I had this restaurant marked as a "Want to go" for a while. I tried to go on Wednesday, but they were full, so I made a reservation for tonight. We arrived at 7:30 PM on a Friday and were seated upstairs, which was a little warm, but they were very busy. We attempted to order some starters, but they had already sold out of the one that interested us, so we ordered a meat and cheese plate instead. We decided on the lobster pasta, and the server informed us that it was a large portion meant for two, so he didn’t recommend ordering a second course.
Our starter was good, and the restaurant provided bibs for the lobster pasta along with crackers for the shells. When the large platter of linguine and lobster arrived, the presentation was great, and the sauce and pasta were stellar. However, we were unsure about the quantity of lobster included; there were only cracked pieces of shell mixed in, but no whole claws. Instead, we found bits of claws and fragments of the head and tail.
As we continued eating the pasta, we noticed there were pieces of shell scattered throughout the dish and kept biting on them, it was challenging to scrape out any remaining lobster from the shell pieces, and having bits of shell throughout the meal detracted from our experience. At 56 euros for the linguine, it wasn’t worth the time or money. I would recommend giving the place a try, but I’d skip this dish.
