Traveler's Factory Nakameguro

Firstly, the location was a few minutes from Nakameguro Station; super accessible! When I arrived, it was around 1:00pm and there was a short queue. The inside was quaint and super cozy. This place is a must visit! Especially if you are into stationary items. 10/10. Would go again.

This location is awesome. It’s really small just like the one at Tokyo Station, but that kind of adds a charm to it. They limit the foot traffic because of this, but it’s worth the wait in line. Take some water. Some of the items I were looking for were out of stock, and after looking at the prices, I can see why. I really took it for granted and didn’t stock up! But I managed to get two journals for my fiends back home and decked them out with stamps from the stamp station. I didn’t grab a photo of it, but it’s there and it’s easy to get carried away, haha. If enjoy journaling, this place is a MUST on your trip to Tokyo! 10/10

I think compared to all the TN outlets (Kyoto/Narita Airport/Tokyo station) this place is my least favourite. Everything i wanted was out of stock too 😭 Visted here at mid-day, queued less than 10mins to get in

Very overrated place! Very tiny place with huge queue outside. Cafe doesn't work and simple, standard things inside...I didn't understand why people making so much hype around this place. About stamps - most of them with a shop logo))) Of you are around and no big queue you can enter, but in general nothing much special.

This was such a delightful place! Loved the friendly cozy vibes and helpful staff. I did not have plans to get a diary but everything was so lovely and I was sold! My 15 year old girl was happily stamping and decorating her new dairy from Narita outlet a few days earlier. We spent an hour there stocking up refills and inserts for our 4 new diaries 🤪 We will definitely be back when we next visit Tokyo😊

Not sure what the hype is all about. Their bags are thin and of poor quality, and their notebook designs are nothing special — you can find similar designs at mainstream stores. Offerings are on the pricier side too.

I was disappointed! That their cafe was closed when we went over. But other than that, totally loved the place. Their things were well made and still priced decently. Although the shop was small, they had a lot of usefully things, and I fell in love with their tin boxes at first glance. The staff were also friendly and can speak English well, with one guiding me to a recommended cafe to wait for my friend while she shopped. Definitely pay them a visit if you like unqiue notebooks, leather stuff, tin boxes or just like something out of the ordinary for your everyday usage.

Tiny shop in Nakameguro filled with beautiful stationery and leather goods. Staffs are kind and caring to explain for any questions! If you are in the area, highly recommended to stop by! However, I would rate them with 4 stars because one of the sales person told my daughter not to touch anything when she was there waiting for me to purchase Traveler’s Notebook for my friend and myself. Who knows she could be the customer in the future?

So cute. A must for stationary lovers. In a quiet neighborhood south of Shibuya. Really lovely.

The staff was amazing. Helpful and attentive lots of interesting things to share and show your love of travel. A must stop when in Japan. I'm so excited to visit again and to start my travel logs with everything I had a chance to see and enjoy

busy store...I felt unwanted....staff following me around and rearranging anything I touched . they won't let you stamp anything unless you buy it there and only notebook not anything else....the clerk gave a japanese customer a nice piece of paper to stamp but no one else. I had an unpleasant experience at store I was looking forward to visiting.

This place was on my bucket list of places to go to when planning for Japan. Since we were already in Shibuya, this was just a stones throw away from the train station but my navigator steered me thirty minutes on foot in the wrong direction! Long story, one hour later hoofing it here (where it would have only been a 15 minute walk from exiting the train) I was still all smiles and tired feet as I entered here. You'll feel like you're lost when you're looking for this place because it's in a residential area. I can see the actual storefront being an actual house but keep your eyes peeled. It's about two blocks or so away from the main street. The actual store is tiny and I would caution you to be aware of what your handbag or backpack hits as you maneuver your way around. There are tons of cute things to buy and things you can only get at the store. One of the best perks is being able to use the stamps on your goods (purchase first) and perhaps mailing a postcard to yourself from the store. They sell overseas postage stamps at the register, merely ask for it. There is an upstairs but it was full of husbands and boyfriends all waiting for their ladies to finish their shopping downstairs. They speak pretty good English here and can help you find what you're looking for. Definitely worth coming to visit again!

Traveler's Factory is perhaps one of the best known places to get yourself a "custom" notebook in Tokyo. Fromspecialty paper clips to courier bags, the tiny shop carries just about anything a stationery junkie can dream of. Want to spend a little extra time pondering about what to write on that little postcard without leaving TF? The second level serves as an open cafe where you get to enjoy that peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just remember to order your beverage through the cashier on the first level. After you'we done with your message of love, simply head to the cashier and purchase your stamps. TF provides onsite mailing service for cards and postcards. Just remember to add that special finishing touch before sending them off - apply the free custom TF ink stamps by the mail box. TF certainly left a mark in our traveling notebook.

Yelp 100 Challenge: 2/100 Totally nerding out!! I'm a huge Midori Travelers Notebook fan! I buy all my supplies from Amazon and a few rare bookstores in DTLA. I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY to go to JAPAN! And of course this store was on the top of my list. My brother and I finally made the journey to the store and found out it was closed for New Years!!! I was near tears. We saw a couple workers stocking the shelves and my brother took in courage and knocked on the glass to state our situation. After hearing that we came all the way from LA to come to this store and I had brought my own Midori, he decided to let us go in to look around. After geeking out and taking pictures, I saw a few key pieces I really needed to take home with me. My brother, little angel, asked again if we could purchase a few things. After much deliberation they allowed us to shop and purchase!!! Basically. Fellow Midori lovers, be jealous. I had the opportunity to exclusively shop in the store, in the new year!! I got to be their first customer in 2018! Sigh. I really could just spend hours and so much money. PLEASE PLEASE OPEN UP A SHOP IN LA. I will so back you up and support you guys! Any Midori lovers in LA? I'd love to connect, a lot of users are overseas in Malaysia.

I AM IN LOVE! I have been dying to check out the Travelers Factory in person! I am from the US, so this was a huge treat for me as it is hard to come across these goodies there. Atmosphere was perfect! They had so many Midori goodies in stock. Absolutely loved how they had several sample pages posted everywhere and on the walls. They even had a cute upstairs cafe area where you can decorate your journal and have a beer! If you're a Midori fan or a stationery lover in general - I definitely recommend going!

My good friend from the US asked to pick up something for her while I am here visiting, so we took a taxi from the JR station, but to our disappointment they were closed for New Year until Jan. 7th, so we missed them and certainly want to try again in another day.

Great place to check out if you're in this part of Tokyo. Love the vintage aviation themed merchandise and overall unique items they carry!

I'm in love with all things made by Midori. The Traveler's Factory is a beautiful shop with countless goodies to splurge on. This is my third visit here during this trip and I will surely be back at least a few times more before leaving.
