Treadwell Inn/ Chandler Room Wine Bar & Kitchen

We stayed at Treadwell Inn for a few nights and enjoyed it very much. The Inn is in a great location to stroll through town, the sunsets are spectacular from the rear decks, and the Inn is beautifully furnished and appointed. Dinner at Chandler Room was a delicious series of shared plates...cheeses, mussels and a fresh salad. All delicious. The team at Treadwell Inn is first rate, looking after guests thoughtfully and cheerfully. We highly recommend!!

Our group has visited the Chandler Room at the Treadwell Inn every fall for the past four years, and each time we have ordered everything on the menu as a small plates experience, and every year it has been fantastic. In particular the tuna tartare with beets is spectacular, but really everything is a memorable dish. Plus the service is speedy and attentive. Five stars is well deserved.

A lovely inn in the heart of St Andrew’s with a spectacular restaurant. Can’t say enough good things! Kristy was welcoming and helpful and all the staff made sure we had whatever we needed. Our room was perfect with a balcony overlooking the bay, great for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Dinner at the Chandler Room was one of the best meals we have had. Tapas style with an excellent wine selection. The oysters were fresh and tasty, scallop ceviche was tangy and the shrimp and chicken dishes were amazing. Could happily eat here for a month! Shout out to our server, Trevor!

We had the most amazing stay at Treadwell Inn!! We booked the weekend for our Anniversary and everything about it was amazing! Service was top notch, very accommodating and some of the nicest staff I’ve ever met. The view of the water from our room was so beautiful as well. We had dinner at the Chandler room and I’ve been craving the romaine & asparagus salad and Peruvian chicken since. We will be back 100%

We dined as a group of 6 at the Chandler Room on a recent early September visit to St. Andrews. We had a superb evening and dinner on the porch overlooking the water. Kathie was an excellent server and made sure that any of our dietary restrictions were well accommodated, making great suggestions along the way. Our reception was courteous and friendly while we waited for our table to be ready. We would not hesitate to recommend the Chandler as a must do dining option when in the area and we look forward to returning on our next visit to the area.

Hubby and I stayed for a perfect get away weekend at this beautiful Inn! We stayed last summer too and loved it so much we booked it again for this year. Stayed in room # 5 on the top floor. That view and balcony! I could sit all day and watch the tide come in and out. As others have mentioned in reviews the location is the best in St. Andrews right in the heart of the cute town. The owners of this inn clearly work hard to have everything perfect for guests. We also really enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant on site "The Chandler Room" we had friends join us. Food, drinks, ambiance, wait staff everything was top notch! I highly recommend both the inn and the restaurant! We'll be back for sure!

The rooms at this lovely waterside inn are excellent - well equipped, restful and beautifully decorated. |This family run inn is a real delight and the family were lovely. |Two young men from the kitchen cheerfully carried our bags to our room and the owner’s son helped take them out to the car. |Thus far on our trip to Canada we have been expected to manhandle our own bags so this was a very pleasant change. |The Inn is perfectly situated on the Main Street, the breakfast is generous and the dinner was sublime (see my separate review). |Highly recommended.

Amazing accommodations . The owner is fully engaged with her guests. Perfect location with beautiful views of the harbour. The food was incredible , both dinner and breakfast. Can’t wait to go back.

It has been a year since I have dined at this establishment, though I must say, from all the eateries in Saint Andrews, this is by far my favourite place to chow down. The patatas bravas are always excellent, same is to be said of the tuna tartar or ceviche, whichever they have on the menu. I don't think I have ever eaten a plate that I did not like. I have my favourites, as one does, but everything that I have tried truly amuses my bouche. Servers are always punctual. I have never felt I have waited long for any plate or drink. The wine selection is above satisfactory, and they shake up a mean cocktail for those who prefer luscious tastes of liquor. They have a good selection of beer, if memory serves me correctly, but wine is much better suited for the food they serve. The whole restaurant is very nice. It was once a house that was converted to its current form. If you are lucky enough to be seated at the outside table with the fireplace, you are definitely in the best seats in the house. The view on the patio is stunning, as you gaze into the Passamaqoddy Bay. It is not always possible to get a reservation there, as it is rightfully seen as the pearl of the oyster that is the Saint Andrews food scene.

This was highly recommended to me for dinner. What can I say, it has all the ingredients for a great dining experience (unless it's really hot weather - then they need to upgrade their AC.). Having said this, we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely view of the bay. The food was beautifully presented with a nice creative menu. Service was excellent (thanks Patrick), and the setting ambience was lovely. What more can you ask for? Call ahead and make reservations - it's a popular restaurant.

Just had a fantastic night at Chandler Room! I was celebrating my birthday with a solo dinner and couldn't have felt more welcomed from the time I went in. I sat at the bar, with some delicious Malbec wine, and had some great conversation with the bartender Lisa (who was super impressive to watch mix drinks!) The owner, also stopped by and made me feel so welcome. Like I was family at her kitchen table. I ordered the patatas bravas and could have orders 4 more plates, not because it wasn't enough, but because they were SO. DANG. GOOD! Lisa knew it was my birthday, slipped the kitchen staff the intel, because when the olive oil cake (another MUST try) came out, it was lit with a candle, and the restaurant sang me happy birthday. After living away from family for quite some time, and it has been many years since I've had that sung to me, or had a cake with a candle to blow out. I'd also like to mention Cindy, who was waiting on other tables, but made the effort to check in on me, and make sure that I was feeling comfortable and at home in their restaurant. Every staff member I encountered was full of smiles, and made me laugh, and turned any lonely feelings I had, completely around! This is a special place, owned and staffed by special people, that I cannot recommend enough.
