The 10 Best Hostels in Prague (Updated 2025)

"This family-owned, centrally located hostel is close to everything and even has a traditional Czech restaurant on-site; in summer there’s a nice new terrace, and the vibe is low-key and intimate rather than party-focused. The beds are basic bunks with thin mattresses and no curtains, but rooms are clean and spacious with lockers and reading lights." - Matthew Kepnes

This hostel is a 20-minute walk from the main train station or less by tram. It is in a building at the back of an alley, sharing the space with a couple of small restaurants. The good side: it is further away from the street with all the trams. The bad side: it's an old building with thin walls; so you can hear the people in the next room, the stairways or in the alley (small restaurant downstairs). Very echoey. Bring earplugs.||My room was part of a 2-bedroom apartment. I therefore shared the kitchen-living room and the bathroom & shower with whoever was in the other bedroom. Practically never saw anyone since we had different hours but I did hear them (thin walls, remember?). No issue with the shared kitchen since they did their dishes and left everything in order like me.||The bedroom itself was clean and quite spacious, with a large bed, a small counter, a wardrobe and a TV. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped with small fridge, hot plate, microwave, plates and utensils. There was even an ironing board and a clothes dryer. There was no washing machine but 2 streets away you will find a laudrymat (bring soap and some change). Heating worked fine in my bedroom but not in the kitchen. I mentioned it to the person at the desk but no one came to fix it. ||So, it's an old building with its quirks, but it was clean & close to everything. Good enough for me.

Rooms were spacious and lower bunk beds had curtains. The rooms weren't busy so there was plenty more space too. The kitchen had a cook stove top and fridge and cook cooking equipment. Good clothes drying equipment (no washing machine) and a separate toilet to the shower. Reviews mention noise. I was on the 2md floor and I didn't not have an issue with noise. We are sleeping above a pub.

Perfect place for price. At first we couldn't find the entrance but then found a small sign with it's name. The hostel rooms and toilets were clean. We stayed in an 8-bunk beds dorm. All necessary amenities are there for a short time and also long time stay

Terrible experience. We've been robbed in our private room while sleeping by someone who probably owns copies of the room's keys. We received no help from the hotel staff or the manager, even when we came with the police and explained that we felt unsafe. We had to find another hotel, and they didn't even refund our money for the next night. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ACCOMMODATION TO ANYONE.

My friends and I stayed here for 4 days, and the rooms looked nothing like the pictures. The curtains were useless, as the sunlight came straight through. We had to share the room with another guy who brought in people that weren’t even staying here and threw a party. Because of that, we were fined for being too loud. There was no privacy at all, and the door to our hostel room couldn’t even be locked. I would not recommend staying here – better look for another hostel. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Worse experience of my life, while i was sleeping two guys entered in my room and stole all I had. so i couldn’t return to my country. Then they didn’t want to return the money or something to compense the stealing so please don’t ho to this hotel because is very very insecure

Nice hostel with pretty rooms, good location and a kitchen. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. The hostel is located next to a metro station and it is noisy because of that, even in the night. We would still recommand this place due to the nice staff, the equiped kitchen and the location for a cheap price.

Decent hotel at a very accessible location. We had one of the "apartments" booked, which had a twin shower and a bathroom accompanied by three bedrooms and a kitchen. Worked well for our bachelors party trip.
