Stayed here as it was close to an event I was attending in town. Was a good central location, but despite requesting a carpark on site well in advance, I had to park around the block. Was also charged card surcharges on everything, but they didn't have any sign up advising of this (which I believe they are supposed to advise of this). ||I am an e-club member and my booking was supposed to include a complimentary reward - not sure what that was supposed to be but I never got anything. | |Room was okay - but shower is a waterfall head hanging from the ceiling which I hate. Shower is also quite small in size / space. Pillows were all way too soft. Not great for someone with neck issues (thankfully I took my own pillow with me). But room was clean and fine for a one night stay.||Decided to pay for the buffet breakfast, but at $21 + surcharge it was overpriced for what they served - especially if you have any dietary requirements. It was a very basic offering. We would have had much better breakfast if we went to a cafe instead. ||So overall - Staff at service desk were friendly, and location can be convenient for some things (depending on what you are in town for) but personally I'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

This is a popular hotel for Tour Groups. It is a short walk to several of Hobart's attractions as well as the harbor. Our group included a continental breakfast with our tour. The continental breakfast included toast, cold ceral, yogurt, fresh fruit, orange juice and an array of coffee drinks. A hot breakfast was available for an additional charge.||The rooms are average size for a budget hotel, They have a sink & refrigerator in the room which was nice. The bathroom was miniscule. The sink there was cracked. The shower was open to the room, so the entire floor was a puddle once you took a shower. They make up your room daily, so it gets mopped up soon enough. The room was clean.||There is a coin operated guest laundry. Two washers, but only one operating dryer. Hopefully that's temporary it was an ok as it made for a logjam.||You can leave luggage for the day once you've checked out if you have a later flight. It's $5/nite if leaving while going elsewhere. ||It was an OK stay - nothing horrible, nothing exceptional.

Reasonably priced and a great location. However our stay was marred after a Lenovo charging cable and plug were accidentally left behind yet not handed in to lost property by housekeeping staff. ||Our window was locked, and it wasn't until we had checked out and looked back at the building that we realised that adjacent rooms were able to open their windows. Fresh air would really have improved our sleep quality as we don't like air conditioning.||Check in early if you want parking or you'll be using public parking a block away. Or free on-street parking from 1800 to 0800.

Stayed at Travelodge Hotel Hobart for 3 nights (Friday to Monday) in a corner room on level 2, and overall, it was a great experience. We arrived at 1:30pm, and Raph at the front desk was fantastic, graciously allowing an early check-in. We booked the eClub Exclusive - City Getaways package, which included daily breakfast, a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, and a 12pm late check-out. The room was very clean, and the hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk to excellent food and drink options in Battery Point and our go-to local, the Shamrock Hotel just up the street, for lovely meals. The only downsides were the noise from the pedestrian crossing signals outside, which I could hear all night (though it didn’t bother me too much), and the bathroom. The bathroom was very small, and the shower design caused water to spread across the entire floor, leaving it wet and slippery and soaking the bath mat after every use—this was a bit annoying. Breakfast offered a good selection of standard options, and the coffee machine made a nice coffee. All staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located, with a $30 Uber ride from the airport and Europcar car hire just a short walk away. We hired a car for day trips out of the city, which was perfect and saved us from paying for parking. Overall, a solid stay, though the bathroom could use some improvement. Would recommend for its location and value!

Great location with friendly staff. We spent seven nights here and then one night on the way home. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, had good heating and were clean. The first room had a very tiny kitchenette which was fine for us, the second room just had a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The first room size was fine but the bathroom was incredibly small, it had an awkward layout, you wouldn't want to be on the larger size. The second room was small in size but suited our needs and the bathroom was configured better so you felt you had more space. The walls were a bit thin but everyone respected each other so it wasn't a problem. I would definitely stay there again, the price was very reasonable.

We stayed 2 nights in a compact Queen room, and whilst it is slightly smaller than most rooms, it was very comfortable, neat, and clean. The cost was unbeatable for budget savvy travellers. We luckily also obtained 2 nights in the basement carpark, which is a first come, first served basis. On- street parking is mostly free after 6:30pm-8:30am, but is metered per hour during the day.

Excellent overall. Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Central location. Good value for the dollar. Buffet breakfast is plentiful. I’m still here so it must be good 🙂

The rooms were very crammed and the shower was very weird, I didn't enjoy that. The service was quite subpar. Despite all this the views from some rooms had very great views and the location was great, straight above Mr. Good guy, a delicious restaurant!!!

Yelp
Definitely value for money! Located in central Hobart close to salamanca markets, the botanic gardens, and waterfront restaurants, travelodge is a budget-friendly clean place to stay while visiting Hobart. Undercover Secure Parking is around $12 per day and can be paid to Travelodge directly. Buffet breakfast is $16 per day. Includes room service menu. rooms are clean with sweet smelling toiletries - my friend likes to steal bathroom toiletry and she liked it so much that she asked for extras!!?! Clean. Includes TV (can pay for movies). Great heating. Friendly staff Will definitely stay here again 100MB free wi-fi per day which gets used up within minutes (bizarre).
