Had the best experience here! Food was delicious (the best we had in the 5 days we were in Rome). Christina, our server was not only accommodating but extremely kind! Had a great homey atmosphere and very authentic. 10/10 would recommend.

Google
Restaurant which is not honest enough to tell people the real reason why they're turning certain customers away. Ironic because they're right across a church. Do not let this restaurant ruin your experience at Appian Way, which has some of the most welcoming staff right next door at Ecobike.

Like what the other reviews remarked, the restaurant had just opened and the lady said it was "full". Since it's a weekend and there might be reservations, we decided not to press further even though there were only 2 full tables. We then asked whether it was possible to do takeout and the lady flat out told us no. If only locals are welcomed, then own it and put up a sign outside instead of wasting time for both parties.

Wonderful. Traditional place very close to the catacombs. Simple, delicious food.

Authentic roman food. The food was delicious and enough for a small lunch. The traffic noise would have bothered us more in the evening. The waiter was listless.

Terrible place with rude service. We were refused a table even though there were empty ones available, and right in front of us another couple was seated without any issues. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Excellent cuisine and an ancient history. Further along one of the most beautiful, ancient and frequented streets in the world of the Capital, the Appia Antica, is the Trattoria Priscilla, immersed in the Park and surrounded by historical monuments that evoke the legendary birth of the "Eternal City" that the myth it traditionally dates back to Romulus and Remus, such as the tomb of Cecilia Metella, the Porta di San Sebastiano, the Fosse Ardeatine and the Catacombs of San Callisto and San Sebastiano. The Trattoria Priscilla was formerly a post office with an inn, where it was possible to let the horses catch their breath and rest while waiting to leave. The walls are of medieval origin and its name derives from the presence of an ancient sepulcher located next to the room, and the burial ground of Priscilla, wife of Tito Flavio Abascanto, influential freedman of the emperor Domitian. The restaurant has been managed, since the early 1900s, by the Ratini family, of which the current owner Alessandro is a part. The restaurant has two rooms and an ancient atmosphere, where solid wood is the great protagonist: from the square tables, set with white and blue raw linen tablecloths, to the chairs, to the splendid sideboard from the early 1900s. in front of the entrance. A visit to this place is a must for those who love good food, but also for those who appreciate the priceless anecdotes of Roman life and jokes, of which the title Ilare Alessandro, head of the servants, is a very good singer. - uncle at the table, who between courses entertains customers with his proverbial sympathy. The cuisine is in keeping with the environment of the restaurant and is exactly what the customer expects when visiting. From here never, in living memory, has gone away disappointed Indeed, it is frequent that anyone who has been there once does not hesitate to return shortly, both for the pleasure of enjoying the familiar atmosphere with an ancient flavor. , both for the delicacy of its specialties. Trattoria Priscilla offers simple cuisine, characterized by numerous traditional Roman dishes, including the celebrated tonnarelli cacio e pepe, amatriciana and the glorious mines. stre of pasta and beans and pasta and chickpeas. Among the meats, the veal breast with baked potatoes, the stew alla caccia tora with potatoes, the tripe and the boiled meat "Alla Picchiapo". Among the desserts, the much sought after homemade homemade tiramisò deserves a special mention, which is truly a specialty without par The restaurant is popular with both Romans and many tourists from all over the world who come to the city to visit the beauties of ancient Rome. But there are also numerous prominent personalities from the world of art, culture, politics, cinema, theater and sport who have always chosen the Trattoria Priscilla for a leap into the Rome of yesteryear, which here preserves its charm and its vitality intact. Yelp
I am a Roman native and I can tell you that the food here is really "casareccia" just like nonna cooks at home, and 100% Roman. We came here for the first time 7 years ago in winter (sugo al cinghiale!) and this year in summer (saltimbocca, trippa, polpette). All really good and authentic. We will definitely come again when we are in town!!!

Yelp
Please don't let the few bad reviews keep you away from here. This place is the definition of hidden jewel. My wife and I stayed at and Airbnb down the street and we ate here every night we were in Rome. This isn't what we usually do, but the food here is so good we had to try everything. The veal with potatoes was the standout for me. This is hands down the best dish I have ever had. Anywhere. If you're not from Rome, you'll probably be the only non locals here. The waiter and the owner seem to know everyone that walks through the door. If you like wine (which I don't as a general rule), there house red is fantastic. At only €10 per liter, it's a great deal. The meal always started with free bruschetta and ended with free cookies and limoncello. For two of us to eat a pasta dish and main dish each as well as amazing tiaramisu and a liter of wine for around €60, we were very happy. I highly recommend this trattoria to anyone that wants to venture a little outside of Rome, or if you're on the Appia Antica to see the catacombs just down the street

Yelp
Excellent hidden traditional trattoria with a long history that tourists don't know about. rustic, yet nice and welcoming, family style cooking fron Roman traditions with very reasonable prices. I have been here many times during years...this time I had a great plate of Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and Roman - style triple (not very light, but definitely tasty, with the traditional hint of mint). an apetizer of tomato bruschetta offered by the restaurant and a final amaro offered as well by the restaurant. Hand written menu. For 2 plates of pasta, 2 second dishes, 1 desert, a big bottle of beer, one of water, a desert (+ free bruschetta + free amaro or limoncello): 48€

Yelp
Restaurant half full. Would not let us have just drinks and dessert, mid-afternoon and very rude about it.
