Travellers Rest Motor Inn

The Traveller’s Rest Motor Inn was a fantastic choice for our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Its convenient location is a standout feature, with a close walk to the river and easy access to the Commercial Hotel directly through the car park. The quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds made for a great night’s sleep. Highly recommend this motor inn for anyone seeking a reliable and pleasant place to stay.

The room wasn't too bad except for the bathroom basin serving as a sink as well in the kitchen area. However avoid this place like the plague if you want a restful night, the hotel behind played doof doof music until 3am, and it vibrates right through the room. Covering your ears doesn't help, it pounds your body.

Where do I start! -only real positive is the location -dated rooms with a bathroom basin in the kitchen (there is not one in the bathroom) -check in totally disorganised. Arrived at 2pm with a sign on the door advising to go to the main bar at the Commercial Hotel behind the motel to check in. Went to the main bar and was told that someone would be at the motel reception in a few minutes. Went back to reception waited 10 minutes no show. Went back to the main bar and they said sorry we will check you in here. Room pass provided went to room and pass doesn’t work- back to the main bar and a new pass provided. Back to the room and this one worked. No towels in the room so back to the main bar again. Towels delivered to the room 5 minutes later -air conditioning remote doesn’t work (not going back to the main bar again)

Rooms and facilities are kept reasonable clean, and you’ve got a budget-friendly place with a nice little pool. Only downside? The loud weekend music makes it tough to catch some sleep. You can hear the neighboring toilets flush pretty loudly. Just a heads up, there’s no front desk service on public holidays. By the way, booking through a third-party site is usually cheaper than going through the hotel’s website or booking in person.

I have nothing bad to say about this motel and iv stay in heaps. Lacation walking distance to the shops and a club right behind witch the food is amazing. Rooms are clean and bed is really nice to sleep on one of the best in vic i would have to say. Travellers motel is the place to stay in swan hill. Plenty if parking for trucks and friendly owner. Yes its not for everyone on the price but i find its worth it.

Great budget motel in a good position. The rooms are a bit tired, reflecting their age. Close to great pub for meals and to a supermarket.
