.

Yelp
Excellent locals type of restaurant slightly outside the tourist zone. Definitely better food than the touristy places.
