I booked 3 nights in the Master Suite, a room we’ve stayed in several times before. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the A/C in that suite wasn’t working and that we would be downgraded to another room. However, I happened to walk by the suite I had reserved and saw that it was already occupied by someone else. Clearly, the story about the A/C was a lie.||When I confronted her, she changed her story and claimed the mattress was damaged. It wasn’t until I mentioned legal action that she sent me to the front desk to “resolve” the issue. We ended up staying in the downgraded room simply because we had a tight schedule and were already there.||Unfortunately, every staff member we interacted with tried to cover for one another, each repeating different excuses. The owner was present and offered a complimentary dinner, but I didn’t want a free meal—I just wanted the suite I paid for.||The downgraded room felt cheap and neglected. The shower doors were covered in old soap scum, and the room showed clear signs of wear and tear.||After this experience, we’ll be looking for a new hotel in the area. It’s disappointing to see such poor service and dishonesty from a place we used to enjoy.||A real shame.
