Russell was extremely informative while hosting us during a wine tasting at Traynor Family Vineyard. The vibes were cool with a DJ playing funky tunes in the background. Awesome experience all round with a great view, especially during sunset. They also stay open later than most vineyards around. A MUST during your Prince Edward County visit.

Traynor Winery definitely brings something different to the Prince Edward County wine scene. Their focus on unique, experimental wines—like orange wines and natural blends—is refreshing and might really appeal to adventurous wine drinkers looking for something off the beaten path. That said, it just wasn’t quite the right fit for me and my group. While we appreciated the creativity behind the wines, most of the pours didn’t really hit the mark for our palates. It’s less about the quality and more about personal preference—these are bold, unconventional styles that aren’t for everyone. Overall, Traynor has a cool concept and a niche following, and it’s easy to see how others might really enjoy what they offer. For us, though, it just didn’t quite land.

Great spot for a unique tasting! Their wines are uniquely treated with a big focus on sustainable, artisanal, and natural methods. Our group was fortunate to speak with the winemaker and very knowledgeable team members. It was a lot of fun to try their pét-nat. Special mention to their wine labels, not something I would normally notice but they hit home runs with each label. It was the perfect spot to close out our day.

Drove out to do lunch here, we heard the food truck there is amazing. It was! Burger and fries, excellent! We'll try pizzas next time. The Wine Slushes, Great on a hot day, and addictive!! I did a flight, I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I like what I had. Bought a few on the way out. The concrete patio, it's nicely set up, for families, large groups, and is dog friendly and Poppy approved! Im a fan anyway, and Poppy isn't laying in gravel. Walk way off the parking lot, could be nicer, but patio is where you will be anyway. Check out the hammoc area, cool! Inside, excellent space to chill out in, on those not do nice days! But! No hesitations, you will like your visit here!

Visiting the county and made a stop at Traynor for a tasting. Fun, unique wines and great service! We ended up buying a bottle of Cabernet franc and a bottle of the Orange! Thanks for the fun experience!

We had a most unique and informative wine sampling session. We learned about the local geological formations and their influence on the agricultural benefits to grape growing. We learned about the history (back to the Roman Centurions) of wine-making and how it has lead to modern wine-making. All in all, way more interesting a session than hearing about the “notes” or flavours which most of us can’t discern any way. If you have an opportunity to hear Russel and his fantastic descriptions, listen and become better informed. Oh, and the wines are great too. Lots of variety and I really loved their experimental attitude to push their boundaries and try new things. Well done, Trainor!!!

Fun winery! Love the branding, unique wines and friendly service. The Petit Verdot Piquette was my fav on the tasting menu. Off-menu, the Baco rose was a standout - well balanced, flavourful and coming home with us.
