Trawsfynydd Holiday Village

Quiet wood cabin site with maybe 80 units. The cabin we used, 356, was superb homely, warm, great beds, and good kitchen. We disliked the oversoft unsupportive settee, the hedging on the site is overgrown but it does give privacy. Overall a good stay, particularly if you like the outdoors.

Stayed here at weekend very quite and cosy log cabins. Site has very basic amenities the shop is minimal and there's a cafe where you can also purchase alcohol late evening again this is a very basic venue but there is plenty of pubs to explore in snowdonia. Play park on site. Amazing views of the nite skyline when it's clear! Would definitely come back maybe in the summer months.

Perfect for dog lovers! We stayed in one of the dog-friendly cabins at Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, and it was such a peaceful retreat. Plenty of green space around for walks, and lots of dog-friendly places to explore nearby. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. Bonus: a kids’ playground on site meant the little ones were never bored!

We stated on a private hire chalet. It was great, clean tidy & well equipped. Lovely clean site with a cafe and small shop. The shop is a little sparsely stocked so I would recommend bringing your own food. Wonderful views and centrally located.

Have been to this place 10 times now. This is a wonderful location, beautiful views, well maintained site. We love it here. I was considering buying a cabin here. Great for exploring the mountains of Snowdonia and the numerous activities the area has to offer. I highly recommend staying here. The ladies on reception are so lovely, and the little shop has basic emergency supplies. There are washing machines you can pay to use. Cabins are cosy. Great dog walking area. HOWEVER, I wouldn’t advise using the cafe/bar unless you enjoy a nice drink in the middle of a rowdy children’s playground. The kids were running amok round all the tables, shouting and screaming, making the decking bounce, climbing over the tables and furniture and behaving like unruly animals much to the detriment of anyone else that wanted a drink. I approached the staff who said “it’s their holiday too and they are having fun”. I have children of my own and totally agree that kids on holiday should be having fun. Everyone else was leaving. I couldn’t even hear the people on my table as we were trying to talk. There is a time and a place for this behaviour, and in my opinion the bar and cafe isn’t it. There is a nearby play park for kids that want to run around and want to shout and scream at each other. I won’t be buying a cabin here after this experience. Very disappointed in the bar staff and their attitude and I think it’s because they knew the unruly kids parents.

We had a great time here. Location is quiet and peaceful. Good places for couples and families. Good walk, park and views. There is a cafe and shop on site for essentials.

Truly beautiful and cosy log cabins. Very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Very welcoming staff who are very helpful especially about the lovely location and the history of the holiday Village 5stars all the way.

If you want a minimalistic, quiet holiday then this place is perfect. However, for a family holiday, there isn't a lot to do on site. The kids play area is minimal and that is all that's available. There is a little bar that serves food but it's nothing special. If the weather is miserable, you going to struggle to find something to do.
