"Via dell'Amore, Riomaggiore One of the highlights of my trip to Italy was walking Cinque Terre. I would travel back to Italy just to do this walk again. My favorite part was the Via dell'Amore, or Walk of Love that went from Riomaggiore to Manarola. This is a picture of one of the many tunnels built into the mountain. The walls were covered with this amazing grafiti. The colors were so vibrant and bold. Right after this tunnel is where you start to see the thousands and thousands of locks couples in love would add with their names on them. Such a romantic and spectacular walk. By Jennifer DeLap"

Stopped in for a bite after hiking over the hill from Manarola. Sat outside and ordered local wine with a simple tomatoe bruscetta. Italians really know how to make simple beautiful and delicious. It was amazing.

We went there for lunch. We got the seafood spaghetti and the trofie with pesto. Both dishes were exceptional. Was the best pesto pasta I’ve had in Cinque Terre so far. Extremely reasonable prices as well!

A short walk away from the busy street of Riomaggiore was a small seafood trattoria with no line and better prices. The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. The pesto was amazing and the seafood pasta also. Really really good.

Came here for lunch after I couldn't find a restaurant at Vernazza. Ordered the pesto, mixed grilled fish and a brownie. All was good since I was starving 😂 The owner asked where I come from and he seems to know a little bit about Vietnam. High recommend :) Especially since it is right next to the station.

We were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant in the Cinque Terre area and found this place recommended by a blogger. We ordered several dishes pasta (trofie) with pesto, anchovies done two ways (cured in lemon with olive oil, deep fried), sea bream roasted with tomatoes and olives. All the dishes were excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant. So many of the restaurants in the area are overpriced or very poor quality. This place is true gem and you could tell as so many locals were eating there.

Had a good experience dining here, it was on March and the restaurant is not too crowded. The lady waitress is very friendly and the food is good. we ate 2 dishes : Aperitif de fruit de mer mixte (Mixed seafood) and trofie a trenette al pesto (trenette pasta with basil sauce). i can recommend both of them! both are considered local delicacies

Yelp
The house red wine was superb. Filet fish was fresh with pine nuts and well done. The salad was more than great - baby spinach off the soil. Dessert was ice cream with raisins and amazing. Owened by Rocci and his sister. Recommending this unequivocally.

Yelp
It was past 10 pm as we arrived from Manarola. The Trattoria is very close to the train station, it was open so we went in. It is a very charming restaurant. I am not sure but it felt family-operated. Our waiter was super friendly and made us feel like guests at a good friend's home. Even though it was late we were not rushed at all. We had steak, fish, and a salad along with a couple glasses of wine. The steak was surprisingly good and cooked exactly as we asked for it. The fish was delicious. The menu had very little detail about how it was prepared. When it arrived, it was obvious it was baked with herbs and garlic inside the fish. The result was a very tender, perfectly cooked, and super flavorful fish. One of the best I have had. Simply wonderful. If you are in town, stop by. You will most likely be glad you did.

Yelp
**EAT HERE** We stumbled upon this restaurant trying to avoid walking down a million steps and back into the center of town for dinner. We just happened to see it when getting off of the train. It is tucked away in the corner of the Riomaggiore train station next to the coffee shop. We figured we would give it and try and we had one of the best meals while in the Cinque Terre! The restaurant is not fancy but has typical home style feel. Our waitress was very accommodating and spoke english. There were two woman cooking inside of the kitchen which brought us hope that the food would be good. They have a good wine list but we opted for the Vermentino as it was our favorite while in the area. They even allowed us to take a bottle to go. The menu has a large variety of seafood and pasta dishes. My husband and I both ordered the lobster pasta. It is required to buy two servings. Our dishes came out with a 1/2 of a full lobster each!! The lobster was cut in half for us exposing the tail but we had to fish out the claw and body meat on our own. Which was awesome! The lobster was obviously basted after boiled in a delicious garlic, butter herb sauce that we could taste thru and thru. Perfectly cooked and succulent. The lobster was served on top of a big serving of super yummy linguine pasta with a rich, herby lobster sauce! We used all of the bread to soak up the sauce. Our plates were clean after we were finished! Eat at this unassuming restaurant which is easily accessible from the train station and before all of the stairs into the heart of the city. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
American traveler here!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone coming to visit Cinque Terre!!! Came here during the summer for my European vacation and loved this place!!! Me and my friend arrived late at night for dinner and I had the BEST italian sea food EVER. The server and chef were so nice and accommodating. This place has a beautiful, Italian charm that makes it a great place for a Romantic date. I loved the intimate restaurant setting with artwork and candle-lit ambiance. Do yourself a favor and order the delicious SCOLGIO!!!!!!! :)

Yelp
This restaurant was one of the few seafood places in Cinque Terre despite being on the Mediterranean. If you are searching for local seafood that is not fried, then I would recommend trying this place. Located near the entrance of the Via Dell-Amore and train tunnel in Riomaggiore, the Trattoria was quiet later in the evening. We sat inside a quaint area with ocean decor. To start, we ordered the carpaccio platter which had an assortment of thinly sliced raw swordfish, tuna, prawns and octopus. All was very fresh! We also shared the mixed grilled seafood platter which I could have easily eaten by myself. The swordfish was a bit thin and dry but everything else was tasty. The balsamic reduction added a needed tanginess and sweetness to the dish. You will need to order quite a bit if you have a large appetite as the food is light and does not have any accompaniments. The prices were pretty high for the amount of seafood but worth the price for the freshness and variety. Despite eating late in the evening, our waitress did not rush us. This was probably my favorite meal in Cinque Terre.

Yelp
Very comforting place. The owner had old American jazz music playing. There was a large Italian family that dined there. Looked like locals which is very promising. It's next to train station and next to entrance to via de amore hence the name of the restaurant. We came for an early dinner at 7pm so it wasn't too busy. Pesto was good, a regular mentioned to another customer that this is the best pesto. I say it was pretty good! I haven't had other pesto in Italy to compare. We came here because it was close to our place of stay and wanted something convenient our first night. I have no regrets!

Yelp
After eating all over Italy, I can tell you this was my least favorite restaurant of the trip. We came in for lunch and were some of the only people in there. The staff seemed uninterested in having us there as well. The food was expensive for the quality for sure. I would find somewhere else to eat...

Yelp
We came here twice during our stay in Riomaggiorre, due to it being the only place open this time of the year. Luckily it was an awesome experience both times. It has a mom and pop feel to it. The pasta with mussels and ravioli with sage and butter were great, as was the grilled branzino. However, the highlight for us was the seafood risotto, full of clams, mussels, crawfish and calamari with a nice peppery kick. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Our best meal in the Cinque Terre, and quite possibly during our entire trip to Italy. This place saved the whole region from us telling people "go for the views, not the food." Clearly family run, old style place. Everything is extremely fresh. My wife had some type of lemon ravioli, which is the one of the best things I tasted in Italy since our arrival a week ago. She also had the pork, which was good. I had the pesto (fantastic) and the house fish, which was incredible and came while with a variety of other fruits of the sea. Absolutely outstanding in every respect, and an experience that can't be matched. Great service and excellent food. One of our best meals in Italy. Skip the places on the main drag and visit this place- you won't regret it.

Yelp
The food is impeccable. Service outstanding. Five stars for everything possible. You would be making a huge mistake to go to Riomaggiore and eat anywhere else but here. So nice we ate here twice.

Yelp
Located near the train station, it is a fair place to eat. Not too crowded. The food a bit overpriced for the quality. We went in for the seafood pasta and after reading good reviews, but we were a bit disappointed. Maybe our expectations were higher than they should have been. Will not ve coming back here.

Yelp
Very delicious, fresh, and much more local so not many tourist fill the restaurant. Make sure to order a pesto dish and a cinque terre antipasto.

Yelp
Do not miss this hidden gem! Forget the main tourist street, come here instead. Authentic local food delicious and not tourist prices. Great local seafood dishes. Waiter was awesome and some personal !
