This was a lovely experience with a breakfast and "wine down" included. Our room was spacious, clean, lovely, and there was a combo washer/dryer in the bathroom, along with detailed instructions. There was a kitchenette with nice wine glasses, china and a refrigerator and microwave. Caution, our room had 3 steps down to the combo living room/desk/refrig, which could be scary in the dark or if you have mobility issues. (I assume all rooms are not like this.) The staff, especially Kit and Harry, were friendly and always ready to serve. The hotel was well located, too. Overall, 5 stars. I recommend it highly.

I find the reviews of this hotel to be perplexing, especially the over hyped ones on trip advisor. It’s a perfectly fine hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were pleasant, and the location is convenient. Is it a good hotel? Yes. Is it a great hotel? No. Is it the best hotel in Melbourne? I doubt it even cracks the top 20. It’s more like a corporate Airbnb with hotel features. But it’s not a true luxury hotel. It lacks such features as a pool and room service. It’s not best value. I was able to book a spacious room at the Park Hyatt - a true luxury hotel - for less than I paid here. My sense is that there has been quite a lot of manipulation done to jack the rating. Or simply a case of ignorance multiplied. Again, I liked it, But I sense I was the victim or a minor scam.

This is a magical place that exceeds customer expectations! It feels like a home away from home, as if you are staying with loved ones. The hotel takes such exceptional care of its guests. I have no words to fully express how satisfied my family and I were with our stay. The hotel truly deserves international recognition for its attention to detail and outstanding customer service. The team consistently goes above and beyond. I am incredibly grateful to the owner and staff for making our experience so special . I hope the owner is presented with an incredible opportunity to expand and establish a chain of hotels internationally. This would allow the world to experience and enjoy the exceptional , unique hospitality that sets this establishment apart.

Really good stay at Treasury on Collins. Spacious clean Heritage Balcony room in a great location. Wide choice of breakfast items each morning and 'Wine Down' each afternoon. Friendly and helpful staff (thanks particularly to Rebecca). Would highly recommend. A great start to our month in Australia!

We’ve stayed at Treasury on Collins many times in the last few years - solo trips and family trips - and we have always been so impressed with the service, attention and detail, and the facilities, breakfast offerings and of course wine down time!||Mostly staying in the 2 bedroom apartments this is a great option for families, with most apartments (that we’ve stayed in) having 2 bathrooms (always handy when you have teens travelling with you!), a comfortable lounge area, ample dining and great kitchen facilities. ||The beds are so comfy and the amenities provided are fantastic! I’m a bit obsessed with the Molton Brown products now. ||Buffet breakfast is included in the room price and it doesn’t disappoint. Pancakes, muffins, yogurt, cereal, hot breakfast etc etc. a great selection! Access to the snacks during the day is an added bonus and the lounge area on the mezzanine is a great spot for an afternoon coffee/tea/wine while reading a book and playing a game or two of pool. ||The gym is small but sufficient. Late checkout is so handy. ||The staff are always so accommodating and helpful, and so friendly. ||The location is also fantastic, in a central location and very close access to public transport. Lots of great eats nearby (try Le Petit Gateau around the corner on Little Bourke. It won’t disappoint!). ||Always the best of stays! Can’t wait for the next annual family trip down :)

It is always fun to stay here. The room with kitchenette and washing machine in the bathroom was great with plenty of room. The bath/shower could do with an update. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the wine down in the late afternoons and catching up with the every-friendly Haries again. It can be a bit loud on the mezzanine floor in the late afternoons due to the busy restaurant and bar below (a different business). The location is centrally located and the breakfast is good. Many thanks!

Google
Fabulous apart hotel with well appointed rooms (with washer dryer, dishwasher, well supplied pantry and snack bar).. Very well located in the heart of CBD (convenient supermarket next door) and very close to the riverside as well as the shopping and not far from the MCG either (it's a long walk but doable).. And we got a suite with a balcony which was our retreat space to enjoy the sunshine. Nice wholesome breakfast as well

Perfect stay. They reached out beforehand to check in with me. Arrived early and they allowed an early check in with a free upgrade. Room was spotless and well equipped. Kitchenette with all the equipment you'd need, small washing machine, free Netflix and impressive little touches like a free bottle of wine if you solve their Rubik's cube and a free packet of popcorn on request. Lounge is well equipped and breakfast was good (eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, some pastries and yoghurts, a waffle maker, juices, coffee and teas, etc.). Staff were always friendly. An excellent stay overall!

Yelp
Me as a Traveler: Single, well travelled, stay at least 2 hotels a month on average, well paid employee, must stay at a high rated Expedia hotel as they are valid reviews (TripAdvisor I think is filled with inflated reviews & of course this hotel is ranked "#1" for Melbourne on that sham site), must stay at a highly recommended, centrally located, 4 star hotel and up that isn't going to break the bank but will also pay more if its good bang for buck. Hotel: stairs to the main entrance (terrible if you have bags... NO bellhop or hotel staff to greet you when you walk in). Must walk thru a restaurant with your bags unless you are smart enough to guess there is a side entrance where your taxi can drop you off and even then (no bellhop or trolly) if you are traveling with family or with more than one luggage this is super tiresome...this hotel is centrally located, but there are many others that are also centrally located that are just as good as this one (I moved to a different hotel after one night at this one). Very outdated rooms in a very old building. Hotel rooms have no views (my room faced another building's wall). I booked directly with the hotel to get the "happy hour" perk but I don't think it's worth it if the trade off is staying at this hotel. My room: queens suite... the picture of the room exploited on the site and other sites are deceiving, they make it look like the living room and kitchenette is divided by a wall. Not true. In fact it's divided by a Big TV on an early 90s tv stand (ikea has better furniture than this place) and on the photos the bathroom is focused on the shower bc they don't want to show you that there's a big washer machine below the sink and your bathroom is pretty much a laundry room. The size of room is like a small cabin on a cruise ship and it's def decorated like an early 90s cruise ship cabin. Have you ever stayed at a travelodge where they put the "this seat has been sanitized" paper around the toilet lid? Well, this one def came with that. Only perk is: Molton brown products. Other perk: the service and staff was good Major con: Feng Shui super off, didn't know what kind of hotel this was (family, couple?) just didn't fit any brand... Also... is this place haunted? I swear as I was coming Down the elevator I heard a woman's scream but it sounded more paranormal. Maybe the place is super freaky and the hallways have The Shining feel that it just got to my head? Anyway glad I got the hell out of there. Real Pictures of the place attached.

Yelp
I think it would be worthwhile noting that this hotel really is supposed to be like an apartment experience living in Melbourne than a luxury boutique that you thought you were getting when you originally booked the room. If you check in after midnight you have to check yourself in and the instructions are okay at best because the hotel navigation itself is confusing (maybe no fault of the staff). You face out into an alley way or the next business building with lights in the hallways that directly go into your window and its too late to ask for a different room because its past midnight. These are things you'd never get at a hotel or even a real boutique hotel, so sort of a negative experience on that. On top of that, the rooms were very poorly setup, strangely oriented, and the bed was so soft I had a backache because there was no support whatsoever. There was insufficient lighting at night in the room, and the bathroom definitely needed some upgrades. there were leftover (I won't say where) hairs on the counter and floors. The shower was okay, but it feels like no one actually lived in these apartments before they decided this was the design they picked, because water easily gets everywhere, and things are in awkward places for anyone over 5'4" (I imagine, I'm a bit taller than that, but honestly just very cramped). The only thing that was good about this place was location. There was no real lobby, no real place you can hang out, I think there's some kind of half weird second floor thing and if you book this hotel on any other site but their own, you don't get breakfast and a host of features you didn't even know about that they try to upsell you to after. Basically the only thing that was nice was we asked for an umbrella, and we got one, and it was some what broken actually but it sufficed us for the duration of the trip. I think if you're looking for a luxury experience you're better off at a hotel, as the Hyatt and several other places nearby are just as well located if not better, and definitely open 24/7 instead of having 'after hours' codes and check ins. They weren't priced much more or less than Treasury on Collins so save yourself the hassle!

Yelp
Wonderful staff, apartments are comfortable and exceptionally clean. We stayed here for 5 nights in August 2022, Also have stayed here pre-Covid. My minor complaint is that the breakfast on the mezzanine has limited variety, more fresh fruit would be nice.

Yelp
Great location! Very central and close to everything. Walking distance to Yarra river. Inside the free CBD tram! Huge rooms. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast that's included in your stay. Lots of options and has snacks later in the day. We would stay here again and liked it over our other hotel.

Yelp
Outstanding! Book direct from hotel's website. Highly recommended especially in terms of cleanliness, service at front desk, location, and breakfast buffet. Gorgeous rooms, large and comfortable. Beautiful cotton linens. First trip to Melbourne and we are so happy we stayed with this accommodation.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were clean, very spacious and well appointed. The in-room washing machine came in very handy mid-trip. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet, delicious and very reasonably priced. I'll definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The Treasury on Collins was a lucky find! We stayed here for 5 nights on our month-long trip to Australia. These are serviced apartments with maid service every three days. We had a spacious queen suite with a comfy bed, kitchenette, sitting area and best of all, a washer/dryer. The hotel is conveniently located in the CBD within walking distance of good cafes, major attractions and the tram (free within the CBD). If you book directly there a free nightly wine tasting.
