Travellers Rest Motor Inn

Stayed here a couple of nights was only staying one night but asked to stay another and the lady was very helpful and accommodating. Great location next to the pub and a short walk into the town centre. We checked in on a Sunday and the staff in the pub were very helpful. Room was clean. Was a bit noisy being close to the road could here the traffic a lot and could also here the showering going in other rooms. There were doing some renovations in other rooms so looks like the are starting to upgrade rooms. Bed was quite hard though. Overall a nice clean place to stay.

This motel has nice spacious rooms and has an excellent hotel/pub right beside it. Unfortunately booking a room in this motel is not advised on public holidays. No reception staff, office locked and when you call you are told to go to the pub next door. Yes that was sorted although i had to change the room, i had requested ground floor. Young staff member at the hotel, Thomas, was definitely on the ball and super efficient. The bed was quite hard, and with only two flat pillows supplied. Did i mention? Not a staff member in sight, or contactable. Disappointing..

Good motel right next to the Commercial Hotel. Spacious and clean rooms. Location is convenient. |I was able to arrange an early check in which was convenient. I would recommend this motel.|There isn't a wow factor but good value and good service.

Handy location, rooms a little tired, but comfortable. Unfortunately, renovation works started at 7;45am with hammer drills reverberating through the whole structure. Perhaps delay your stay until the reno's are completed.

The Traveller’s Rest Motor Inn was a fantastic choice for our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Its convenient location is a standout feature, with a close walk to the river and easy access to the Commercial Hotel directly through the car park. The quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds made for a great night’s sleep. Highly recommend this motor inn for anyone seeking a reliable and pleasant place to stay.

Please everyone avoid this place The place is filthy Bathroom needs repairs badly Lightning zero No bedside table or lights Was told last one left your lucky 🍀 day Went out to check on my car 🚗 which I couldn’t park near my room which I was concerned about the safety of it @ 10.30 at night 7 cars I think 🤔 I may of been told a ????? No vanity in bathroom The list goes on Horrible dirty motel 1 star ⭐️ if that

Where do I start! -only real positive is the location -dated rooms with a bathroom basin in the kitchen (there is not one in the bathroom) -check in totally disorganised. Arrived at 2pm with a sign on the door advising to go to the main bar at the Commercial Hotel behind the motel to check in. Went to the main bar and was told that someone would be at the motel reception in a few minutes. Went back to reception waited 10 minutes no show. Went back to the main bar and they said sorry we will check you in here. Room pass provided went to room and pass doesn’t work- back to the main bar and a new pass provided. Back to the room and this one worked. No towels in the room so back to the main bar again. Towels delivered to the room 5 minutes later -air conditioning remote doesn’t work (not going back to the main bar again)

The room wasn't too bad except for the bathroom basin serving as a sink as well in the kitchen area. However avoid this place like the plague if you want a restful night, the hotel behind played doof doof music until 3am, and it vibrates right through the room. Covering your ears doesn't help, it pounds your body.
