Room and bathroom were clean. Did not use kitchen but it looked fine. Staff was very friendly and let me dump my luggage in storage a few hours early. Great value! My review may be biased as I was in a great mood because I got a 4 bed dorm all to myself for my one night stay :)

I stayed here for over five weeks from January to March ‘25. I have mixed opinions. The staff are amazing, they really do go above and beyond to help you out, and they are super friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day and so are the bathrooms. It’s quite easy to meet people here, too. One of the kitchens is way too small on one of the floors and isn’t ideal to cook in but that can’t be helped, the other floors have bigger and more accessible kitchens. My main issue is the people. This hostel allows all ages so some rooms you are lumped in with 60+ years of age, as a young girl, sharing rooms or floors with old men is not ideal. As it’s one of the cheapest hostels, some of the residents here seem to be people who would otherwise be on the street, some seem on drugs or unhinged in general, which made me feel quite unsafe at times. I also found they have a high threshold for kicking people out - some people who were complained about several times from many different people had no real consequences. On my first night I also had no clean sheets. And if you arrive after hours there’s nobody at reception apart from security who you have to call - but if you have just arrived in the country naturally you don’t have a sim. So some minor improvements.

perfect for solo travellers & located in the center of the city. to get to my room, I did have to open 10 doors just to go back to my room from the entrance. kitchen is well eqquiped & the toilet was always clean!

For the price it's great, very well located in the heart of the city and the hostelry is well organised (Lockers in the rooms, labels for the beds and for the food - negative point shower and toilet in the same room and there are not many for the floor you are on) + super staff at the welcome counter. Private car park available ($24 for the night pretty decent) The rooms (bed x 4) are quite small, there is a problem of ventilation because it doesn't smell fresh at all! Stop putting carpets in the rooms, it's always damp and doesn't smell nice please 🫣

I will say as per their price its really good place to stay specially who are solo travellers or trekkers and one who are on budget. Staff friendly and people are nice too. Free drinks and good cleaning

Good if you're a heavy sleeper who can sleep through anything. Not the worst hostel I've stayed at, and generally nice place and location, and staff were friendly, but my main complaint is that the place is VERY noisy. Dorm doors (which are very loud opening and closing) all have huge gaps under so noise travels from the kitchens (banging cupboards, etc) and communal spaces located right outside the rooms. Staff don't enforce the 11pm curfew for noise or alcohol, I was kept awake until past midnight waiting for a party with people yelling and drinking to finish in the kitchen and communal area on my floor (yellow zone). They also have communal eating areas in the hallways, making it VERY hard to get to the rooms as you have to push past drunk people who speak other languages. Why have so many chairs and a table in a narrow hallway? Beds are VERY creaky so any movement wakes everyone up. Not many toilets so good luck if you need one urgently. Very stuffy atmosphere, even if the windows are open. I wish I had more nice things to say, but I won't be back. The check in and check out experience was nice and easy though, and it was reasonably cheap... I guess you get what you pay for...

A good clean hostile, and a terrific location. Staff were quite nice, and very helpful. Had a private room with an affordable rate, very comfortable. I would stay here again, probably will.

Unfortunately this hostel was not clean. The interior looked a bit shabby. The room smelled like there had not been fresh air in it for ten days. The floor was also not vacuumed. When I reported that they put in a fan but that only made the smelly air go round inside the room. The bathroom was not clean. It didn’t look at all like the nice pictures I saw when booking.
