Hands down, the best rustic Italian lunch I ever had in Ortigia. Trattoria La Foglia is a gem with its cozy interior that makes you feel right at home. The three pastas I tried—pomodoro, anchovies, and ragu—were all spot-on, each sauce packed with flavor and cooked just right. The gold and crispy mixed seafood was a total standout, perfectly crunchy and fresh. The mixed vegetables were simple but done so well, and the meatballs? Juicy, hearty, and just like something an Italian grandma would make. Everything felt authentic, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. If you’re in Ortigia, this place is a must for a real Italian meal.
