treck Hostel

Came through this wonderful hostel while bike packing from Germany to London. The price for a dorm bed is a reasonable 25€ and an additional 5€ for their breakfast buffet,which I highly recommend. The Hostel has everything you could need: Showers, Kitchen, a big eating area, chill & relax sofa area, Kicker table, outside sitting area, a bar with local craft beers and the list just goes on. What makes this place special is the unique atmosphere. Otto spay paints the walls with magical beings, inside someone is painting the indoor caravans, hustle and bustle in the shared kitchen and all the while you are sitting outside, talking about adventures with your new friends. Cheers to Rhoda from Northern Ireland and Maxim from Lille!! On the day I was leaving, they even organized a drawing contest. What an awesome thing to do!

They are communitive and good hearted people, got a refund from them when I explained why I had to cancel my reservation, even though they were not obliged to do so. Therefore I cannot comment on the facilities only the customer service. I had to double check on them though, but I got my money back eventually

Treck Hostel is a wonderful and beautiful place to stay at in Gent! The setting and concept of the camping site and caravan’s was really fun, it made me think of a theme park! My girlfriend and I stayed in the Mini Caravan for 3 nights. The beds were comfortable and we had cupboards to store our belongings in. However, it would get quite warm in the Mini Caravan at night so we opted to sleep with the door open for more air which solved the problem. Also, the top of the cupboard was really sticky for some reason, even my glasses and hair elastics would stick to it. Besides that, our stay was lovely and the staff helpful and welcoming. The hostel is 20 minutes away (walking) from the city centre which we found perfect!

Great place, the dorms and shower are clean. The place is really nice, loved the decoration! The breakfast is simple but good to start the day.

Came here on a short notice and after reception hours due to Dutch train strikes. We could still check in just fine and received a tour of the location despite it being like 00:00, absolutely fantastic service if you ask me. The place is unlike anything I've really ever seen before and I totally love the concept. Me and my friend booked 2 beds in a 12-bed room, but were given a small little private room with a 3-persons bunk bed. Fantastic upgrade. The place is clean, has immaculate vibes and I loved it, even though we spent less than 10 hours there. When I come to Gent again I will definitely go here to stay!

What an interesting idea and absolutely awesome hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff, clean washrooms and accommodation. Superb decor, each camper is designed for a different theme. I really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely recommend!

The best spot ever! The vibes are here, the food is good and staff is amazing. Would recommend anyone to visit. If you’re from Ghent or a Tourist!

this hostel has some upsides bit its really not the best. Some of the staff are practically spoiled brats without etiquette; dont stay here unless youre really desperate.

Cosy terrace. Cool hostel: you get to sleep in revamped caravans which have been decorated by different artists.
