You get what you pay for I guess. The pool is the saving grace here. It's perfect for kids! The room was clean-ish, the TV didn't work and they couldn't have cared less, there were no blankets and pillows for the pull out, apparently they were "out". But all in all the kids had fun. The atmosphere was nice, the other patrons were friendly and we had an enjoyable weekend. They could use some spiffing up of the place but at least it's not filthy. I hope you like cats, there's a bunch of feral cats here that have made it their home.

Cute quant rooms which made us feel like we weren’t staying at a regular motel which was nice. Upon arriving we first noticed the rooms lamps were missing 3 light bulbs. When I asked the lobby for another towel and light bulbs the front desk lady said she only had one more towel and they never found any bulbs for us. We ended up going out to buy the light bulbs and leaving a few there. The fridge kept cooling down and then icing back up so we threw away the food we came with. The floor was covered in smut. It was dirty behind the toilet. When we went to wipe down the sink/counter top area, it started to get lighter and grain appeared as if someone had cleaned with AJAX powder and didn’t rinse and wipe it properly afterward. The disabled accessibility bath seat looked like it hadn’t been used, moved or cleaned in years. We eventually took a look at the AC unit in our room and the filter was dirty, the coils hadn’t been scrubbed in a while so my husband took it upon himself to scrub them. The AC worked well afterward. One of the two phones in the room wasn’t working. There was no where to place your belongings in the bathroom for when you shower so we basically rearranged the entire room to fit our needs. We left a list of things that were missing when we checked out so that they wouldn’t assume we had taken things and charge us for them. On checkout day, we woke up around 10:40. We called the front desk and asked if we could have a late check out and pay whatever price they charge. The lady said “I’ll give you 30 more minutes. We need to clean the room.” That might have been what made me the most upset considering when we first got into our room, it looked clean but it wasn’t. Over all, it was quiet and no one bothered us during our stay which was very nice. It wasn’t dirty to the point of complete discomfort but I would not go back unless maintenance and maids gave the rooms a little more TLC. I understand that most of the customers are probably just extended stay customers so they probably expect people to bring most of their own things as if they were moving in but the least the cleaners could do is properly sweep, mop and sanitize. I would have liked to bring these things up to someone at the lobby but I did not think anyone would have been of assistance or have offered to accommodate us in any way. It’s a nice convenient place to stay if your in between living situations but if you’re looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights, do not waste your money.

Google
Great customer service when we were checked in and through out our stay. Rooms were clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the BBQ pits, picnic area /gazebo, playscape and pool. Breakfast area was a stocked and kept clean. Went ahead and booked a room for our stay in June! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star ... Beds were very firm. If you like a firm bed, you'll love it. But everything else was fabulous and I look forward to staying again.

Google
It is old and a bit run down. We really enjoyed the pool and landscaping. The pool is the bomb! There is a covered pavillionwith pic nice tables and a barbecue pit. Our cottage was adequate but the couch was old, soiled and crusty. The bathroom had loose tiles and had a strong urine smell. Maybe the other cottages are better? Also each cottage had a small covered porch which I also liked. Location is great!

Google
This is a great cheap place. As long as you know what you are getting. I just had a group there with over 10 rooms. They worked very well with us and we got a good price. The rooms are aged and need a remodel but for the price and size I think they are good. Some of the sofas really need recovered. Also the cleaning staff need to do a much better job before they give a room. Very nice pool and playground with a nice covered area. I highly recommend the place for youth groups coming to Schlitterbahn or six flags.

I'm not a very picky person with lodging, and I've stayed at 2-starred inns before, but this place is the most disgusting I've stayed in. The walls are dirty and some are broken. The bathroom smelled like pee and the shower tub was clogged. The bathroom floor was coming apart. The couch is very worn. The faucet and sink looked grimy and gross. The secondary lock is barely hanging on one screw. The fridge needs to be replaced. The only positive thing is that the staff seemed nice, and that the sink is situated outside the bathroom, so I didn't have to brush my teeth in that smelly bathroom. This place is so bad, we checked out after the first of two nights. We didn't care that we won't get the money that we paid for the second night back. My 2 year old developed hives on the sides of his face when he came into contact with the couch (it cleared up when we left). TL;DR This place is really unsanitary and run down (see pictures). We checked out after 1 out of the 2 nights we booked.

This place needs cleaning. Not just floors and restroom but the walls had food, gum and other stuff. Àlso much needed outside maintenance. But it was ok. I did like the the staff and was very courteous . Did love how they have a big pool not only for adults but also for little ones. A playground area for kids. A huge pit and tables for enjoyment. While We were not there to live, only to sleep and make a meal or 2. But overall did have fun in San Antonio. Enjoy

Google
I like staying here. Enjoy the rustic cabin feel. Beds are clean and comfortable and so was the coach. No insects to speak of we saw. Only problem was housekeeping could be a tad better. Some spots on the tv and tables and what looks like blood splatter on the telephone(??) But we don't use it so didn't bother us. Great place for the price.

Yelp
Due to some construction in our house, the landlord put us up in a motel for a week Jan 2016. We chose Travelodge for several reasons... * close to home * hot tubs * Wyndham reward points * low cost * one story cabin style motel rooms * porch with chairs to chill at your front door * pet friendly Travelodge is located in NE SA on Loop 410 (outside/north side) between Perrin-Beitel & Starcrest and also between US Hwy 281 & IH 35 on a larger scale... not far from SA Airport, Alamo Heights, Windcrest areas. Back in the late 90s I was organizing events for the Datsun Nissan Z Car Club. Our club hosted a weekend event and I chose this place for two reason: very affordable and cars are parking right outside their doors. April 2013, I had some friends stay here using their timeshare... they had a two bedroom suite and that room was really nice. All of this was in 'off season'. There is a huge pool that I'm sure gets crowded with families in the summer time. Nice large covered patio for organized events. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is ok, nothing special. It's a good decent place to stay for the price point. Yes, I would stay there again if I needed to. * Note * at the end of my stay, I found out that they were having issues with cars being broke into, especially in the back where we were staying. I had no issue, but it's scary. Just do what I have been taught... don't keep anything in the car that you don't want stolen. In NOLA, "they will steal a pencil!"... so just take everything out of the car! I have my windows tinted and keep my window shield up even at night and in parking garages to keep from being able to see in.

Yelp
It looked super cute from the front office, and when you first walked in we were pleasantly impressed; however, the couch was torn, we found so many roaches. Dead roaches in the room, dead spiders- a lot of bugs. The bathroom needs a good cleaning over. Won't be coming here again. I can't do bugs- they freak me out and gross me out.

Yelp
Upon arrival I checked in and requested a noon checkout. Before even looking at the reservation, the manager told me no, checkout is 11. She was a bit gruff about it. I informed her that I was a Diamond Rewards member and she allowed the noon checkout. Overall, the room was nice. There is a separate living area and bedroom area, with a TV in each room. The microwave was small, but did the job. The room was missing the hair drier, and I went to the front desk to request one, as well as 2 towels for the pool. The lady told me that someone would bring them to me. The pool was still locked at noon, and the clerk only opened one gate--the one closest to the office. After an hour at the pool, no towels. I requested them from the maid, but she said that I had to get them from the front desk. We never got the hair drier. There was a pool, a playground, picnic area, and BBQ pits. The pool as a baby section, a children's section, and the main part of the pool. There are also a couple of non-working fountains on the property that would make it nicer if they worked. The rooms are all on the first floor and have a small covered patio. The room could easily sleep 4 people, 2 in the bedroom and 2 on the sleeper sofa. The property shows some wear, but overall is in good condition. The property is easy to miss because of the trees. It is especially easy to miss at night because they did not turn on the sign at night. Parking can be an issue if you have a room on the other side of the pool. There is parking only on one side of the building. There are also stairs to navigate. Watch your bill. I used points for 2 free nights and was charged for one. They did credit my card back pretty quick, however.

Yelp
We've been here before and it was never as bad as our stay recently! As soon as we walked into the room it smelled of urine and wet wood. Our first sight was a broken sofa and wood panels on the floor that no longer fit. The toilet ended up clogging and not getting fixed till the next day and there was NO hot water!! The pool was decent and semi-clean. There's only a few staff members working and I thank them but COVID has not been kind to this place!

Yelp
I have stayed at this establishment 2x. For the price it is ok. However the second time that I stayed I met some friends at the hotel prior to going out for dinner. The manager was extremely abrasive And when I informed her that I didn't think that her attitude was appropriate she called the police and I was asked to leave. Well the establishment itself is nice especially for the price the management will prevent me from ever using the establishment again.

Yelp
We stopped here for a night cause our plane landed pretty late. So we've decided to stay somewhere close to the airport. This is a cute little place, the staff are friendly and nice. It is exactly what it is. A lodge. It feels homey but we were concern if there were bed bugs since it's a new place and area for us but, nope, NO BED BUGS. That's always good, right? If you ask will we stay there again? We would probably say yes for the price. Here are some images to update anyone that is planning to stay... Note, what I didn't like was the sink, also the bath tube. There are little cracks here and there but if this place has been around for a long time. I guess I don't really mind. Most important are the bed, sheets and blankets are clean.

Cathy A.

Yelp
When I go on vacation my hotel is the place I rest before I start going again. This place is the perfect place to chill out in between sight seeing. It's not fancy, it's not in the middle of everything (which I prefer) but it is clean and the staff is accommodating. Save your money for the important things, this is very affordable.

Yelp
Ambience: This 1-story motel is set in a rustic country/cabin village style. Family and guest-friendly set up due to amenities such as a pool, playground, and picnic areas. Each room had a lil front porch with two chairs. Not wheelchair-friendly access to the rooms in my prospect viewing, even if there's a few. Room: We stayed at a "condo-like" room with 2 Queen beds for one night, I think it was #207 or #209, something like that. Nice structures. Particles of the room is dated as there are several hidden things show wear and tear on couches, tables, lamps, floors, and curtains. An yes, as we walked in, the room feels a little grimey, and smell a little like urine as it range from the bathroom to the front door. These are all minor issues to were if cleanliness and maintenance could be improved, this would be a perfect stay. Otherwise, we got intact AC unit that blows excellent air circulation (It got too cold as I woke up the next morning lol, its all good), currenly replaced beds with clean sheets, blankets, duvet/comforters, and mattress look newer and it's quite nice (though a little hard for some people), a decent mini-fridge, and decent intact deadbolt and chain lock, and working porch lights for safety and security. Service: Great, efficient, and friendly service during the check in/check out experience. No issues with manager and staff at all. The desk person was nice of us to welcome to our check-in a little early than expected schedule as our room is already done to begin with. Location: Located in safe areas on IH-410 between the airport, and IH-35. Not a sight of hookers, and crackheads/drug dealers. That being said that this is the San Antonio Airport location, this hotel is located far off from other conjoining hotels in the SAIA area. Breakfast: Just an average continental breakfast you see at other hotels. Oh, you don't know how much I love "hotel" waffles; as good as it gets. Coffee is good, a little bitter, and could be a bit hotter. Overall, this is quite a decent stay facility, despite all of its amenities. Is that the rooms are a hit-or-miss, and has a lot of potential due to cleanliness and maintenance issues that could've been a lot better with the little more renovation to keep it up-to-date, while keeping it's charm. Especially, for the hotel with its class of $80-$100 value. I'm giving Travelodge San Antonio Airport a 3.5 stars (out of five). Even though, I had struggle between giving a 3 or 4 stars, I finally gave it a 4; service is awesome.

Nice rooms nice staff awesome pool overall wonderful place to stay my boys love the pool beautiful scenery nice playground

Yelp
Mindy LuvsCliff 1/5 a day ago on Google Unfortunately I used to live here. Where to begin, it's time to come clean which this motel is not : first off, they are always packed! ( with roaches and bed bugs), the GM Manisha steals ( wish I was smart enough and knew how to post a video) out of guests room. The housekeeper (Nemo or Nemish) stalks young girls and steals. Heck but what do you expect when the owner (Pratik) has his own room and brings prostitutes in and out for his pleasure. The nighttime guy is there, but is either always drunk, high or asleep. Maria, o lord don't get me started, DRUNKARD! I don't get it. I'm sure it's a great place to work. I do however want to give a shout out to Jen ( front desk). She's awesome! Sleep in your car!!!!!!!! U have been warned! Trip typeFamily Rooms1.0Service1.0Lo

Yelp
1st time staying here but we love it! It is not a too fancy hotel but it is cozy and kinda makes you feel like your in a river vacation community except your in the middle of San Antonio... The staff is friendly. The best part is that is is really family friendly. Lots of fun for kids and adults. I'm here for our spring break and it is active at 11pm. People are out bbqin and kids are at the . Definitely not somewhere you want to be for a quiet weekend night but it's full of families and kids having a great time. The rooms are great if you have young kids who make mess with food and drinks because there is no carpet. Everything is really relaxed here! Definitely my kind of environment! This is our new spot when we come to SA and that will be alot because we have season passes to six flags.

Yelp
I stayed here over 2 years ago and this place is fun. It's like old Texas which is a good unique twist. The hotel shuttle picked me up promptly and check-in was smooth. Check out with quick and they drove me to the rental car facility at the airport. For anyone traveling on a budget to San Antonio, I recommend this place.

Shawn L.

Yelp
Service was mediocre, also hey didn't provide us with a room that had a king bed. They knocked off some cash($20, which after adding tax a was more like $10), but not before blaming the issue of the bed on Expedia. Also the only room was drafty due to a bad door alignment and there looked to be some black mold at the bottom of the trim boards in the shower. Also, the floor made my daughters bare feet black and the trash had not been emptied of a feminine product. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, nor would I give it a single star.

Kelly E.

Yelp
Kinda disappointed about the fact that the hot tubs did not work. But overall the rooms are nice.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. Checked in payed about $500 for the whole week, and there was a dirty room the beds were not made at all, there was trash all over the floor. The manager Manisha was very rude when I asked if I could get a refund for checking out early. I didn't know the room number because they moved me twice because of the dirty rooms. She answered the phone in the rudest way and continues tells me, you don't know what room your in? When another blonde young lady helped me the previous day very polite, she pulled my information with my name. No need for the rudeness. Manisha you should get fired. Never coming again. Definitely would recommend spending your money else where for better and clean service!!

Yelp
For the price, this is an emotional get away. Plenty of trees, a pool, two whirlpools in different locations, clean, good wifi reception, a ton of channels on the DISH, free breakfast, plenty of parking, and dog friendly but only with the price if you are staying for a week or more. Not the Hilton, Marriott, double tree, or even La Quinta but you are paying for what you get. This is a great bargain.

Liz H.

Yelp
Stayed here because I was working down in San Antonio for a few days. The price was good, but honestly this place should be paying you to say here. Price: fine- it was 54/night plus taxes and fees. Location: eh, ok- a few restaurants around, but also many "gentlemans clubs" or strip clubs. Not far from the whole San Antonio scene. Its right off 410 East. Cleanliness: awful. The room smelled like old urine, the carpet was stained- and worse the carpet is red, so everything shows up. There was dog hair stuck on the carpet, the couch had dirt and dog hair under the cushions as well. The bed had a weird smell somewhat body odor in nature. I was truly worried about bed bugs and other bugs as well. The window had a large crack it it. I had a severe allergy attack the second night i stayed there. The towels were clean however. Appearance- the rooms are really very outdated- floral curtains, plaid couch- all from the early 1980's. The place could use a major update and serious cleaning. Rip out the carpets and put down something else. powerwash with some bleach water as well. The place has potential- the cabins could be done really cute and homey. TV: about 7 channels- nothing good, WIFI did not work well, hardly any reception. Couldn't check mail, etc. Front desk: nice enough, polite. If you just need a place to sleep and take off in the morning- this could work if you aren't worried about too much. It seemed safe enough, but just dirty, outdated, old and uncared for.

John B.

Yelp
The door had been kicked in. The floors were undulating and filthy. The walls were at one-time wood but have been primed but not painted. The couch was tattered. Wires were sticking out of fixtures and tv. Heater smelled and smoked when turned on. The cold water was rusty and no hot water in the shower. Mold in the bathroom. Terrible. Do not stay in room 101. Do not stay at this hotel. Stay elsewhere. I contacted the hotel and Wyndham. The hotel apologized made some lame excuses and offered me a discount on my next stay. Wyndham offered me points if I would join their club. If they think I would ever give them another chance after this experience, they are all suffering from a drug problem.

Mike G.

Yelp
The room was poorly cleaned dirt around tub and toilet neighbouring rooms seen the house permanent guest with cat food and stuff out on the porch boxes pretty rough

Sandra D.

Yelp
Had a great stay last night and would stay here again without hesitation. FYI- this is not the Omni Hotel! It's been here for many years... Small cottage-style rooms with front porch, knotty pine walls line the rooms with a comfortable bed, coffee maker... All the typical amenities. Free breakfast with pancakes, sausage... Nice seating area in front of a fireplace. My only issue.. The bathroom floor and carpet could stand to be replaced.... But at $60 a night with great customer service from Denise and great location its a super deal!!!! Absolutely will be back for a weekend getaway!!!!

Angela P.

Yelp
Loved it. We were in town for business with the kids. Perfect for families. It was like a little vacation.

Whitney W.

Yelp
The room cozy, decent location, and the staff was nice and helpful. The bathroom could have been cleaned a bit better there was a smell of urine on the floor that lingered the entire weekend. Overall good stay for the price.

Candi J.

Yelp
While we greatly appreciated the ambience of this hotel, we were not able to stay at the hotel. When we arrived, we discovered bed bugs in our room. After contacting the office, they offered to move us to another room. We again found bed bugs. The rooms were really cute and the outside was beautiful. We are hoping to stay at the hotel in the future, and appreciate the amazing staff that tried to help us. But, was disappointed that there was such a bed bug problem and no one had informed us upon check-in.

Angelica R.

Yelp
Just run away! Supposedly they had been renovated blah, blah, blah. We walked into the room and the first thing we noticed was all the missed matched, old and tattered furniture. The chain lock on the door was broken so my 3 year old kept running out, and when I reported it she asked if I could wait until the morning to have it fixed. The bathtub had a 6" crack in it that we had to be careful with in order not to cut our feet. The worst of it was when we laid down and noticed that they had used a comforter stained with specks of blood and Hot Cheetos on the underside of it. Their fix? They sent their security guard with an old, thin blanket to exchange it. HOUSEKEEPING SUCKS! The next morning they didn't bother to bring in a clean comforter or even ensure that there was toilet paper in the room. Their continental breakfast is a joke. I'd rather go purchase breakfast than eat there for free again. Then, we checked out Sunday morning, checked our bank account on our way out of town only to discover that they charged our account twice for the stay.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
I don't want to give this hotel any stars because it doesn't deserve any! The staff are horrible and extremely disrespectful! They cancelled my reservations while I was on my way there with my family. They did not even attempt to call me to tell me and when I got there they thought it was funny that I was upset and laughed at me. I drove 5 hours with my three children and another couple and was left with nowhere to stay. When I figured out they had cancelled my reservations they told me they still had 4 rooms left but were unwilling to accommodate me and in front of my face gave the last two rooms away to someone who drove up off the street without any reservations. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone if you want to have a relaxing vacation with no worries about the hotel you choose!

Janine B.

Yelp
I seriously don't know how there's so many good reviews! I give it One start only because they had a great pool. It seemed nice when we walked in until we saw 3 roaches in the kitchen. There were also 2 roaches on the bathroom floor and smelled of urine so bad I had to keep the door open while using the bathroom. Dead squashed roaches in the refrigerator and on the counter top In the kitchen yukkk!!! In all the places I have ever stayed I have never seen a roach but here dead and live gross. The blankets on one of the beds smelled like BO it seems to me that clearly they don't clean these places. The floors were so soft maybe in the kitchen and over by the beds, it felt like they were just gonna fall apart while walking. The beds were so hard and the pillows we're very small and uncomfortable. The towels were very rough also. When we asked for towels for the pool they gave us towels the size of dish towels. They had 2 hot tubs that were not open. Wasn'tmuch to choose from at breakfast. I will definitely not be returning here and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Michael M.

Yelp
Most bang for the buck I've ever gotten from any hotel/motel stay. We arrived about 3 hours earlier for check-in and our room wasn't ready yet so they upgraded us to a "condo" room for no extra charge. We had a 2 burner stove, full size fridge, 2 flat screen TVs, coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer, iron with ironing board. AC is very cold on those 98 plus degree San Antonio days. Covered front porch and clean, well-maintained swimming pool. All rooms and buildings are non-smoking but smoking is allowed outside anywhere, which seemed like a nice compromise to me and my wife, both of us being smokers. Free breakfast was the same everyday but with nice variety and the pancakes were actually pretty good. Onsite laundry. Nice location, close to everything but no hookers, druggies or other scummy types hanging around. Staff very helpful and polite. I HIGHLY recommend.

Janet W.

Yelp
I am a very picky person and I loved this hotel/motel! The rooms are spacious and immaculate and they feel more like little cabins than hotel rooms. There is pine tongue and groove in the walls thruout, even in the toilet rooms . Breakfast was pancakes and sausage, plus all the other normal stuff, and it was hot and plentiful. The pool is huge, with a great big 1 foot wading pool for babies! Each room has a nice covered front porch. The staff was very welcoming. Great location for anything in San Antonio! We will be back!
