"The Tree House Restaurant in Aguas Calientes Aguas Calientes is packed with restaurants catering to tourists: the offerings are usually very similar, and the prices are often too high for the quality of the food. The Tree House, however, is worth a visit. This restaurant is known for using traditional and organic ingredients to fuse local flavors with an Asian and Italian influence. Imagine grilled alpaca served with a traditional Andean potato and regional cheese pie and organic salad, or a quinoa risotto topped with lamb meat in a reduction of Andean corn beer and cilantro. For around 40 PEN, you can buy a lunch box to take with you up to Machu Picchu."
"The Tree House Restaurant You have to climb a few steps to reach this romantic restaurant, but it’s worth the effort, even after Machu Picchu. Beautifully presented dishes range from beef tenderloin to grilled trout with golden aguaymanto berries. The Tree House is one of Aguas Calientes’s best places to try alpaca steak, yet vegetarians find tempting options, too, like ravioli with goat cheese and mushrooms. The tight dining room, nestled in the boughs, is romantic and dreamy. Be sure to make reservations."
We ate dinner here after our early morning tour at Machu Picchu. This restaurant is off of the main square and up some stairs. It was a calm reprieve from a busy day. We ordered the pork main dish (panceta ahumada), it was delicious. For dessert, we had the corn cake tres leches, so tasty! Thank you Mateo and Paul for an exceptional meal and service. What a hidden gem of Aguas Calientes!

Excellent restaurant, We had trout and pulled pork. Just off the Main Street, so a nice find and much better than the tourist places in the center.
Awsome service and atmosphere.
Served by Mateo who was a great host.

The best trout I had in Peru 😍 The desserts were also delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Cozy place, away from the Agua Calientes noise.
I’d love to come back here again! Amazing place, highly recommended 🥰

Excellent !It’s worth climbing the stairs and it was one of the few restaurant in Perú not asking us to give a rating on booking, Tripadvisor and others.

Great restaurant and food. A short walk up a hill from the crowded part of town. Worth the quick walk for a quiet space and great meal.

We were staying at the attached hotel and were too tired to go into town for food so we went to this restaurant. This was the best thing that could have happened because the food was incredible!!! My partner and I both had the double smoked bacon which came with coleslaw and rice. It was truly amazing. Perfect post salkantay trek food.
