Trattoria Pomo D'Oro

We came for a group lunch and had a great experience. We were a big party and we got a seating without a reservation. The staff is very nice and professional and makes great recommendations. Their entire menu is great and you will find all the traditional dishes suited for both meat eaters and veggetarians. My recommendation is canneloni and lasagna. They are both exceptional. A must for any foody and Italy lover. 🇮🇹♥️

Great atmosphere, very warm and welcoming. Zoli was incredibly kind and gave us amazing recommendations! The Pasta Bigoli was seasoned very well, not too salty nor fatty, and every pasta was coated well with the sauce. The pasta was on the harder side which I loved. Rosé duck breast was perfectly cooked, tender and balanced very well with the various condiments/sauces The Hamis Szarvasgomba, burrata cheese fried in black crumbs with salty pistachio sauce was amazing too! Very interesting texture on the outside with creamy and fresh burrata. Dessert apple tart was delicious as well crème brûlée with ice cream

We decided to come here spontaneously and it was the best decision we ever did. The service was great, and the food was delicious! Our waiter was extremely attentive and took our individual wishes into account, which we really appreciated - We are for sure coming again, thank you so much!

We tried to walk in but it was full so we booked for the following evening. We shared 3 pastas which were delicious and well seasoned. For pudding we had the chocolate cakelet which was basically melt in the middle which was very tasty. Atmosphere was buzzing and very cosy! The service was…interesting. One waiter was a little impatient and unfriendly but nevertheless, very attentive. I will say there seemed to be only one size of wine glass and the amount was quite small.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! As a vegetarian, I didn’t expect a wide selection, but the team went above and beyond they made a custom Aglio Olio for us(not in the menu), and their DOP pizza was absolutely outstanding. The garlic oil and chili oil were the perfect touch, a true delight for an Indian palate. The desserts, especially the tiramisu and panna cotta, were mind-blowing. This place is an absolute must-visit, easily among the top Italian restaurants in Budapest.

As always we had a perfect dinner, wonderful service amazing food and excellent atmosphere. Can more than recommend this amazing place. The olive oil is fabulous don’t miss out on that.

Very welcoming when you walk in. We had a reservation for 8:30pm on a Sunday. We were seated promptly. The bolognese was very delicious. Our server left for the evening, shortly after we finished our meal. A younger server cleared our table and asked if we would like dessert. Our response was yes. 20 minutes passed. A different, older server returned with the dessert menu and expressed the kitchen was closing and that we must order fast. That soured our desire for dessert, even though we were looking forward to it.

An excellent Italian restaurant with outstanding pizza. They offer several types of pizza, and while the menu isn’t very extensive, both the pizza and pasta are excellent. The ravioli is a bit less impressive. There’s no dedicated kids’ menu, but the pizza portions are perfect for children. Desserts are also very good. Reservations are a must, otherwise, expect about a 40-minute wait.
