Stepping into Palla d'Oro dal 1860 is like receiving a warm embrace from true Florentine tradition. Located in the heart of the city, this historic establishment is not just a restaurant—it's an essential culinary stop for anyone seeking authentic Tuscan flavors and genuine hospitality.
The entire dining experience we had was nothing short of excellent. The food is prepared with care, passion, and a deep respect for regional recipes. Every dish showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients.
However, the undisputed star of the evening was the Florentine Trippe (Trippa alla fiorentina). This dish, often a true test of a Tuscan kitchen, was absolutely sublime. It was rich, tender, perfectly seasoned, and profoundly comforting—undoubtedly the best trippa we have ever had. It is a mandatory choice for any visitor looking for an authentic taste of Florence's culinary soul.
Beyond the magnificent meal, we had an excellent time thanks to the incredible atmosphere and the dedicated team.
