One of the most local and authentic restaurants in the area. I went there without a reservation and I managed to get a seat thanks to the awesome waiters (they are incredibly hard-working, efficient, and kind; two of the best waiters I’ve ever seen), but a lot of people behind me got sent back home. If you plan to eat here (particularly during weekends), make sure to book a table in advance. The food was awesome. We had 3 fully Pugliese dishes: the fave e cicorie, the orecchiette and the sagne 'ncannulate. Each of them was approximately 14 EUR. Our favorite was the orecchiette, but all of them were incredibly good. The homemade pasta has a quality that is typically hard to find in restaurants. It really felt like eating at home.

Authentic wholesome food is what we got at this place. We were lucky to get a table upstairs as they were completely full. My partner had the Nonna Tetti fantasy dish which was actually delicious. I tried a traditional cavallo stew which tasted like lamb stew in a rich homestyle tomato sauce.

Recommended by our hotel, (Palazzo de Noha), for traditional no frills Puglian food, and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant has a real homely feel and the staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food and wine, (spoke great English). It gets busy, so either call in to book a table or be prepared to wait. Due to it's popularity, the service isn't the quickest, but totally acceptable, (unless you a group of 6 rude french tourists that they offered to accommodate without a booking, but didn't appreciate the wait to be served and were very rude to the waiter). If you want real local food in a traditional restaurant, you must give it a go.

Probably our worst overall restaurant experience since getting to Italy. The food took forever to arrive and was nothing special. Mixed fried plate had 5 interesting pieces and than 6-7 fried dough pieces to add some volume. It took around 80-90 minutes to get our pastas. The meatball pasta had literally 2 meatballs. Good thing we weren't hungry anymore by the time we got the plates. Pasta was overcooked. Crispy parts of the checkpea pasta were completely soft. Didn't even get the breas we paid cover for. Also got charged for tap water. I'm all good with paying for water in a restaurant, but everywhere else you'll get a bottle of mineral water

The worst dining experience I've had in Italy over many trips. I can't believe the great reviews this place gets. Two of us has pasta which was so over the top salty that it was barely edible. The waitress asked if we'd enjoyed the food and we commented on how salty it was. She was defensive and said that's how we do it in Italy. It tasted like a frozen pasta meal from a supermarket. The other of our party had mixed grill which was also well below par. We ordered the Caprese salad, 5 slices of tasteless tomato, tough buffalo mozzarella, no basi, no dressing or seasoning and it was 12 euros. We were served a dish of deep fried things which looked like mini arancini balls but were like savoury donuts. We didn't order this however given most other tables had them we presumed they were complimentary. When it came to the bill I said we hadn't ordered them and thought they were complimentary. The waitress was most insistent that this was our fault and 'in Italy this is how we do things' rather than their error. Eventually who I presume was the manager stepped in and we didn't have to pay the 12 euros for that dish. An awful experience and thankfully a rare exception to our dining experiences in Italy.

I discovered Trattoria Nonna Tetti during a six-week stay in Lecce and it soon became one of my favorite go-to restaurants for lunch (although I believe they are also open for dinners). I especially loved finding out what the “Fantasia di Nonna” selection would be each day, as it was always a tasty surprise. Upon entering, it was like stepping into your grandmother’s home and being welcomed like family. The meals are delicious, traditional Apulian dishes in a cozy setting. You will not be disappointed in whatever you select, as it is all excellent, with a nice selection of wines and beverages. I cannot recommend it highly enough and encourage everyone to make this a definite stop during your visit to Lecce. I guarantee once you come once, you’ll want to return.

Went for lunch. Food is average at best and expensive for the quality. Beef dish was very chewy and heavy on the fat, and seafood pasta had lovely texture but no flavour at all and was very oily. To boot: when our table was cleared, we weren't offered dessert or coffee by waiting staff. As if they wanted us to leave. A waste of our money and time. Do not recommend and would not go back.

I told the waiter that I'm starving and is this enough and he said yes. Well, it's definitely not the portion I was expecting for a 25€ dish, I feel being scammed. 😂

Yelp
This was a last minute, desperate find for dinner on a Mother's Day Sunday. The only decent dish was the burrata, but then again how could they mess up on something they probably f do not even make in the restaurant. The two pasta dishes we ordered were awful in my opinion, particularly the pasta with ricotta forte, the pasta was unevenly cooked and the cheese sauce was way too strong and bitter. My husband liked his gnocchi but I found it to be very bland. Definitely do not recommend.

Yelp
Food was very good but the waiter was so rude! Restaurant was recommended by our amazing host Francesca from Palazzo Sambiasi. The waiter would not take the time to answer a question. He was sweating and very irritated. My guess is he was the owners son because who behaves this way and keeps their job? The rest of the waiters in our 3 week trip were not this rude. It was very disappointing.

Yelp
When in Lecce, eat at Nonna Tetti! This place was wonderful. My wife and I kinda stumbled upon this place by accident. We arrived at just the right time as within 15 minutes, there was a long wait. The place is pretty small but does have an upstairs which I wasn't able to view. Overall, the restaurant has a very simple, unassuming look to it: simple menu, simple decor, small intimate seating. The waiters are incredibly nice and accommodating even if they don't speak English very well. Everything about our meal was absolutely wonderful and I rate this as one of the top 3 places we ate at in our three-week Italian adventure which covered the entire peninsula. I highly highly recommend this place to visitors and locals alike. You will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
Wonderful, light meal. We went in with a local's tip to try the 5 part taster. After that (which included a wonderful dish of sliced zucchini in olive oil, lemon and tarragon) and some burratta we were full. The atmosphere was great, the help great, recommended a very good local primativo wine, and away we went.
