We recently used a Travellers Autobarn campervan via an Imoova relocation from San Francisco to Las Vegas.
The van itself was clean, reliable, and exactly what we needed for the trip. Communication from Travellers Autobarn was also friendly and professional throughout.
However, the relocation pricing model was misleading in practice. The relocation included only three free days, which isn’t a realistic timeframe to travel from SF to LV while actually camping. Extending the trip was unavoidable, and the additional days ended up costing more per day than Travellers Autobarn’s standard rental rates once third-party fees were added.
By the time fuel and return flights were factored in, the total cost exceeded what a normal round-trip rental from San Francisco would have been, without the inconvenience of a one-way trip..
Travellers Autobarn confirmed this was a “legitimate relocation,” but from a customer perspective it felt like paying standard (or higher) rental rates while relocating their vehicle, which undermines the idea of a relocation being a genuine discount.
Bottom line: great vans and good customer service, but if you’re considering a relocation, read the fine print very carefully. In hindsight, we would have booked directly with Travellers Autobarn instead.
