This is the best Mexican food in Mt. Joy PA. The service is friendly, warm and inviting. The food here is 100% delicious and delectable. I like how clean the restaurant is and the fun music they play over their speakers. I've eaten lunch here before and at times it gets busy, just make sure you plan your time accordingly.

Friendly staff, fast turn around for take out. Delicious food and affordable! Can feed our family of 6 for around $40!

Tasty food. Portions were generous. Great prices. Small dining area. Most tables had diners. I just wish the soup and fries came out as an appetizer as requested. There may have been a communication barrier. Would eat again when in the area.

This is a hidden gem of a Mexican spot. My friend loves Mexican so I showed him this place. Oh we had fun. I also like that the place is small and intimate. It doesn't seat many but yet isn't too cramped. The food I'd absolutely delicious and you can't beat the prices either. Our food came out fast, fresh, hot, and cooked well. Our server was very friendly and made sure our waters stayed full (which I personally always appreciate)

The food is always perfect (no really it is), the prices are great, the staff is super friendly, and they have never once made me feel even a little disappointed - and we eat here OFTEN. Our entire family of six gets excited for Tres Hermanos nights. We eat every bite. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Restaurant close at nine and I arrive at 8:10 PM. All the food was fresh and prepared wonderfully! If you do not eat at this venue, especially the one located in Mountjoy because that’s the one I visited You are really really, really missing out. Service was fantastic and the people are extremely humble and friendly. I had a wonderful time And experience.

Monday August 8th. Had the al pastor taco platter. Was life changing good. The pork was cooked to perfection and the rice and beans were made in house and delicious crumble cheese on the beans. Best in town highly recommend!

Being Cinco de Mayo we decided to pursue some local Mexican fare. We found this eatery easily on Main St with a parking space out front. On entering there were a small number of booths and some tables. It was lunch time and I expected the place to be hopping, but patronage was steady. We were brought the requisite complimentary salsa and chips. Both were acceptable with the salsa having a slight kick. We ordered an unsweet tea and a raspberry tea. They looked to come from a fountain dispenser but I found it nicely brewed and was offered a refill. The menu was extensive with a lengthy list of lunch specials. I asked to substitute a green chicken chili enchilada for a cheese enchilada and was refused. This is the sole reason for taking away a star. I ended up with 2 cheese enchiladas with a sweet green chili sauce. The rice and beans were both very nice. The enchiladas were tasty. The total for both meals and 2 teas with tax was, wait for it... $21! Yes, just $21 so I ended up tipping just over 30%. The tip went into a tip jar I guess they will split. We were attended by 3 servers, all very nice and attentive. If not for the unwillingness to substitute cheese for chicken on the enchilada this little eatery could get 5 stars for everything else they did well. We left very satisfied and very glad we found a little place to patronize for Cinco de Mayo.

This is the most legit Mexican food that you'll find in the area!! It's a small grocery store with a small restaurant attached. The place is as simple as they come; clean, swift service, and great food at fair price. My personal favorite are the taquitos, or, what they call tacos derado - 4 rolled tacos fried and smothered in guac and sour cream. SO good. I recommend eating it on the spot rather than taking it home. But take home is good too.

Stopped in for lunch on a rainy and dreary day while in the area. I was quickly seated my drink order was taken. A couple minutes later complimentary chips and salsa were served along with my glass of water. The chips were still warm which is a detail I always appreciate. The salsa was very flavorful despite it being very thin. I didn't place my order for three Campechano Tacos Wichita served on corn tortillas and have a mixture of chorizo and steak and garnished with chopped cilantro and onion. I also ordered a side of refried beans and rice. It wasn't long after I placed my order that my food arrived at the table. I was also given some hot salsas from behind the counter when I asked. The tacos were one ply but they still held together well. The red sauce is very smoky and spicy and delicious! The tacos themselves were packed and after finishing my whole dish I left very satisfied and full. In this restaurant they also have a couple grocery items for sale that you can buy so I walked out of there with a bottle of one of my favorite hot sauces from Mexico, Valentina. And at the end of the day the total price I paid for everything including tip left me with an equally satisfying feeling and big smile on my face.

The food was great and the waitress was good. It was truly an authentic Mexican restaurant.

We placed a sizable take out order for a recent girls' night. Excellent service, start to finish. Very pleasant hostess took down our order and it was ready within 20 min. Everything in our order was carefully packed, and tasted fresh and well-seasoned: sopes (hard to find in most Mexican restaurants; huarache; corn tortilla beef tacos, chips and salsa were all very good but our favorite was the spicy chicken tacos on flour tortillas. Wow. 10/10 spicy and piquant. Highly recommend Tres Hermanos in Mount Joy.

Not bad. Not great. The sign on the door says no public restrooms - that's a red flag for me. The menu has a ton of notes about no changes, no substitutions, etc - again, a red flag. I ordered a quesadilla and my partner ordered steak nachos. The service was fast but both of us felt like the food was just so so.

Me and my family love Tres Hermanos! It's good, authentic Mexican food that reminds me of my homes state California! All the servers and cooks and hostesses are so kind and courteous! And the prices are reasonable and it's clean and neat! And the food is absolutely incredible! Our favorite Mexican restaurant!

Delicious! Having moved to Mount Joy temporarily for a couple months, I was thrilled to see there is a Mexican restaurant downtown. When I saw it was associated with the Tres Hermanos in Harrisburg, I knew I'd found gold! The small little restaurant exudes "authentic" as soon as you enter. Service (to-go) was very friendly and quick. Even though they were very busy, I was greeted warmly by everyone. Now to the food! We sampled a variety of items from the menu and everything was delicious. The chips and salsa were just right and came in large portions. The Huaraches were very flavorful and not something you see regularly on may restaurants' menus. The other items we ordered were Enchilada Suiza, Chimichangas, and Carnitas platter. All portions were large and everything was cooked just right! One thing that stood out to all of us was the beans! The beans were absolutely delicious and not the standard refried ones you find at other places. Overall a solid authentic Mexican restaurant find! I can't wait to return to sample other menu items!

On our last day in York, we wanted to stop by the North York Heritage Trail. Of course it being Memorial Day and many of the restaurants are still closed because of Covid, we found this place on Yelp and decided to order. I had 3 tacos (marinated pork, grilled steak, and shrimp). I very much enjoyed the shrimp one as well as the marinated pork. The steak was a tad dry for my taste bud. My wife got the shrimp with garlic sauce which she too enjoyed as the seafood tasted pretty fresh. My son got the Mole Mexicano which he didn't enjoy so much. I just don't think he was a fan of the presentation and how it all came together. He did very much like the tres de leche cake for dessert. Overall, I would just give this place a 3 stars for today and I would recommend. The staffs are super friendly and very attentive.

I can't believe I waited so long to try Tres Hermanos. Tasty, authentic Mexican food and great service! Not to mention it's right down the road from my place. I love their salsa and could eat that along with chips and guacamole for a meal. Yummmm! You get one serving of chips and salsa complimentary. After that, you have to pay. I love that their fajitas and quesadillas come with corn tortillas. I don't think that they are handmade but they're really good. My second trip I ordered tacos with lengua (beef tongue)--nice and tender. Delicious! Another good choice in Mount Joy! =)

Decor/service: a very busy place on a Thursday night. The service was quick. Classic decor but nothing really specially in that sense. Food: the food is very good and classic Mexican. The chimichanga with shredded chicken was delicious and had just the right flavors! Would very much recommend. The nachos were good and the chips and salsa is a go to! The salsa was made perfectly.

Really a 4.5 place! Solid Mexican in PA. Great lunch specials even on the weekend. Traditional street tacos (or regular soft or hard tacos) were great and nicely portioned. Really good guac and salsa. Cheese dip a little watery but I have a feeling it depends who is making it. Rice was tomato and a great side. Beans a smidge salty but the hubby love them. They have some nice sauces that had great flavor and nice heat! I would frequent this place if I lived closer. Nice staff! Back again a year later and still really good. Cheese dip is better than before. Also found out it is byob which bumped up my 4.5 to a 5 star! Yaassss!

The best Mexican food places are usually the ones that don't spend a lot on their decor, and this is a good example of that truism. We wandered in for a good Mexican meal and were completely happy with what we had. Everything on the menu tasted freshly made, including their tortillas and their salsa. The rice was superior, their refrigerator beans were delicious, and our burrito and chimi were some of the best we've had. Ignore the decor - this is good Mexican food!

This place was really highly recommended to me by my cousin and her husband, whom I visit when in the Lancaster-area. During a recent road trip (for me), I stopped to see them both and we ended up ordering takeout from Tres Hermanos. It was a Sunday night, so they had to double check to make sure it was open (knowing how so many things in Lancaster shut down on Sundays). Thankfully, it was open! We checked out the menu, placed our order, and the food was ready for pick-up after just 10 minutes. While we all ordered different things, I opted for an order of the marinated pork tacos. Three tacos come in an order, and it was the perfect amount of food to account for my dinner for the night. The tacos themselves were delicious and had an authentic taste of Mexico. The three of us nibbled on chips for the rest of the night too, dipping them in tasty red and green salsas. TL;DR Delicious food with an authentic taste. Bonus: open Sundays in Lancaster! :)

This was worst Mexican food we've ever had. Tacos and fries were soggy. Chips tasteless. My husband could not even finish his beef taco special because the tacos fell apart and the meat so tasteless. Queso tasted like condensed milk. Shrimp made me sick to my stomach. It was a waste of our time and money. I do not recommend this place. Update from next day: Sick as a dog all night and still today. Not happy with This restaurant !!

Are you looking for great Mexican food in the greater Lancaster, PA area? Do not go here. I lived in Arizona for 20 years. I know great Mexican cuisine. And it can be found here, but not at this restaurant. I had the shredded beef burrito with red sauce and a side of beans. The beef was watery with zero flavor. The beans were not refried, just a watery mess of no flavor. There was a small side of a ¼ cup of shredded lettuce, a large tomato wedge, and a teaspoon of sour cream and guacamole. My fellow diners both had the ground beef taco salad. The presentation was hilarious with slices of bell pepper sticking out, large tomato wedges, and the beef had zero seasoning. They would have had more flavoring from a packet of Old El Paso taco mix. And one asked for Italian dressing and was brought Thousand Island. Our server was very curt, and really seemed like she would rather be anywhere else. Given the food, I don't blame her. The positives: Their guacamole was passable. The warm tortilla chips were the best thing I ate. The salsa that was offered was actually sweet (?) but flavorful. After asking twice, I was brought two bottles of (I think) homemade hot sauce. The green was okay. The red was decently spicy and was the only thing that helped me eat a few bites of my burrito. This is the worst "Mexican" cuisine I have ever had. And the more I think about it, the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant. I was hoping for so much more given the other small Mexican restaurants I have been to in the area. There are some great ones! Avoid this one at all cost if you actually want flavor and authenticity.

In the years since my first review we visited this place quite a few times. Not because it was exceptional - because that it is not. But because it is authentic. When I want Mexican I don't want Taco Bell or some other Americanized chain restaurant or Mexican wanna be....I want the real deal and this place does deliver that. For the most part our meals were acceptable. My husband always ordering a few of the quesadillas (they're on the small side, even the meal is smallish) and I the trio of pork tacos. Service has always been touch and go - never great - sometimes communication is better than others, sometimes there's a charge for cheese or sour cream, other times there isn't. I've always felt that it wasn't a true waitress service restaurant and tipping for incomplete service always left me sour. If you are a full service restaurant service I should not have to come to the counter - for anything! With that being said our recent visit last week left us entirely sure that we would not be coming back. It had been a about 9 months since our last meal here. My husband's quesadillas was even smaller in size than in the past and the cheese was straight from the bag and not even melted. It was even cold to the touch. My pork tacos were filled with this gelatinous squares of God knows what. I gagged just touching them to remove them from my taco - but once all were removed there was no meat. When I went to the counter (yes because there is no follow up) to alert our "waitress" she said that is how "pork tacos are".... but I have NEVER, ever had a pork taco (and I've had plenty of Mexican street food in my day) that had that going on!!! She did take it back but by the time my redone tacos arrived - less some of the fatty, grisly tendon infused meat but not completely rid of it - my appetite was ruined. This will be an experience that will linger with me for some time. Looks like I won't be ordering tacos from anywhere anytime soon! This place is awesome in every way. I've eaten here a number of times. I'm not sure why it ever gets bad reviews. We both had the combo platter of chimichanga and a taco with beans and rice. 9.99. How can you beat that with chips and salsa? You can't. Order came out so fast I think they may be psychic. Delicious. Will always come back here.

This is easily one of the best hidden eateries of Mount Joy and lancaster. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff maybe one of the most nice and attentive around. We had our two year old son along and there were no issues. For starters we had the nachos supreme which had all the traditional nacho sides plus steak, chicken, and chorizo. The distribution of toppings was not skimpy and the addition of the homemade salsa made for the perfect bite every time. Our son had the chicken quesadilla kids meal and for $4.49 it may one of the best kid meal deals around. The quesadilla consisted of shredded chicken and traditional queso fresco and was paired with rice. The rest of our party had chicken enchiladas with green sauce, chile rellano, and shredded chicken tostadas. Each dish,with the exception of the tostadas, came either choice of beans and rice. We choose to eat our meals family style and share. The food was flavourful and hot when it arrived as everything is made to order. Excellent dining experience.

Tres Hermanos is okay at best. My wife and I decided to go here for dinner because we were hankering for Mexican food. The restaurant is small with a few booths and has a corner store feel. Our waitress was incredibly nice, so customer service is pretty good. The food was decent, but not great. I got the steak fajitas and it was okay. The steak was dry, but I dug the rice that came with the meal. Not bad, but not great.

Tried this for the first time recently and was only mad I hadn't gone here sooner! Friendly staff and quality, homemade food for a great price. Food was ready quickly and they provide large portions. Will definitely make this a regular spot!

My favorite place in Mount Joy!! So amazing and great value. The food is incredible and the service is fast! Large portions so come hungry lol! Very vegetarian friendly as well. Love to support this local treasure, there's one in Harrisburg too I believe. Definitely 5 always exactly what I want! My favorites are the cheese quesadilla app because it comes with their fresh guac and salsa and the veggie enchiladas!

Heard a lot of good things about this place, so we decided to try it. I was craving tacos so I ordered the Campachos (steak and sausage) platter, with rice, beans, and all the extras (flour tortillas, cheese, avocado). My husband, a picky eater, got the shrimp fajitas. When she set his plate down, with this huge piece of fish atop scallops and shrimp, I was jealous I hadn't gotten the fish. It smelled AMAZING! I wolfed down the first taco, and some of the rice (a little bland for me) and beans with cheese. Started on the second taco and was slowing down. Too many of the chips and salsa while waiting for our food. My husband was feeling the same. He almost never ends up with leftovers, but we both have enough for lunch the next day. It was SO much food. We'll definitely go back and we'll both get the fish!

Not grand. I've had better, there are better options in mount joy. Food was mediocre at best slightly over priced. The guacamole, salsa, and chips were the best they offered.

Great Authentic Mexican Food! Attentive servers, fresh ingredients, clean and welcoming environment. Read reviews about how good the food was, so we had to try it out. It surely didn't disappoint. I recommend the Pazole and the Tacos. The chips and salsa were also super fresh and homemade!

There's so few authentic Mexican joints left and to have one in Mt Joy is awesome. It's a mom and pop place and the food is worthy of a tv spot. Today's lunch includes a California style burritos smothered in sauce and cheese, retried beans to die for and a nice crunchy taco (not really Mexican tho) to boot. There's lots of options on the menu and the lunch menu is perfectly priced. If you're looking for a quick fix, skip the chains and head here, chipotle's got nothing on this place.

Authentic, large portions, and delicious. Best guacamole and chili rellenos I've had in years. Service is friendly and welcoming. It's the kind of place you want to keep a secret, but can't help telling folks about it.

The Tacos here are perfect! Their sopapillas were great and the staff is friendly. My husband gets a platter and he enjoys it everytime. Really authentic Mexican. Byob, but they have a variety of Mexican sodas.

I had the enchiladas de mole and they were wonderful! I also tried a pork tamal and it was packed with pork! My mom got a chicken sope and the chicken had a great marinade to it. We had a really great experience and will definitely be back! Try the mole!

Love it here. As authentic as it gets. No matter what I get, I'm never disappointed. The worst part of the restaurant is the parking. Don't let that stop you from eating here, though.

I had the lengua and tripe tacos. They were really delicious!!!!!! Up to tacos in California standards. Very friendly waitresses and the place is nice and clean. Would come back if this place was closer to Hershey which I wish it were... we need more taco shops

Just finished dinner here. It was amazing. This place was packed and I know why. The food was great and the prices were even better. I had the enchiladas plater 1 beef 1 chicken and 1 cheese. The portion sizes are large as well.

We just moved from Arizona and have been craving real Mexican food. We found it tonight from quesadilla to fajitas to burrito to sopapillas. Small family restaurant with happy vibe

It's been a while since I've been there. But the last two times we went the food was authentic the people inside were very pleasant overall it was a tasty experience.

I've been looking for a good place to get Mexican food. I've tried other closer places, but they just didn't have the appeal of legitimate Mexican restaurants. I had the Chiles Relleno, for $10 I got 2 chiles, beans rice and small corn tortillas to make into bite sized burritos. I'm not a huge fan of corn tortillas, so I'm not the best judge, but they were served in foil hot and steaming. I could only eat 1 of the chiles and I was very hungry when I sat down to eat. I love that they have a tiny shop set up out front where you can get Mexican Coke in 1/2 liter bottles, that's the first time I've seen them in Lancaster. I got fried ice cream for desert, though I was disappointed that it wasn't traditional fried ice cream where it's actually fried moments before it's served. Seems like no place in Lancaster will make actual fried ice cream. But still, it was very good ice cream. I'm looking forward to trying the flan.

Best Huevos Ranchero I have had in years! Home made chips n dip, grandson had a beef taco. Very authentic, reasonable prices, easy to find, street parking. Yummy!!

I had ordered pork taco togo got home an it was cow tongue so i went back an an let them know, lady in the front had an attitude. Didn'tWant to exchange my order. An also had fajitas which come with rice had no rice just steak an veggies. So i decided to write a review it one thing for a mistake which I'm ok with who doesn't make mistakes. But to have an attitude an the still have the second part of the order wrong. Guess just not well managed
