Just wanted to flag a frustrating experience at Travelodge this evening. Upon check-in, we specifically asked what time the restaurant was open until and were told 8:30pm. We came down at just after 8:00pm, only to be told the kitchen had closed at 7:45pm. Staff then told us we should’ve known from the QR code in the room, which, as it turns out, contains no information about restaurant hours.
I checked the Travelodge website, which states the restaurant is open until 8:00pm, making that three different pieces of conflicting information, none of which helped us actually get dinner.
When I brought this up with the night receptionist, her attitude was defensive and dismissive, suggesting I should have somehow asked her earlier. Not the response you’d hope for.
I’m not too upset about missing a meal, but the lack of clear, consistent communication and the poor customer service that followed really let the experience down.
