We randomly passed this restaurant over a year ago and put it on our list of places to try. Apparently it’s a neighborhood favorite, a place closely connected to the community, especially during lockdown when it prepared meals for people in need. The owners/workers are supposedly part of the Bianchi team of the calcio storico. All cool stuff, but what about the food? The presentation, as you can see from the photos, was quite beautiful. The tortelli were lacking strong flavors, but that’s also because eggplant, I find, doesn’t taste like too much - so, my fault. The Caserecce were simple, but very tasty! The tagliata was spot on, very nice. Two options of red house wine. Good prices. Good quality. Friendly waitstaff. Only drawback, and the reason for four stars instead of five: with loads of cute outdoor tables, we were put at the lone table far from all the others (a good ten meters), separated by parked motorini, in front of someone’s door, in a little pond of (sewage?) water. And every few seconds a really bad odor would blow through the air, making it rather unpleasant to eat...
