Tree House School

Our daughter is currently enrolled here and we absolutely love it. Every day, I can see how my daughter is growing, learning, forming friendships. What we love most is the focus on learning outside. Fantastic!

This is my daughter's third year at Tree House. We started her right when she turned two. It's really been the most wonderful experience; Julianne and her teachers take a very wholistic approach to educating. School was very play-based, and I watched my daughter grow an incredible amount these last three years. (Not to mention, the school has amazing hours and flexible schedules that include half days and part time!)

This is a great preschool. Marynelle & Julianne are the sweetest. Love the huge tree in back yard. Kids will love it!

Our family loves The Tree House School! The biggest reason being that our 3 year old son wakes up every school day screaming "It's school day!" over and over with so much excitement. We toured a dozen pre-schools ( I know it probably sounds a bit overboard), and the The Tree House School was head and shoulders above the rest. We love their laid back approach, and their willingness to listen to parents concerns. They have a great curriculum where each week there is a new fun and interesting theme. Our son comes home super excited and tells us all about his day. The teachers are all easy to talk to and very kind. They have an age appropriate approach where they allow the kids to learn and explore activities and friendships through play. Also, our son loves playing outside, and The Tree House School has the biggest play yard of any school we toured in the area. They have a giant sand box, swings, a garden, a large tree house, a wooden home, tons of tractors, oversized dinosaurs and giant wooden blocks. When I visit it makes we wish I attended this school when I was a kid. I am super happy we found this amazing school!

We feel like we hit the jackpot with Treehouse and the teachers there. My son just graduated from the program and my daughter is now thriving there. The teachers and staff have been incredibly supportive, nurturing and encouraging. They meet each individual child where they are and assist in the goals each child is working towards. Their outdoor space is amazing, the community is wonderful and both my kids have loved their experience there. Julianne, the director, has always made every accommodation and assisted us with my daughter's sensory processing difficulties. They infuse their programs with special activities, parties, music instructors and really just pour love into our kiddos. It's a special place that we will be sad to leave when my kids both age out.

So far, we are loving this school! My LO has been attending for the last 3 months and we are very happy with our switch (my LO was attending another preschool before March 2020 and left once the pandemic hit. We just decide to re-enroll in a preschool in September). Julianne is just a loving, caring person which makes for a wonderful preschool director. The teachers are great and my LO is so attached to his/her class teacher - this is a drastic difference from the reluctant, crying toddler I had to force into the car for preschool every day when we used to attend our previous school. The outdoor play area is awesome for kids and feels like a luxury compared to a lot of the other preschools we have toured on the westside. I do think the Montessori preschool my LO used to attend might have been more skills-focused and academic, but that was also pre-covid before the preschools had to re-arrange into mixed age pods with siblings in the same pod (per cdc guidelines), so I only have a post-covid preschool curriculum to compare - and I much prefer the loving, nurturing environment my LO now seems to be thriving in at Tree House. Whenever we ask our LO whether he/she wants to go to "old school" or "new school" he/she very vehemently insists on "new school" - enough said!

We loved our time at The Tree House School! Our son still misses climbing the tree house in the huge play area. He learned so much there and was so loved!

My son is in his second year at tree house and he loves it. The teachers and staff are all so great and create a very loving and nurturing environment. He learns so much and is always happy to be there. The school is also a wonderful find in the city for the fact the it has a huge outdoor space for the children to play and do some hands on learning outside. Highly recommend tree house!

We absolutely love The Tree House School! Our son started at 2.5 and will graduate to a few months. We couldn't ask for a more nurturing and caring environment for him the past 3 years. He's learned so much and is well prepared for kindergarten. We'll miss the school so much but will always look back fondly on our years there.

This is a space where I would want to spend my days so I knew right away it would be perfect for my son. From the amazingly warm and kind teachers to the enriching play areas, this school has everything to help your little one transition into big kid school. It has been such an incredible experience getting to know the staff as they get to know my son. He is so lucky to have such caring and nurturing teachers. They are fun-loving but also run a very professional operation. There are daily updates when you drop off and pick up, particularly around napping and potty usage. Bottom line is these kids are happy, stimulated and growing. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect team to help me push my little one out into the world.

My son, age two, is loving school at The Tree House School! He is so happy to walk in and start playing with his teachers and friends. The school is extremely well run and I'm so impressed with the curriculum. It's also a beautiful school and the teachers are kind, patient and professional. The Director is hands-on and always available. My son has a speech delay and everyone has been so understanding- being patient with him and taking the time to speak with him slowly and consistently. I would highly recommend this school!

We love this pre-school. Caring, loving, compassionate staff. Wonderful outdoor space and plenty of outdoor time.

The Tree House School was our son's first introduction to school at 2.5 years old and he absolutely loved it. We sadly had to say goodbye when we moved and haven't found a preschool that matches its dedication to enriched learning, or one that's built on such a nurturing environment. Both the inside and outside structures are magical. The outside area alone is incredibly unique, it makes me want to be a kid again! The teachers always showed up with energy and commitment to creating a wonderful experience for the children day after day. We really miss them. We had Xóchitl and Nahomey who really took the time to get to know our son, and engaged with who he was as a person. They always let us know how his day was without even asking, and genuinely cared about his experience there. I wish we could pick up the school and move it to where we live now. Highly recommend choosing this school for your children.

My experience with the school is from a few years back, so hopefully things have changed. I was surprised at what we saw. The staff did not seem to want to interact with the kids. I came away with the impression that this school is too big and was difficult for the director to manage. On the positive side, the playground area is nice. My advice to you is that you insist on seeing the school in session before signing-up. Don't be seduced by the nice play area.

Our daughter attended The Tree House practically from the moment it opened. I knew when we toured with Marynell that it was going to be a quality school. We had visited several other preschools and were completely overwhelmed by the process. It wasn't until school started that we knew we had made the right choice. The almost three years that Gemma spent there were the most fun, enriching and beneficial years of her young life to date. Now that our daughter is almost finished with her first year of Kindergarten, I'm able to look back on her preschool experience with complete gratitude. Our daughter learned how to relate to other kids in a big busy environment and was taught the academic basics that have served her well. The teachers at The Tree House were talented and devoted. We felt like a big family. I spent a LOT of time there and was always welcome to hang out, help out and just plain old play whenever I wanted to. I adored the Director Marynell and her powerhouse right hand woman Michael. I wish our daughter could have stayed and played there forever! She was happy, safe and inspired everyday. They had two music teachers, a yoga instructor, a soccer teacher, pony rides, snow day, field trips every month, and an animal show with a wallaby hopping around! That is just to mention a few of the things that made it special. They also had a great garden, face painting several times a week, an outdoor specific nature instructor, camp out day with tents all over the place and celebrations for every holiday known to man. Graduation was a lovely, heartbreaking ceremony never to be forgotten. I can't recomend The Tree House School highly enough.

If you're looking for a classic, fun loving, kind and warm type of preschool for your child(ren) then Treehouse is it. Both my boys attend this school. Ages two and four. The oldest started at two and he loved from the start. Yes, of course there were a few tears initially - likely more from me but the teachers are caring, warm, patient and just overall terrific. The school is clean both inside and out. And speaking of out... their outdoor space is awesome. It's huge and has an actual pepper tree which they've turned into a treehouse/play area. There are multiple stations for the kids to explore. Sensory, hand/eye, etc... All the good stuff you would want a kid to experience. The classes play with one another and also have their structures time to play with their classmates as well. So they get exposure to socialization with different age groups. I honestly only have great things to say about Treehouse. I hope you like it as much as my family!
