Best gardens I've seen, there are many surprises around each pathway. It's a relatively compact botanical garden, not long walks on a big estate, but its packed with unusual trees and shrubs as well as some sculptures. There is an outdoor museum of ships mast head figures from mainly wrecks around the Scilly Isles. The gardens are over a mile from New Grimsby Quay, so may be a struggle for the less able. There may be a minibus you can book or a golf buggy to rent, but I saw no details of where.

Lovely experience today looking at the floral and fauna. My favourite part though was seeing some red squirrel in these beautiful gardens. There is a cafe, shop and toilets available. For those staying on the island a weekly pass is also available for around 25% more for an adult. There are the remains of an old Abbey inside too and a mixture of modern art in carious places.

Absolutely stunning, vibrant botanic gardens. Filled with plants and trees from all over the world. Lovely red squirrels can be seen at various feeding stations. Good cafe and shop too. Highly recommend a visit 👌🏻

Nice day out if it's fine weather, although wear sensible footwear as there is lots of walking. The cafe is reasonably priced with a gift shop attached to it. The toilets are just outside the cafe.

Large formal gardens. Nice new reception with cafe, toilet and small museum. Will take two hours to walk the gardens. Wonderful plants in exceptional setting. Don't miss the red squirrels. About £18 to enter in 2025.

A must visit when you go to Tresco. Very nice landscaped tropical gardens. Good cafe and very clean facilities.

We spent the whole day in these spectacular gardens. Yes it’s expensive to get there but the helicopter deposits you just 100 metres from the entrance. In early March it was still their “winter” season so the shop and cafe were shut but we had the whole place virtually to ourselves and sandwiches in the sun on the top terrace overlooking the garden was blissful. The proteas, the banksias, the leucospermums, the aloes and many many others were in full bloom. We met by chance one of their gardeners and the welcome, help and information she provided were beyond all expectations. If you go on holiday to the South West visit this place; you will not find anywhere like it.

Really lovely day out and great bit of history, definitely different to another garden you will experience. Also so big plus the Gardens are also dog friendly. 😊
