The food was delicious, we were really blown away by the steak and the rice dish. Pairing was superb. Tiramisu was not our favourite version but otherwise everything was perfect. The servers were super lovely and did a fantastic job with wine pairing.

Great trattoria close to the Navigli area of Milano. This place serves traditional dishes but with a modern fun twist. Very good vibes, service and atmosphere. Everything was delicious, so would love to come back soon. Would recommend to reserve your table in advance.

Such a special place. The food was excellent with no frills or pretentiousness. Great value, not touristy. They change the menu daily. Traditional Italian food with some North African twists. The chef was serving the tables and explaining some of the dishes. Our lovely waiter was so passionate, knowledgable and friendly. She suggested some great wines too.

This was the best food we ate on our trip to Milan. The service was incredible and the food was amazing too. Our waiter also managed to recommend us a wine which we loved. 10/10 meal. Follow me @danworth.ldn on IG or TikTok for more food pics!

Our first meal in Milan, and the bar has been set very high. A place where the locals go—off the beaten track. Contemporary and classic in one. Brilliant waiters who were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, delicious, uncomplicated food, great wine pairing and the music and vibes were on point! An easy 10 out of 10 on all fronts. The Tomato Tonnato, Rabbit Pate, Broad Bean Puree and Black Pork Salami as starters were all stand outs in their own right. The mains were simple, rustic and wholesome dishes served beautifully. Dessert was a classic panna cotta with a twist—persimmon and yuzu. Total flavour bomb, followed by a couple of amaros recommended by our waiter to round off a perfect evening.

I really loved the service and the food! The wine they chose for the food was delicious! Highly recommended place to dine!

Google
A delight! Wonderful service, and honest, delicious food. A rare treat in Milan which is Italian food that isn't normal homecooking style (which is also fantastic, don't get me wrong) but also isn't irritatingly pretentious. We had chicken liver paté that I'm going to be thinking about for weeks and a steak dish which was exemplary.

The chefs know what they are doing and have some good ideas, especially when it comes to playing with the Italian tradition. Unfortunately this is marred by an excessively short menu – only a handful of dishes, meaning that if you are more than two people you'll have to duplicate orders. And they play the usual trick of most "new" Milan venues: small, hunger-defying portions of humble ingredients (beans, potatoes, cheap fish varieties etc) at high prices. Finally, the wine markup is unforgivable: with all the amazing and good-valued barberas out there, we were recommended an undrinkable 'natural' one at over 40 euros. The resulting bill was at the level of the city's premium restaurants, but of course without the same service or variety, and without even a table cloth.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host who said it was a traditional Italian restaurant and a must try. We didn't have reservations but since we wandered in early (around 7:45pm) they said we could eat as long as we were done by 9:30pm. Fine by me! :) We ordered the prosciutto plate to share along with the fettuccini al pesto with anchovies and the duck with potatoes. The fettuccini was super fresh and delish- though I imagine at least half a stick of butter was in that sauce! It's a pretty limited menu and changes based on freshness and local ingredients. I appreciate their effort to use local products and non-GMO goods. Gloria was in the kitchen cooking up a storm! I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and to make a reservation. If not, you can always hop around navigli for the aperitivo crawl where you can get a drink and buffet for 10 euros.

Yelp
I can especially suggest you to order the veal Milanese better than Wiener Schnitzel! The amuse guelle, free starter is a little pizza that is better than anything I had before in terms of pizza!

Yelp
In an inconspicous building, off the beaten track in an alley near Milan's canal district, lies the most wonderful trattoria you will ever visit. We were three friends staying in Milan for a week, dining well at Michelin-restaurants and the like. However the best food and experience bar none, was Trattoria della Gloria. Upon entering the premises you are immediately heartily greeted by the owner/waiter. The atmosphere is so stereotypically Italian, with the warm light, red checkered table cloths and trinkets on the wall, you almost suspect it to be a tourist trap. However we seemed to be the only foreigners there, and the waitress also seemed kind of surprised to see tourists there, when she immediately asked: "How did you find this place?". She was prompt with the menus, talkative and spoke perfect english. The menu was not divided into antipasti, primi or secondi, but all dishes were put on one page. As an appetiser, everyone were served fresh warm foccacias, and they were sublime. Perhaps the best foccaccia I've ever tasted. As a main I ordered the beef tartar. Plain rustique presentation, and tasted excellent. When we asked for the dessert chart, she just replied: "What do you want?". Obviously there's no need for a menu at a classic Trattoria, and I of course knew what I wanted. The Tiramisu was just perfect, absolute wonderful balance between the sweet and the liquor. After spending three hours there, we almost didn't want to leave. If you're in Milan, you simply HAVE to go to Trattoria della Gloria.

Yelp
We were in Milan for only two days. We searched on Yelp for a good italian restaurant and found this place. We were staying at the Marriott, the map said 1.2 miles walking, so we decided to take the walk and enjoy the scenery. We got lost. It took us an hour and half to find this place. It is off the beaten path and not easy to find (even with maps). We walked in the restaurant, only two of the table had people seated. This was at 8:30 p.m. We were "greeted" by a man who asked how many, when I replied 2, we asked if we had reservations. We replied no. he told us he could not seat us. Ok, fine, I asked to use the restroom as we had been lost for a while and I was desperate. He first told me that the restroom was difficult and started to lead me to a door, then he turned around and said "no restroom for you." REALLY?? Obviously we didn't eat there, but I would never return back there based off that experience.

Yelp
Food is delicious. The owner/operator does not speak any English so be prepared to make your way through some rough Italian. Burrata and the antipasti are delicious. The mains are a bit heavy. The pasta dishes are amazing, esp. the ones with garlic. The house wine isnt that good, would recommend a bottle.

Yelp
no doubt 5-starer. top quality ingredients and top quality attentiveness to the food, but you have to be into the heavier and meatier side of life. They have slow cooked beef (stracotto) which is amazing both in the pasta and when served as a secondo with this awesome black polenta it comes with (black because of black rice, not squid ink). The steak tartar is great, and unique as it comes with lemon. They serve some great homemade liquors at the end, fennel and limoncello came with ours.

Yelp
Very nice small and isolated trattoria. The ravioli are very good and the service is very nice. Book in advance is necessary.

Yelp
Food was good, I would give it 3-4 stars but then -2 stars for the man that gave us the same corked bottle of wine. First of all - I have never been given a brand new full bottle of wine delivered to my table without seeing the bottle opened by the server or asked to taste. We ordered a bottle of the Barolo and this is exactly what happened! I tasted the wine and wanted to spit it out immediately, it was SOUR and the color was off, closer to that of apple cider. I could not believe that the guy inside just pushed a cork back into the SAME bottle and brought it out to us. To their defense, the lady server was very nice and apologized for the wine. Common guys, we are not stupid - even the group of men next to us that you decided to comp the bottle to did not want to touch it! anyways - moving on to the food. The pastas were good. Cottoletta was not bad. Osso bucco was just OK. I would recommend this place, but just avoid drinking the wine! There are so many better trattoria's in the city that you can enjoy! But living around Navigli area makes it limited!
