The food was surprisingly good for the price. In my opinion a great value for the money in Venice. I’d definitely come back, more than once.

Run away and thank me later!! Worst carbonarra, worst experience. Tourist scam. Calamari weren't even calamari, it's the cheap fish paste in circle. This review costs me 49 EUR, don't make same mistakes as I did.

Service was great and the food was delicious! The atmosphere was great too, definitely great value for the price paid!

As a tourist restaurant my hopes weren't high but the pricing was fair, no scams except encouraging me to get a beer on tap which was more expensive by volume (4cl) than the large bottle I'd asked for (6cl, same price) The food was the most disappointing thing we ate all holiday and I cooked better meals while self catering. My sea bass on the set fish menu was rubbery and my wife's chicken escalope was very dry.

Open till late on weekends. We thought about giving a try on way back. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Sea food quality and quantity was great. Meat/steak was ok. The main waiter was patient and helpful. Although some info he provided was confusing and contradictory like tap water is not good in Venice or olive oil in Venice may not be flavorful. Forgot our bread as well 😀. Nonetheless, it was good experience and definitely recommend.

We highly recommend an evening at Trattoria Della Maddalena while visiting Venice. Our server, Hewar, was delightfully friendly, knowledgeable, and he cleaned the fish skillfully right in front of us. We devoured the freshly caught sea bass and turbot. You may also choose to finish the night with authentic tiramisu and limoncello, cheers!

We went into this restaurants as we thought there may be some locals but realised everyone in there are tourists. Food was absolutely disappointing. The steak was chewy but what was odd was that the source was very milky. It's like eating steak with thick warm milk. My husband's lamb racks looked miserable. When it was served, I thought to myself that didn't look good. Sure enough, my husband confirmed it. It was dry and skinny. Feels like they must have gotten the skinniest lamb in the country. When my husband feedback to the waiter, the waiter replied that he doesn't think the lamb rack is bad. Well, maybe my husband wasn't lucky and for all the lambs that they had cooked which might be beautiful, fact is, waiter should not rebuke that the lamb that my husband had was good unless he took one rack before serving and tasted it to determine that. The young couple besides our table ordered calamari with chips and when served, they looked disappointed. It was really from a low end chip shop. It just looks so bad.

Most other places were pretty full on saturday evening, so we let ourselves be convinced into eating here by the lady inviting people in. Had aperols and margheritas. Prices aren't horrible and the service was pretty quick, but the pizza was nothing special, they used some very chewy cheese and i couldn't detect any basil on it.

What a cute little place to grab a bite to eat. A little crammed, but well worth it. We enjoyed a lovely pizza, and the service was quite pleasant.

We had a pretty good experience at Trattoria Alla Maddalena! The food was good and the service was overall pretty good after a minor hiccup. I'd say the two downsides was that the server got upset when we corrected him on a wine error and the food wasn't the best meal we had overall in Venice. The vibe was nice though. I'd say it was an average food experience.

Went upon recommendation from Yelp and was thrilled with the decision. Our waiter Sam was very personable and engaging. The food was really, really good. I had linguine pesto and my buddy had the carbonara and both were absolutely delicious. Price was reasonable and outdoor seating was nice with views of passersby. Overall, excellent choice for a great lunch or dinner.!!

Ate here on my first night in Venice. I was with a school group and Hewar, our very gracious server could not have been more helpful. We were a large group of 10 but we did not feel rushed at all. Hewar took his time explaining the dishes and making sure we were all satisfied. The meal was also excellent and a delicious way to start the trip. I decided to be adventurous and get the liver and it did not disappoint. Every one was happy with their food and the left overs were wrapped up for us to enjoy back at our room. I would highly recommend this restaurant

The food here is truly amazing. Not every restaurant makes home made pasta. Fuad was our waiter and he was well beyond his years in politeness and professionalism. Everything we tried was fantastic from the simple spaghetti marinara to Cicchetti. Order the Pinot Bianco wine. You can't go wrong on anything here and the prices are cheaper than most restaurants. The spaghetti marinara is €8. Where can you get hand made pasta with a delicious sauce for that much ? The table, service and restaurant were spotless.

Service, food & price amazing. Found the restaurant on yelp. Deserving of its high rating. Our servers name was Faud. He was pleasant and non assuming. We had a great time there.

This was the first restaurant my friends and I stopped at for our first Italian meal! I had the seafood risotto, and we ordered a bottle of white wine for the table. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh, and we got to sit outdoors to people watch. Part of the entertainment was watching one of the staff members play and chase a dog in the local area, how charming is that? The service was super friendly, and we received a warm welcome from our waiter who was thrilled to have American patrons lol! Seriously, if you're from America (especially LA) they treat you like royalty. It's too bad we only spent one night in Venice but look forward to coming back here if I do visit Venice again.

My husband and I decided to eat at this restaurant last night, based on recommendations of our Airbnb host. We are so happy we did!!! This was our first time experiencing Italy/Venice and could not decide what to order. Everything on the menu looked and sounded like it would be delicious so we just went for it and ordered several items. We ordered shrimp, mussels and clams in a white wine sauce, spaghetti with seafood, noodles with pesto, a breaded chicken cutlet, and a slice of lemon cake!! We thought for sure that we would end up taking most of it back to the Airbnb but that didn't happen!! Everything was soooo delicious and we just couldn't stop eating!!! That server was fantastic and she explained all about the different dishes and even gave us recommendations. She was so nice to allow my husband to try a sample of Limoncello, which he had been so interested in trying after hearing about it on the tour we had just taken. This was a clean and beautiful establishment with the best food and service! Do yourselves a favor and do not leave Venice without giving this gem of a restaurant a try

We didn't eat at many places in Venice, but this was easily our favorite (and almost our favorite of the dozens of restaurants we visited in Italy). The service made us feel welcomed and not rushed. They provided local specialties like sarde in saor (marinated sardines), insalata caprese, pasta al nero di seppia (not only with squid ink but pieces of squid). My husband really liked his scallops which were nicely marinaded and baked. We ordered a nice local white wine (soave) that was reasonably priced (around 30-40 euro), and enjoyed the nice ambiance on the Rio Tera de la Maddalena road which leads to the train station. We were even given a complimentary grappa after dessert.

Stopped by this restaurant while walking the streets of Venice. They had free WiFi and a bar which attracted one of our party members. We sat down and decided to also order food. I had the sausage pizza which was great and fresh. My two friends ordered Lamb chops and a fried calimari starter which were tasty as well. The waiter, Edmond, was very accommodating and helpful. I'd come back here next time I visit Venice.

Waiter was amazing. I think we got the wrong things here. After reading the reviews we were expecting something else but this is definitely a nice stop for lunch or dinner. We sat outside and it was fantastic. We had a great time people watching while it took a little while for our food to come out.

Edmond and Loredana were amazing host! This place not only offer great food but the atmosphere was great. I would reccommend anyone to come and try their fried calamari or their lamb ribs. The pizza was great also! Would definitely come back and eat here again!!
