While the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and a fantastic vibe, the overall experience was unfortunately a profound letdown.
We opted for the 5-course menu, and the consensus in our group was that the food was surprisingly bland and uninspired. In fact, several people in our party were so underwhelmed that they sent dishes back unfinished (not me, I'd never waste food ;)).
The most disappointing part of our experience was the complete lack of customer care after our visit. I accidentally left my sunglasses behind and was initially relieved when the restaurant emailed to confirm they had found them. However, when I asked if they could ship them to my home in AT (naturally, at my own expense), my request was ignored.
It took three weeks and two follow-up emails to finally receive a blunt, unhelpful reply: "we sadly will not be able to arrange this for you." No alternative solution offered.
For a restaurant where our group's bill exceeded €1,000, this disregard for a simple customer request is unacceptable. A willingness to spend a few minutes to mail a pair of sunglasses should be a given at this price point. My final email expressing my disappointment was, unsurprisingly, also ignored.
Ultimately, the lovely setting could not compensate for the mediocre food and the appalling lack of service. It left a lasting negative impression.
