5 Miami Airbnbs for a Chic Beach Getaway in 2023 - AFAR

"Located on a working permaculture farm in Little Haiti, this tree house canopy, built into a large pithecellobium tree, is equipped with a double bed; there’s a separate bathroom, set at the ground level, just a few steps away. You can watch goats, roosters, and emus roaming about the property, or take part in volleyball games with the farm’s volunteers on weekends." - Evan S. Benn

I chose not to stay at this property upon my arrival due to a strong mold presence that made the room unlivable. I was given the wrong room. Parking was super tight, and the appliances were old and neglected. The manager seemed scammy—avoided direct questions and kept missing scheduled calls, clearly trying to stall. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

It’s an extremely noisy and run down place. Don’t be fooled by all the nice interior photos, as they are not showing broken windows, broken aircons, and crazy noise from the street (also dirty walls, fungus, and other issues). Facility is not appropriate for living. The property is facing busy street with high traffic, including night hours. Holes in the windows make it feel like you sleep on the street. Ear plugs and noice cancellation headphones didn’t help to cover the noise. Was not able to sleep at all and next morning moved to another hotel.

This is a small quaint hotel. No frills, no elevator, no keys(all code access) and you can not call the hotel, only a answering service. The bed was comfortable though much too low and soft for my taste. The shower got burn-your-skin-off hot is you were not careful. That said it could be worse as there was good water pressure for the waterfall shower head. Big plus. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, quiet place to stay and don’t mind what you see in the pictures then it’s worth it. The parking lot is soooo small but during the week there is almost no one there.

Great value for the money. Good location. Walkable. Short drive to the beach. Shane is outstanding...very helpful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely friendly. 🙏

This place is full of mold and mildew that got me extremely sick. Beware. Even though they tried to accommodate me and put me in another room, which was a little better you could still smell the mold. It took me days to recover from the sickness inhaling the mold and mildew caused...

I booked a stay at the Treehouse Hotel in Miami through Booking.com for April 2025 but ultimately chose not to stay due to the condition of the property. Upon arrival, I noticed that the common areas, corridors, and stairs were visibly dirty, suggesting that cleaning standards were quite poor. The room itself was outdated and unclean, with black hair found on the beds, which was particularly off-putting. Unfortunately, the management was unwilling to offer a refund, which added to the disappointment. While Booking.com facilitated the booking process smoothly, I was very dissatisfied with the state of the hotel itself.

I stayed here last week and everyone was really kind and the room was decorated very nicely. They were quick to respond and sent someone immediately to fix our sink clog.

Fantastic location and great experience overall, especially for the price. Check in was simple. Rooms were fairly clean even though there was a musty smell, although that seems to be par-for-the-course in Miami. I had to ask management for more towels and an iron which were delivered quickly. The bunks in the queen loft room were definitely on the hard side but it didn't bother us. It's not luxury but I couldn't ask for much more for the price and location.
