I have been fortunate to have stayed many times at both The Woods Hole Inn and The Tree House Lodge. Normally they are both very good, however a few things always seem to miss the mark. I’ve been to the THL twice this year. |I would like to suggest that the manager stay in each room (as time allows) . I think that the details would soon be sorted! It’s what I would do if I was lucky enough to own The Woods Hole Inn and Treehouse Lodge. Why not make them the best they can be?! ||Tree House Lodge Pros-||A wonderful front desk staff: Ursula absolutely made our stay great, despite a few hiccups. ||Ample Parking||Rides to the beach||Beach Towels (To Borrow ) ||Super clean , updated rooms that are decorated in a fun and creative way. ||We were allowed to leave our car for a few hours after checkout time to get to the beach one more day.||Great WiFi ||Lotta of hooks in bathroom for towels and wet bathing suits||Cons:||An unbearably uncomfortable mattress (room 9) I had to decamp to the day bed to try and get any amount of sleep.||Very dirty front windows||Disappointing and awkward shower head||The small jute rug was worse for wear. ||Rubber molding in bathroom had come loose. ||Room smelled musty ||No recycling bin ||I also wish hotels would put nightlights in the bathrooms ||Both of these hotels could easily take things to the next leveif they focused on some important details. 😊

Very much enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, we appreciated the free bikes and beach towels to borrow, and the outdoor area with the fire pit was a great spot to unwind and even get some work done. Easy walking to cafes and restaurants as well as the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.

I don’t even know where to begin… Amanda, and the entire family down at Treehouse are just some of the most amazing, kind, and friendly people you’ll ever meet. They bend over backwards in order to make sure that your needs are met! I’m a disabled (wheelchair user) celebrity nail artist— and no, they didn’t know that upon check-in. I made sure that they didn’t because I wanted fair and equal treatment and wanted to do an experiment to see how that would go. BOY was I pleasantly surprised! Not that they were nice, no (even though I’ve had some not so good, and even borderline racist experiences elsewhere near and on the island) I wasn’t surprised by that at all but just the level of care and lengths they went through, to make sure that my stay was the ultimate. I didn’t even realize that I was missing two waters from my room upon check in, and I didn’t even have to ask because when I returned to my room? They were right there where the coffee maker was. I didn’t mind anyone going into my room while I was gone; after all, I didn’t have the “Do Not Disturb” sign up. So it’s completely fine. They made sure my ADA accessible room was as comfy as could be! And WOW is it SPACIOUS!!! The bathroom alone is almost the size of the room, I LOVED that! They also have a shower bench to use and the shower itself is also very huge, very much so. They have a car service to and from the ferry that IS ABLE TO FIT A MANUAL WHEELCHAIR inside. So there was no problems at all accommodating me when it came to back and forth travel. I was also stranded on the way back to the lodge, and Amanda sent someone out to come and pick me up at night. I’ve never had such welcoming and accommodating service anywhere I’ve stayed, ever before in my life. And I’ve stayed at a LOT of hotels and other places similar. On and off the island. I feel bad for such a late review (a month later— I stayed during the MVAAFF in August!) but I was busy with Broadway actresses, and prepping for the Emmy’s. Still, I didn’t want this review to not happen, they’re too deserving and I can’t wait to stay again, truly I can’t. Honestly? I’m unsure if I’ll ever stay anywhere else ever again when I visit the Vineyard. Hands down the best service, the best people, and the most spacious and beautifully desecrated, COMFORTABLE room I’ve ever stayed in as well. I didn’t get a chance to try being around the bonfire as I was only there for a work trip and needed sleep, but next time for sure I will check it out. Upon leaving? I couldn’t help but to surprise them all with Dunkin’ to show my appreciation for everything that they’ve done during my brief stay with them. That should be more common, if someone can afford it. They work around the clock and it’s easy to forget to nourish yourself. I could tell how thankful they were even before the handoff. And, one of the drivers? It was their last day with them that day! I didn’t even know, and he was able to pick out his favorite donut from the bunch. That honestly was the sweetest ending to an incredible stay. Until next time, Treehouse Lodge!

This is a fabulous hidden gem. Rooms are remodeled. Staff super friendly. They have bikes to loan free for guests. They even have a Berkey water filter in the lobby for guests. Location is walking distance to the ferry and town center woods hole.

We liked the room, the furniture, the little touches (lamps, curtains, the color of the walls...) that made it feel cozy and comfortable. We had a fridge and a Keurig coffee machine with coffee, which was very helpful in the morning :-) We appreciated the wood fire in the court in the evening. The town centre with its cafes and restaurants is a 5 minutes walk. We were very happy here. Thanks!

I kind of hate to leave a bad review because my room was very clean, the location was convenient to the bike trail and to walk into Woods Hole, and the staff were super nice, but unfortunately the polyester sheets were a real bummer. Honestly, I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have crisp, clean, breathable cotton sheets, so I was quite surprised to discover these were polyester (I checked the tag just to confirm). I spent two sleepless, sweaty, uncomfortable nights in these sheets, not great when you are on vacation. So bottom line, if you don't mind polyester sheets, this is a great place. The rooms are small but clean. But if you are like me and can't stand the feel or the lack of breathability in polyester sheets, I would steer clear.

We stayed in room 26 for two nights and on the first night and the following morning there was no hot water. The room backed on to what could best be described as a quarry, with trucks and machinery beginning work at a time you’d expect, but it would have been good to have known this in advance! The hot water issue was remedied with apologies but, as I write, no reduction in price for our inconvenience. The website, very much oversold the place - even describing the breakfast experience, which is no longer offered, other than free coffee in the lobby. |The strongest point of the place is its location, only a few minutes walk from the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, which is why we chose it in the first place. So, as the saying goes ‘you pays your money and you takes your choice’ - and had we known, maybe we’d have chosen somewhere else.

Yelp
If you'll be traveling around Woods Hole and will also have a car, the Treehouse Lodge is the place to book. 1) Just a 10 minute walk to town, where you can catch the Steamship, Peter Pan bus, delicious food, fantastic views of the water, souvenir shopping, activities, and even lectures at WHOI. 2) We reserved the regular Canopy Room and it was perfect for 2 adults. The room was very clean. The sheets were super soft! The side tables are little tree ledges. which is very cute. The air conditioner is strong so it's perfect after a long day under the sun. The parking is free with a tag, which is a really nice complement to your stay. The ice machine was also very clean, which is a plus when you want to keep food cold at the beach. 3) All the staff we encountered were also very friendly. The staff is very accommodating and you can communicate with them via text. We enjoyed the fire pit or at least the sitting area almost every night. Probably the one thing that may be hard for light sleepers is you can occasionally hear doors close and some other noises from the street, so bring earplugs. But it is mostly quiet and different rooms may have different sound experiences. 4) Treehouse also has discounts to attractions and accommodations like bikes, beach towels, etc. The whale watching discount was great to have. Highly recommend this quaint lodge.

Yelp
Super cute hotel within walking distance to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. We stayed one night while exploring MV for a day. Staff was super friendly and set up the fire pit for us to light when we got back from the ferry!! Clean rooms and comfy beds! Overall great experience

Yelp
Stayed in the Pavilion with two of my friends. Room was very spacious and large enough to accommodate a family. It was very clean and earthy, but what I really liked most about my stay was the staff. Everyone at the front desk I interacted with was so friendly, particularly Amanda and Lashonda (sp). I received check in texts from the front desk welcoming me and asking for any requests, and I even received complimentary rides to and from Woods Hole ferry which I wasn't expecting. This location is in walking or biking distance to the ferry port, and very convenient with parking. I would highly recommend and stay here again !

Yelp
We stayed at the Treehouse Lodge one weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The pet friendly rooms are completely worth the additional fees! The room felt and looked very clean (which I worry about with pet friendly hotels). Definitely would recommend.

Yelp
Our family stayed in a pavilion room on the Friday night after Labor Day Weekend. While they normally require a 2 night minimum we were granted a one night stay. Room was very comfortable for us. Granted it was my wife & 9 year old along with me & my 78 year old mother there was plenty of room for us to sleep. I took the pull-out while my mother was on the cot. As you can tell from the pictures online the place is oozing with charm. The bathroom is probably the best I've experienced in travel. Awesome shower with great pressure & roomy. Plus there's a closet/changing space too. Great complimentary toiletries too! Other than the room being a little pricey the musty smell is the only thing keeping me from granting Treehouse Lodge 5 stars. It's a short drive to Woods Hole & Falmouth but not walkable IMO. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. I'm still not sure why our room didn't have a TV but we were offered tablets with Netflix if we wanted. We missed out on the s'mores & fire pit because of the rain but that just leaves us one more reason to come back!

Yelp
We had such an incredible stay at Treehouse Lodge! Amanda and Kim in the office were both warm and wonderfully accommodating. The rooms were beyond charming and well equipped. We absolutely loved the luxe bedding and slept so peacefully. It's a nice touch that they light a campfire each night and have free s'mores to enjoy :) it's about a 5 minute easy walk right into the heart of Woods Hole, the Martha's Vineyard Ferry and their sister establishments Woods Hole Tavern, Jimmy's Classic Eats, and Quick Hole Tacos. We even scored with a free donut card for Jimmy's and OMG - just saying it had bacon in it and was epic! The town is adorable and very mellow. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We stayed here in August because we purchased a TravelZoo voucher that seemed to be a decent deal, considering how expensive the Cape can be during summer months. It's a cute place in that it used to be a motel and then it was redone to look more modern, hip, and trendy. However it's still pretty apparent that it was indeed a motel, and while the rooms have been redone, it still has that motel-type feel to it. The room was small, did not have a TV or anything else to do, the bathroom was tiny, and we had a bunch of tiny ants in the bathroom as well. Overall, I felt that it was fine for a quick stay but still overpriced for what it was (or wasn't). That said, everything is pricey in the area, so I guess it's to be expected. The woman we interacted with during our stay was pleasant and gave nice recommendations so that was a plus. The location was also pretty good, close to shops and restaurants. We just didn't particularly enjoy the room itself and wouldn't stay again for that reason.

Yelp
The Treehouse Lodge was the perfect place to stay in Woods Hole! Everything was super comfortable and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and nice. The hotel is just a short walk (only a few minutes) from downtown, where you can hop on the bike path or get a popover at Pie in the Sky or a lobster taco at Quicks Hole Taqueria -- both highly recommended. It's also only a short walk from beautiful Nobska beach, which has great ocean swimming and an iconic lighthouse. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Cute, quaint cozy lodge. Greeted by friendly helpful staff to start our day. Very convenient to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Room was clean and decor was pleasant.

Yelp
Made a reservation the next morning I had to cancel so I called right away and she was very nice said she would refund my card well she did but didn't tell me about a 25 dollar cancellation fee. Not very happy when I called back she could have cared less. I guess there are plenty of places to stay at the cape other than there
