We stumbled on this rustic little place after arriving in Tenno and finding that most, more famous, restaurants were fully booked. As I mentioned it is quite rustic and very traditional both in its decor and its menu. The menu has only about 15 items including starters, mains and deserts with most savoury dishes including meat. Which at first glance was a bit of a problem for my vegetarian wife, but they were kind enough to knock up a tasty tomato spaghetti for her. I had the local dish of cold salted marinated beef which is served raw which is gorgeous. This was served with pickled vegetables and I washed it down with a nice wine. For desert I had the, naughty but nice, pistachio cheescake. The overall meal was very nice and friendly service, but you need to speak italian or German. I definitely recommend a visit to this place if you want to try something traditional and local and you aren't set on having your normal typical italian pasts and pizza.

I just counted - coming here since 1979, nearly every year where ever on Earth I was living then (Brasil, US, South Africa, Sweden and other places). The quality is on top level since nearly 50 years, even the owner (at cashier now) and some of the service and kitchen stuff go back a long time. As long as I can walk and travel, I will come here and enjoy genuine regional food

Good restaurant overall. Service a bit fast but ok. Carne Salada a bit too tick, I would say 4/5. The beautiful surroundings and scene are very characteristic. Worth a visit.

Amazing Trentino food. The carne salad is good both raw and cooked. But the highlights of our meal were the canederli with crispy speck and walnuts, the apple pie which was served warm, and the lemon sorbetto. Cozy traditional decor and very hearty portions. We took two extra slices of apple pie to go and they were delicious even reheated.

I can't say it was bad: it wouldn't be fair. We had top quality "salumi" (lardo, salame, speck,...) with a mix of vegetables "sweet and sour" (agrodolce). The wine was also very good: we had a red one, still of course, Marzemino. Nothing to say, all good. But the "carne salada" (solted meat, literally, but it is actually seasoned with other spices)... rather disappointing. It's a typical local dish and they missed the point: it was too fresh and the flavours af the spices were not perceivable in the meat. They didn't give it the time to work properly. So, the meat was good, but no "salada" at all. A real shame. Staff super cool: polite, quick, very atte tive to the Covid rules... Very good. So, good overall, but... far from the top. If you liked the post, think about following me. Now you can ;0)

Quirky building and staff but very welcoming. Told by a friend to have the meat salad and it with a side of beans was lovely.
