4 Best Day Trips from Seattle | Condé Nast Traveler

"Imbibers come to Treveri Cellars as much for the sweeping vineyard views as for the crisp sparklers. The patio is an idyllic place to sip and enjoy an afternoon in the sun with friends. No need to go to Champagne , wine here is all about bubbles, with half a dozen different varieties like brut blanc de blancs, Riesling, and a sparkling Syrah brut." - Jenna Scatena, Allison Williams

Delicious bubbly wine selection with an impeccable view! I’ve been to Treveri a few times, and it’s always well worth it. Our most recent trip for brunch and a flight was maybe the best yet! The food was very tasty, buffet style, and our server, Kaylee, was outstanding. She even made sure to accommodate me as a vegetarian, which was highly appreciated. Service A+! Looking forward to going back again in the future!

Google
Throughly enjoyed my afternoon at Treveri Cellars! Happened to be in town for work and was pleased by the view and the varieties of good quality wine. Additionally, the spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. Would recommend to anyone passing through! Beautiful outdoor as well as indoor space. Perfect for a good quiet afternoon.

Google
This place is such a treat! Our server Karlee went above and beyond to make our experience the absolute best it could be! She was so personable and fun to talk to. Treveri was the absolute perfect visit for our trip to Yakima and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much Karlee!!

Google
Had a great visit and Luce introduced us to new sparkling we haven’t had before. Bought two bottle and couldn’t be happier. On a side note, we are and had lunch and the brat was OUTSTANDING ! My wife had a flat bread that she was able to customize and it was delicious, and complimented the sparking flight. TY Luce

Google
Amazing experience throughout, and our host Luz provided an excellent customer service. She was kind, welcoming, detailed and friendly. The soft pretzel charcuterie is also a must-have, highly recommended! Thank you Luz and team!

Google
We had a wonderful experience at this winery! Karlee was our server and made the visit so enjoyable with her friendly and attentive service. We didn’t try any food this time, but we purchased two bottles and absolutely loved both the rosé and the chardonnay. The setting was beautiful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Google
Went recently with a few of my coworkers from work. We had a great night and great food. Our waitress was Karlee and she was very sweet and helpful! She helped us navigate through the menu and helped me figure out what hibiscus drink I've had in the past here but couldn't put my name on what it was. She recommended the flight which I think most of us girls got so we got to taste a variety of different wines. I purchased a bubbly red too which I highly reccomend. We all exchanged great conversation with the waitress and had a good time; overall the vibe was great, food was delicious and we gotta return soon for another girls night or sip and paint perhaps!

A few years back, we visited for the first time and absolutely loved our experience. I should mention that we never made a reservation, yet the staff always managed to accommodate us perfectly. However, last year when I brought my mom for her first visit, the staff were quite unkind and sent us away. This past Saturday, a friend and I decided to give Treveri another chance, and we were welcomed by Luz. Luz is truly one of the kindest individuals I've ever met, and she made sure our experience was fantastic. I will definitely return because of Luz and the wonderful wine. Thank you so much, Luz, for making our experience so memorable.

Yelp
We had a great time visiting. Keeley, our server, was great and engaging. The GF Flatbread was outstanding as well as the Wine! The patio has a great view and they were able to get us in without reservations, but I would recommend one with a big group or weekend. We'll look forward to coming here again.

Yelp
Ive been to this wine cellar more than a few times in the past and it has never disappointed. The servers and managers always provide the best service even as times have changed. It's been a while since I've came into town to visit and hadnt realize a few of their policies had changed. The manager really tried her best to work with our large group. She did her very best at accommodate a small discrepancy. Overall great food, amazing wine and service! The outdoor area is kept up very well. Makes the experince very peaceful and beautiful.

Yelp
Karlee who looked after us, was delightful, knowledgeable and lovely to chat with as we consumed a couple of glasses of their sparkling wine. The location suffers a little from road noise but is overall very pleasant and we had a few snacks and copious amounts of cool water. The sparkling wines are all interesting but their original brut was my favourite. Karlee surprised me, as it was my 65th birthday, with a complimentary gift which was the highlight of my three week wine tasting tour in Washington and Oregon. Thank you......

Yelp
What a great stop on our road trip. Talk to a couple of locals they were so nice. But more importantly the sparkling was OUTSTANDING and the food was OUTSTANDING. Ty to Luce for opening our pallet to sparkling they we wouldn't try normally. What a great vineyard with spectacular views. Definitely worth a lunch visit or extended tasting.

Yelp
Whenever we are in the area we must make a stop here! There are no better deals for sparking wine in the region. The food prices are steep but forgivable after a few glasses of their bubbles. Service (from Eric) was impeccable, he was calm and friendly even as they where slammed. The outdoor seats are a great place to unwind and socialize with a nice view of the hills and vines.

Yelp
I drove from Seattle for a solo day trip and was really looking forward to visiting Treveri Cellars, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I didn't feel welcomed. I asked if I could sit on the patio, and the woman at the counter just said "yes," placed the menus on the counter, and told me to find a seat outside. I sat on the patio for at least 10 minutes without any service--no water, no greeting, nothing. What made it worse is that while I was waiting, I saw other guests who arrived after me get immediate service and attention. Eventually I had to go inside and place my order upfront. When I checked out, another staff member told me my total was $88 and asked me to pay without even showing me a receipt. I asked to see it, and it turned out they had rung up someone else's order. That was careless and frustrating on top of everything else. The only bright spot was the server who brought out my food; she was kind and attentive, but by then the overall experience had already been soured. For a place that prides itself on hospitality, I expected a much warmer and more attentive atmosphere. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

Yelp
Beautiful place. I highly recommend being outside but i prefer being outside. Wr asked if we could be seated at the covered patio spaces but were told they were reserved. Later er saw others without reservations being seated which was odd. Assume it was a disconnect Treveri only does sparking wines. I am not well versed in this area but it was fun. A couple of our tastings were downright delicious. I bought a bottle. They also offer food but we had already eaten. The food looked good. The inside felt a little more restaurant like. Not in a bad way just a different vibe. I was glad we had a small table near entrance outside I would definitely come back. Outside is so pretty and I'd like to learn more about sparkling wine

Yelp
My family made a reservation for Sunday brunch. The view from our shaded outdoor table of the hills of the vineyards and the edges of the valley beyond was fantastic. The buffet was fine. But we were blown away by the service and hospitality of our server, Karlee. First, she helped us select our wines (one glass per person included in the price of brunch). All the wine, as it turns out, is excellent, but I felt like the Brut Zero was the perfect pair for an all-you-can-eat buffet in the summer: each sip cooled me off and cleansed my palate, getting me ready for the next bite of prime rib or lemon macaron. Next, she worked with the kitchen to prepare a plate for a vegetarian in our group. It seems like the food that is served in the buffet changes and this time there weren't many vegetarian options when we visited. Finally, she remained attentive and friendly throughout our meal, helping us take photos. I felt like the experience was great value. Looking forward to next time!

Yelp
We love stopping by Treveri when we are heading East to wine country. The sparkling flights are always fun to try and they were able to get a pizza for my kid! We sat outside which was gorgeous. I really don't have any complaints! The dip was by far exceeding my expectations, and the salad was a perfect touch to the hot weather! The service is steady, but they always seem to be very busy, I wonder if they struggle to keep a full staff or if callouts just cause the stress. With that being said the servers were so friendly, I could just tell they were so busy.
google avatar

Kurt P.

Yelp
Beautiful location I come here for the view alone. They pretty much only do sparkling wines and they are generally fun. If you like bubbles in your beverages this is a must try. If you don't come for a summer evening on the patio and you will still have a good time. Only downside is their charcuterie boards have been downsized. There is less of a selection than previously. On this occasion I split the Cobb salad with my wife it was good no complaints. Out on the patio it's more self service so I can't really give service 5 stars, but the staff were very friendly when I went inside. Again I will emphasize that the patio is beautiful. I think the interior could use some updating.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Excellent service and great sparkling wines for an even better value! I've been drinking Treveri since 2015 and am so glad I finally made it out to the tasting room. I had way too many questions about the wine, and Karlee and the two gentlemen who helped me were all so helpful. I really lucked out getting a table as a walk in on a Saturday, so definitely make a reservation if you are planning on visiting on a weekend.

Yelp
Sunshine and sparkling wine makes for the perfect outing at Treveri Cellars. You get a breathtaking view off the vineyard, valley, and Mt. Adams! The staff are lovely and made my experience memorable! I love the rose but they have a tasting flight so you can pick your favorite! They also have shareable snacks that perfectly complete your drinks. When I was there they even have seasonal mimosa flavors that were delectable! If you are in the Yakima area I would recommend and afternoon or evening at Treveri!
google avatar

Yelp
Great View. Friendly efficient service. Loved their crab cakes and wine flights. It was moderately busy when we were there, but we were able to have conversations without yelling at each other

Yelp
We recently visited Trevari Cellars with a out of town friend for a tasting. The sparkling wines were wonderful along with the service. Keely assisted us and she was so helpful and very friendly. We are part of the bubble club and she made sure we were able to taste sparkling wines that fit our flavor profiles. We love going there on Sunday afternoon to chill out and enjoy the beautiful view. I absolutely would recommend Trevari Cellars and will continue to visit their lovely tasting room. *One small note, we had the cheese plate and I wish the cheeses were a little more special. Maybe a brie, cambazola or goat cheese would be a nice addition.

Yelp
They are. Out 0f lobster bites .. 1/27/24 so they said they will substitute to real crab.. ya fresh out of the can crab . The street corn .. is four way down the husk .. so you get the nice crunch of the cob witch I don't like but I learned how to eat it . .. 18 bucks .. the bacon on the corn Is amazing . It is pretty good if you know how to eat the things I ordered .. I would order the corn again I just know how to eat it now

Yelp
As ALWAYS Treveri is the best. My choice for our anniversary trip this year was a trip to Yakima for wine tasting and particularly, specifically to Trevari at the end of the day for a jumbo pretzel charcuterie board and cocktails featuring Treveri's bubbly wines. Cheri (sp?) our server was excellent and made us feel right at home: making sure we were comfortable on the patio and chose the wines that suited our tastes. I hope we get to see her the next time we're back. Making reservations for an evening meal or a larger group is wise; Treveri is quite popular. We made reservations for the patio through Treveri's website. That worked out nicely. It was a cool, windy day for patio seating so we brought extra layers and a couple fleece blankets. Next time we'll be back with friends for the patio-side mimosa ice bucket service.

Yelp
I hit around 12 vineyards in 2 days and this experience was by far my least favorite, and probably of no fault to the vineyard itself. It came recommended and its popularity, apparently for its sparkling wines, was evident upon arrival. The place was packed. It was too busy. When I go wine tasting, I like to feel relaxed. Here, I was a bit on edge because the service took a long time. And because they were so busy, our experience felt rushed. Nobody explained the wines to us because they were too busy, although the tasting was very good. The charcuterie was sub-par. We really just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible and move onto the next, which we did, but not before buying a bottle on the way out. If you must have sparking, then I would say this is a must-stop since maybe no other vineyard in the region offers them. If, however, you can forego sparkling, there is no reason to come here.

Yelp
We were in town for the Prosser Balloon Launch, so decided to check out this winery that had been on my list. Very pretty winery with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating had reservations, but they were able to get us at an outdoor table that was not reserved. Lots of green space and great views. They are known for their sparkling wine, so my husband and I each got a flight. We tried to get different ones so we could try them all. They also have some cocktails, so if sparkling wine isn't your thing, there are other beverage options.

Yelp
Our large family of 13 were lucky enough to have reservations in this wonderful location and absolutely fantastic sparkling wines. This is truly a gem in the Yakima Valley. Our server was Kitt and she went out of her way to serve all of us! This was during a super busy Sunday and we could not have been more pleased with everything. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in southern WA this is a must stop for me. The food here is incredibly flavorful, fresh and not overly complicated. The service is always fast and super friendly. I usually order a bottle of sparkling for the table and a charcuterie board. The boards are beautifully presented and delicious! The view from the lawn is just stunning. My favorite time to visit is during sunset. Just incredible. Last but definitely not least is Mama, the winery cat. She is skittish but loves meat and will get close for a treat but will not let you pet her. Do yourself a favor and visit Treveri!!
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Love the sparkling wine especially the rosé. The servers went out of their way to help me and a friend celebrate me getting into grade school!

Yelp
This review is based on our last visit, 8/10/24 and we're sadly disappointed with the overall experience. When we arrived in the later afternoon, we opted for the inside. Ordered the mimosa flight and goat cheese dip with bread, when it was served to us, we weren't given any plates or utensils, so we flagged someone down to assist. The server who took our original order, never appeared again. The ladies restroom was in need of paper, I had to find someone to assist with restocking and it could use a cleaning. There seemed to be a lot of guests at the time we arrived, but quickly noticed they were not staying around. If this had been our first visit, probably would've been the last. Definitely, not a priority stop. Good news, the local restaurants serve this wine.

Yelp
Treveri Cellars has become one of our favorite date spots. Our first time coming was back in May and we have been coming back ever since. Steve helped us the first time we came and his customer service was nothing short of perfect. We got to be served by Steve again today and he did not disappoint. He was attentive and made our wedding anniversary date great. Food and drinks were so good! Thank you Steve, we appreciate your attentiveness today.

Anirudh C.

Yelp
Had a fantastic time at Treveri with a group of friends. All of us had flights, I tried the classic flight which was great. The brut zero and their rose were great! Steve really made the experience amazing. Teaching us all about the wine making process, the history of treveri and just taking care of us. Highly recommend!

Betsy D.

Yelp
When heading to the Yakima Valley for wine tasting, Treveri is a must! We've been going there since the winery moved to their current spot and served bubbles in the bell shaped glasses. We are now wine club members and are so pleased with them. Luz is absolutely the best person to represent the company and she seemingly went above and beyond for us. She is knowledgeable and has the perfect demeanor for what she does for her job! Yesterday was the best experience we've had and felt so happy with our time with her. So glad we chased the sun to Treveri!!!
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Had a great visit to Treveri! When heading east on vacation we try to make this our kick off spot. Chere, waited on us and was so nice and accommodating. Their patio seating is beautiful and who doesn't love bubbles. A must stop! Get the whipped feta, yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall 3.5. Well worth visiting if you would like a tasting of sparkling wines. We enjoyed our visit. Service: 3.5. Friendly, and seated us in the private room though we hadn't asked. Didn't explain the wines, but took great care of us. Wine: 4.5. Only winery in Yakima that offers a sparkling wine flight. Very good. Ambiance: 3.0. We visited in late March, before it was warm enough for outside seating. Inside is great if you are seated in the private room in the back corner. If not, both the music and (especially) the crowd noise -- even with only a few customers -- are too loud / raucous.
google avatar

Shaunice W.

Yelp
10/10! Me and bestie came for the weekend and fell in love with the amazing views and great customer service! Thank you so much to the amazing staff who made sure we were comfortable and knew what we were drinking. We will definitely be back to see our new friends in Yakima! Bonus: Bush Jr. And Obama love their wines
google avatar

Ian K.

Yelp
Fantastic sparkling wine, great food menu, outstanding staff, and nice views. What's not to like?
google avatar

Nell G.

Yelp
Last Friday marks the third time we've journeyed to Treveri (from Missoula, MT) in a year. The beautiful terrace, friendly and attentive service, and unique sparkling wines (Syrah is our favorite!) keep us coming back for more. We came away with four bottles this time, but not sure that's enough! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Rachel V.

Yelp
Very cool, fancy place! We reserved a bubble outside for $25 but that comes off your total bill at the end. The large 6-8 person bubbles come with chill lighting and a small fire place. Even a button to call the waitress over. We ordered cheesecake, chocolate torte and a couple of bottles of Trevari Zero. The desserts and champagne were outstanding. Perfect place to end your day after dinner. It was really neat to connect with friends and look at the stars, but still stay warm. They also have blankets you can use. They also had these Trevari bottles dipped in different colors of glitter that you could purchase. And candles poured into cut half bottles made from used Trevari bottles were a good idea for a gift as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to celebrate their special day.

Cody M.

Yelp
Very nice server, Luz was excellent with her mannerism and willingness to satisfy any request our table had. Definitely coming back and asking for her service again. This place never disappoints!
google avatar

Jose F.

Yelp
This is such a fun place, whether you are catching up with friends or hosting an event. The selection of sparkling wines and food pairings is great. They also have a nice, fun Sunday Brunch. It is usually pretty busy so reservations are definitely helpful.
google avatar

Melinda W.

Yelp
Nice inside area, great outside area, several choices on flights and they have food options.

Yelp
We love Treveri!! We stop every time we are passing by. Today, was so much fun visiting with the employees. The pear, bleu cheese, bacon pizza was amazing!! Thank you Priscilla and Vinny for suggesting it! We are so happy it's back on the menu! I love the vibe!!!

Paulina P.

Yelp
Marvella was an amazing server when I came in on Monday! She absolutely nailed it on the great care and when I asked for recommendations she was quick to provide me with a great recommendation. The wine was great!

Yelp
Girls day at Treveri Cellars did not disappoint. I've had Treveri Cellars long before visiting the tasting room in the Yakima Valley, but the tasting room and setting made the Treveri experience all the better. For bubbles and bites, this place has it. We made a reservation prior to visiting, which I highly recommend you do. We arrived right at 12pm, when it opens on a Saturday and I kid you not, there were several people already waiting to get inside. Holy smokes is this place poppin'...with bubbles! For the four of us, we were able to be seated right away with our reservation inside; however, they do have outdoor seating. All of us did a tasting, which included four samples of the different bubbles: two blancs, one rose and one syrah. All of the bubbles were solid. My personal favorite is the rose sparkling, but all of them were enjoyable. They do not waive the tasting fee with purchase. In addition to our tasting, we also ordered the cheese plate, which was nice. There was also an option to get gluten-free crackers with. All in all, you don't want to miss out on a visit to Treveri Cellars when in the Yakima Valley. Located near two other wineries, it's a perfect stop for the day, especially if you're rolling into this place in a limo, which we noticed when here. Though, I can see why this place is popular for celebrations, as you can customize bottles, with different colored sequins and labels. Time to celebrate!
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
My friend and I took a trip to Washington and one of our stops was Treveri Cellars. The drinks were tasty! Steve took great care of us! He shared his knowledge with us, which we really appreciated. We ended up buying a bottle of wine each. I would highly recommend visiting and having Steve take care of you!

Katelyn B.

Yelp
Trisha is amazing! She makes the experience so awesome and is incredibly kind to guests.

Jasmine R.

Yelp
First time and it was wonderful! We got to watch the sunset and our server Karlee had great recommendations. The food portions were perfect for sharing. A great experience that we will be back for next month!

Ruby M.

Yelp
Kit was amazing! So kind, personable, and helpful. Would come back just for her. Kit, if you're reading this you're my personal hero.
google avatar

Joanne F.

Yelp
Even though Treveri was shockingly crowded when we arrived, we were immediately recognized and very shortly shown to a table and waited on. Every employee we had contact with was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We tried the mimosa flight during this most recent visit and were very surprised to see 4 "tastings" arrive that had to be at least 6 ounces each if not more. Be forewarned that sharing one mimosa tasting is sufficient. The mimosa tasting is seasonal based on fruit so I'd like to try it again in summertime when the valley is awash with fresh fruit. Since it was so crowded it was very noisy when we arrived, but became easier to converse as the crowd thinned out. They have heated igloos outside that can be reserved, which is a novel experience.
google avatar

Marcus F.

Yelp
Steve! Great experience in the bubble, had several flights of different wines. Steve made the experience what it was with his awesome customer service. Steve needs to just run the place and there would never be anything negative stated or written in your reviews. Go Steve! Ambiance was nice with a small group in the bubble. Steve!
google avatar

Aanchal J.

Yelp
What a gorgeous and charming place. Perfect to have a relaxed lunch along with some nice sparkling wines. The ambience is exceptional. We got a seat in one of the personal igloo booths and it was beautifully furnished. The views were great too. The food was pretty good and paired quite well with the wine.
google avatar

Jody L.

Yelp
Perfect perfect perfect. Delicious sparkling wines in a breathtaking setting. Was a highlight of our girls trip. Highly recommend Owen Roe next door for wonderful reds. CAN NOT WAIT TO RETURN.
google avatar

Rie T.

Yelp
Good place to stop for lunch/brunch. They have generous portions. I was happy with my Cobb Salad and my husband loved his short rib sandwich, it had wonderful flavors. Their boards looked amazing too.
google avatar

Nadene O.

Yelp
Steve at Treveri helped celebrate our bride today. 10/10 recommend. We had a jumbo pretzel which fed all 6 of us just fine. Along with a beautiful view of the vineyards around.
google avatar

Nellie C.

Yelp
This is a little piece of heaven, tucked away in the Wapato, WA hillside. You will find at the top of this short windy drive the main location of Treveri Cellars vineyard and where they do their aging and bottling of their their sparkling wines, making it the perfect location for their Tasting Room. To compliment their tasty wines are the beautiful rolling hills, the orchards of delicious fruits, indoor and outdoor seating areas and even a section where you're able to enjoy cigars. I mean, what a way to unwind and relax. They offer delicious small bites (like flat breads and charcuterie) and complimentary tastings. Their staff are super knowledgeable and welcoming, that you'll feel like you're visiting a friend or relative's house. It's such a great getaway, from the city that you may not want to go back home! Lol They also provide a mini store inside, so you can feel free to load up, before heading home. There are some bottles that are exclusive to this tasting room, so it's an extra incentive to go there. Cheers!

Yelp
When you have connections Brunch in the Bubble If you haven't been, check out their bubbles, you won't be disappointed. Great bubbly, tasty food, friendly service (Ask for the Bubble General!)
