Amazing venue and opportunity for up and coming artists. I’ve been twice now and every time is an inspiring experience! So much new talent and fun entertainment. The venue itself is so unique and vintage. There’s downstairs seating and upstairs with 2 bathrooms as well. There is a 2 drink minimum but they have mocktails and can sub one set of drinks with a set of snack if needed. I go for Mike Geffner’s Inspired Words showcases and they’re always a hit! I love the Triad as well, the staff is very kind and welcoming.

The theatre is really small, and it’s on the second floor of a restaurant. It took me a while to figure it out and thanks to some guy in the street helped me out. Other than that, the staffs were nice, friendly, and professional

Awful venue. View blocked. In physical pain from bumping my head in bathroom which had short slanted ceiling with no warning. Waitress pulled me out of the theater mid show to talk to me when it could’ve been handled before. Countering something the venue told me on the phone when I booked my ticket. Different people at the venue told me different things were okay vs not. I missed a solid 5 minutes of the show I paid full price for with no compensation or apologies when they pulled me out. I couldn’t enjoy the rest of the show. Then the people behind us were talking the whole time and didn’t like that I politely asked them not to, and the waitress wasn’t around then to talk to about it. However other waiters walk right in the way of the action and block the performance. They also serve crinkly potato chip bags that make so much noise, I missed a decent amount of the jokes said because of it. Other guests heads were in the way of my view. Poor sight lines. Let people in late. Started late. Had garbage being tossed through the line of people waiting to get in. Almost got garbage on us. Poor timing for it. Never returning. Night was ruined. My date was also frazzled by me being pulled out. Also $25 food and beverage minimum and the drinks are priced to go to at least $35 to make that purchase + tip. + the $60 tickets. I could get a Broadway show for cheaper and better experience.

Apart from the venue failing to be accessible. The food and drink minimum and limited menu leave so much to be desired $25 unlimited soda and 1 snack deal was a rip off. Ended up with 2 sodas and i bag of chips. Menu could have been far better and expanded with the restaurant downstairs. Don’t recommend the balcony seats. It’s not comfortable at all. Definitely not a hidden gem.

What a beautiful and cozy theater gem on the UWS! I’ve been there several times for live music variety shows put on by Four Hands Collective. Such talented and friendly musicians! Wow! You do not want to miss the next show they have there! The snacks and drinks they offer hit the spot. The house manager Hannah Celeste was friendly and welcoming and attentive to the needs of all around, including both the audience members and the performers. And everything was organized and well run. Such a beautiful, Moulin Rouge style theater.

Got invited to the Triad Theater tonight by The Traid to come for a free evening to see Janeane Garafalo tape a TV special. These people couldn’t be dumber. We got turned away because they oversold it and we got there early. Many people got turned away. I witnessed two fights to see a washed up comic. The producers were dumb and the people who run the Triad are as well. They couldn’t have handled this any worse. The hostess started letting people in only to be admonished by the manger because she shouldn’t have let “that list” in. She let someone in and stopped her friend from joining her. The place is a fire trap as well so overselling is just an accident waiting to happen. They also couldn’t be any ruder during the process. Total fail. No customer service and the place should just close and re-open under new management.

One of my favorite theaters, the vibe and the people here are absolutely amazing , I’m never disappointed any time I’m at the triad !!

Google
Its a charming theater, but could be better, I have been here twice. the balcony seats suck because there's a big light in the way, and some of the drinks are disgusting particularly one of the mocktails(lemon juice tasted vile) get bottled stuff and don't be late!

Yelp
This is such a wonderful theater. I've seen theater, music, and recently saw a film on their new screen. Very comfortable, great sound system and all the shows I've seen are wonderful. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. I love that there is such a beautiful space on the UWS for theater in the neighborhood.

Gaurav K.

Yelp
A wonderful, intimate theater with cozy vibes and excellent sound! I've had the pleasure of seeing incredible artists like Hannah Celeste, Matt Baker, and Izze Stein perform here, and every experience has been exceptional. The perfect lighting and top-notch acoustics make every show feel magical. Plus, Hannah isn't just a phenomenal performer -- she's also an amazing house manager who helps make every event run smoothly. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you're in the UWS area!

Yelp
I came here last night to support a friend who was performing. The show was Voices Carry NY Cabaret. What a fun show this was to watch. Everyone was so good and brought different vibes to the show. I enjoyed the show very much! On the other hand the service was I am not even sure how to describe it. I sat with two friends we were in the back in a comfy booth which was fine. In back of us was also a bigger actual booth. And there were tables in front of us. well it took a while for our waiter to take our order. But the table in back and in front of us had their orders placed already. And we were there on the early side. So finally he came around to our table took our order..fine. Well it took a pretty long time for our drinks to come out. Mind you this was only for the first round of the 2 drink minimum they have at this place. And friends I was sitting with and I did not order drinks that should take THAT long. Friend 1 got a cider which doesn't come with a glass just in a can. Friend 2 ordered a Prosecco and hot tea. I ordered a Roxy which was Prosecco with a little gin, lavender and lemon I think. Well show is about to start and friend 1 and 2 drink comes. No sign of mine. My friend gave me her glass of Prosecco as my drink was probably not coming. We also asked for a round of waters ( how long can that take?!) Well ends up I went to go to the back to the bar area as I saw our waiter back there and asked where my drink was. The bartender said he had made it and neither of them knew where it went. So that was a tad strange. So then I go sit down and like 4 min later my drink comes. I tasted it and it was pretty bad and tasted just like the regular glass of Prosecco. I was a bit confused. But glad it finally got to me. Than 10 min pass by and still one of my friends and I had not been served water. I go back to the bar area and the bartender in a sort of rude tone said I can't take your order sorry. And I was like I just want water but ok. And he said oh you just wanted water well that I can do. I asked for two and he gave me two. So the show ends and now it's time to pay. I told our waiter how late my drink came and it probably wouldn't even came if I did not go up to him and ask for it myself. And I told him my friend gave me her prosecco so that could be on my bill. He seemed not to really understand how we felt about the service and he did take off 5.00 from my bill. Ok a little nice gesture. And I said listen my drink was very late and he said how understaffed they were and how crowded it was. Yes I know it was a sold out show and yes I only saw 2 or maybe 3 waiters but when you see tables around you being served their second rounds of drinks and food I mean come on. And no one came by to ask if we need anything. He also did not say like sorry for long wait or sorry I didnt bring you the rest of your waters. I mean yes we are all human and forget things and yes it was very understaffed but as I just said I saw how other tables were getting their things with no problem.

Yelp
I came here to see an Off-Broadway musical that I had heard about in Instagram called "Swan Lake Rock Opera". I had never been to this theater before but I was unimpressed on how disorganized and small the entrance was. There wasn't much space to make a line for the "will call" area so I lined up on the stairs. The staff announced 30 minutes before the show started that they were going to check confirmation numbers but as I got near the booth, I found out that some people had already been checked in and others like myself hadn't and I ended up having to step aside. Then when I finally got in, I learned 2 things: There is a 2-drink minimum that requires you to spend at least $25 and that it's a pick your own seat kind of theater except for some of the reserved tables in the front. I was surprised with the set-up. I thought it was like every other theater but this one has tables and the seats are elevated so there isn't one bad seat in the house. I ended up being able to sit close to the stage and ordered a glass of Rose and a Coca-Cola. I had overheard a waitress describe the most delicious fries to a group in front of me so I ended up making the same order. The waitress must be studying marketing because she knew how to sell those fries, which ended up being plain okay and really expensive for $14. The decoration of the stage set the mood for the show along with the low-dimmed lighting. And what can I say about the show? I didn't know what to expect but I am so glad that I ended up going. It is the most interesting version of the Swan Lake I've ever seen. It was funny, naughty, and mind-blowing, especially when the performers would sing their lungs off. Wow! I had never really enjoyed the ballet version because I couldn't understand the story but this show was so engaging in the development of its story. And another surprise was that there were small moments in which the actors would interact with the audience, and if you follow my Yelp reviews, then you know by now that immersion is my jam. So the menu might have been overpriced, but the tickets to the show were quite cheap on Goldstar, which I got for $25 so it is supposed to balance each other out. At least I can say that I enjoyed my time at the theater so no regrets on how much I spent tonight.

Yelp
Just adorable cabaret style theater, perfect size and seating for an intimate crowd. Tiered short levels so that there is not a bad seat in the house..sat all the way up front in a handsome burgundy leather banquette.. Great acoustics, very efficient service for drinks as there is a 2 drink min...the Old Fashioned made me GASP...uggg..each sip I would shake my head. A friend was playing with a small band, but they have many diverse shows here..I can see the space used for any small gathering wanting a stage/lighting. Right on 72nd Street around the corner from the subway/Gray's Papaya.

Yelp
The staff here are phenomenal. As a performer, I cannot recommend it enough. From the amazing sound skills of JP to the hospitality of Russell to the beautiful film and editing work of Jonathan, this is truly a team who cares and does quality work. JP went above and beyond for sound and tech for us. Everyone in the audience said the lights and sound were really good, and they loved the theater (as do we). They are very honest about their 2 drink min (helps keep the place open and you happy ;-)). Only thing they're missing is a big sign out front! A theater of this caliber deserves a great audience and a great big sign! Perfect for shows of all kinds: cabaret, singer songwriter concerts, rock bands, small plays, solo shows and more. Note to musicians: Excellent backline! Sound tech, JP, is incredible. He goes above and beyond. He's been in the business for decades. I'd definitely come back here again.

Yelp
I absolutely love the Triad theater. Such a nice cozy and intimate space with mighty sound and lighting equipment. Both Peter and Russell are an absolute pleasure and joy to work with. There's nothing better than having management and staff that are easy and so pleasant to work with. They truly understand the needs and requirements of an artist to have an amazing show. Looking forward to continue working with this dynamic duo. Sending a special thanks from Melodious (Serina G., Denize, Kisha, & Dolly)

Yelp
Our group had another show at The Triad yesterday and it was the best yet. Russell always takes amazing care of us - and we have 25+ performers and a packed house - so we need all the quality support we can get when it's show time! Our performers always feel like they're coming home when we have our seasonal show here - and it's all thanks to the amazing team from booking (Gene) to day of (Russell, Phillip and Ben) and the amazing waitstaff and bartenders (thanks for coming early Sally!). From opening up early (11:30!!) on a Sunday so we could start setting up, to helping us wrap our show in time (we had 17 numbers) before the next performers came in - everything was seamless. Even as we grow in numbers, we know we will always come back to perform here because they are the best in business and treat us so well. Can't wait to see you all again in March!

Yelp
This is my second time renting this venue for shows. Peter has always been helpful and very accommodating. Always happy to help with answering the gazillion questions we about the venue. The newest addition to the staff Russel (venue manger) was an absolute darling! He was so helpful with the lighting and helping my friends and i with the general layout of the venue. I would recommend this venue to others.

Michael David B.

Yelp
Everything hit the spot. Music/Food/Drinks/ and especially service. Special Thanks to Russell for his above and beyond service. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Love this place. Will absolutely be going again..

Yelp
Have performed there several times and it's an amazing venue. It's tough to find another theater this size that feels so big and professional. If you're looking to put on a show in NYC, you should definitely inquire and see if it's right for you!

Yelp
Amazing theater andive music venue! I went yesterday to see 2 great performances and I was blown away by the acoustics as well as by the staff who was so acomodating and engaged. Looking forward to seeing the next show.

Yelp
Nice, well-run theater with efficient staff, but who the heck decided to serve french fries in a very noisy paper cone? Be prepared to listen to crinkling every time someone reaches into the cone to grab more fries. Very distracting.

Dalia D.

Yelp
Always a good time at the Triad Theater. Fun atmosphere. Great performances, service is excellent, from the waiters, bartenders and management. A special thanks to Russell Moss who went above and beyond for making it a wonderful experience.

Lori A.

Yelp
I have been to the Triad many times, but I just had to write about my experience today. I was late and stressed due to a parking situation (not the Triad's fault, obviously) and the moment I entered Russell and Danny made me feel so welcome. Seriously, their kindness went way above and beyond. The show was great, but my experience was perfect because of the staff, especially those two. I feel like I now have a new "home" on the UWS and I can't wait to go back. For such a legendary spot to still care about greeting and treating its customers like they matter, they will forever get my business. I look forward to seeing a show there soon.

Yelp
If you are looking for a Christmas outing - or just a fun evening definitely SKIP the Triad Theater's Christmas comedy show. My daughter and I were in town to celebrate the holiday weekend and wanted to do something Christmas related. Chose the atTtiad because they advertised the show as a Christmas Comedy. 4 comics and 3 were so bad it was uncomfortable to watch. Not one joke relating to Christmas or the holidays in general. 2 drink minimum- ordered the first and they tasted so bad neither of us could drink them. Ended up being billed $55 for the two they served us because they still had to charge for 4. Absolute waste of a night in New York and a complete waste of money.

Yelp
Wonderful venue. Great acoustics and the seats are statically placed so that every audience member can see the band and the headline singer. This night I saw blues artist Carole Sylvan. Ms. Sylvan had the rhythm popping and when she sang Southern-themed songs it was like going to church. I other words she was crisp & juicy. The service was polite and friendly.

Yelp
I came here last night to see my best friend sing in a cabaret show. I am in the theater scene in NY, but I have never heard of or been to the Triad. I am so happy a went! It is one of the cutest cabaret-type spaces I have been to in the city. So many times, these types of venues are super cramped and do not feel like a real theater. This definitely did not have that feeling. I also like that you could sit wherever you wanted and there were lots of tables for two. The tickets were $10 online and $15 at the door, plus a two drink minimum. I am not sure if this is the norm, but it was the case last night. The drinks were definitely overpriced, which is why I took a star off. I understand that that is usually the case at places like this, but the drinks were a lot for what they were, in my opinion. I had 2 vodka sodas and they were $12 each. Something nice was that they let you get a non-alcoholic beverage or a snack item if you don't drink or are underage. They take your first and second drink order before the show starts and bring one before the show starts and one in the middle. I thought that was great! The waitstaff was efficient and moved quickly so they did not distract from the show. If other shows here interest me, I would definitely come back here!

Wendy R.

Yelp
I've walked past this building dozens of times but never realized this theatre existed. I'm so glad I found out about it! The Cougar musical was so entertaining I didn't want it to end. I was fine with the two drink minimum but the best part about my martini was the olive. The liquid portion of the drink was a poor imitation of anything resembling alcohol. For $18, I expected a my martini to taste like one. I was also frustrated that the server went by so many times without taking my order and only got around to me well after the show had started. I really want to come back for future shows, but i just can't get over the poor drink I was served. Do better, Triad.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed the production of Trump family special on Thursday nights. Extremely talented cast of singers/dancers/comedians. Well worth the price. Theater is air conditioned, we had comfortable seats, and my double vodka was really a triple ( only an hour and 15 minute show, so had to double down lol) Fun evening, showed up three minutes before show time but they squeezed us in.

Yelp
My wife and I were visiting New York and staying on the upper West Side. After a day of seeing the sites, we wanted to experience some live theater that didn't involve heading down town. We ended up at the Triad Theater and couldn't have been happier. The Triad Theater sits above some restaurants on 72nd Street. It is intimate and recently refurbished. Seating is at tables and booths (I was told it had been a dinner theater) . Lots of room, and a full bar. Besides your tickets, they have a 2 drink minimum. We were there for the "Trump Family Special". It was hilarious, and the drinks didn't hurt... The play was great, and the performances were really top rate. Increadible how much talent is rolling around this town!

Yelp
Nice Theatre, cool diner like comfy seating. Do not get seated in side balcony seats, could only see 1/3 of the show. They should be discounted obstructed view. You have been warned!

Yelp
I've had terrific and greatly entertaining experiences at the Triad Theater in NYC. It's a beautiful jewel box and versatile theater and performance space. I've seen many different kinds of shows there e.g. Cabaret Performances, Film and Multi-Media Shows and Events, Jazz Singers and Bands. The sound and lighting I might add is superb and really 1st rate which is unusually sophisticated for a smaller venue to have such great technical features. Staff there are very personable and accommodating which makes one feel very welcome. I'm a NY'er and have been to my share of venues and this one rates high among the best of them.

The Trident has always been our favorite. The recent show lived up to our expectations. The staff as always was gracious and accommodating. The manager Russ Moss was especially attentive, The Trident is fortunate to have such an employee. Mary J Bochroch Charles K

Yelp
This review is a two star for one reason alone... the drinks are awful. Cocktails so bad that I set a reminder to post a yelp review when I got back to LA. In fact, I almost left a one-star review, but I don't want to throw your stars off too much because the show was awesome. The theater and show (the 12 divas) was TERRIFIC -- go see it. The actress and her friends sing their little hearts out. Absolute fun! The theater itself is adorable. Now, back to the drinks. There is a two-drink minimum and I have no problem with that. The first drink I ordered was a coke... literally a coca-cola. I don't know when that coke syrup was changed, but it was so disgusting I couldn't finish the glass. Please do a taste test before you serve. I upgraded my next order for a gin and tonic with good gin. Dear god! Someone buy a cocktail recipe book for the bar. A gin and tonic is one shot gin, three shots tonic - a slice of lime and that's it. It was dreadful. Probably the worse gin and tonic ever made... in the history of mankind. Our entire table left almost full drinks - Some backstory, I love a good cocktail. I also love mediocre cocktails.... and being that I was on vacation, I would have surely ordered more than two cocktails (they are tiny!). I couldn't even get through half of one. And you know how drinking gets easier as you get drunk.... not so much here. Every sip was even worse than the last. I felt really bad for the talent.... they worked their asses off getting people in the door and gave us a great show. But the terrible drinks make it impossible to return. One thing I have learned about traveling to NYC is that New Yorkers like you to be as direct as possible. So this two-star review is for the manager and the bartender... you are single handily killing this theater. Now I'm not sure if this was the full-time bartender or a fill in. Maybe the waitress had to do double duty that night. Whatever the case.... it's the manager's fault for not having a good bartender (or even thinking customers deserve that) and the "bartender's" fault for not googling a recipe. Please invest your time in teaching your bartenders basic cocktails --- even if you only offer two signature drinks... do them really well. Everyone will come back -- your actors will be happy. The theater will make money.... win win win! Until things change - order a bottled water and save yourself the money and taste buds.

Yelp
Went last night to see The Bitchy Waiter show. THe place is super small and very hot. We only waited like 10 mins and were shown to our seats. You are basically sitting on top of each other its very small. The theater was built i 1936 so its very vintage and cool looking. The show was amazing our server was great and we had a blast. BTW its a bit hard to find. Its located on the second level of some Turkish restaurant. And anyone that is complaining about a 2 drink minimum is a just a cheap asshole. Stay home if you can't afford it. Seriously,,,its NYC you morons
google avatar

Norma F.

Yelp
I love the theatre, I was there for Jonny Rosch and Friends which were superb. Thank you. The only reason I gave only 3 stars is because the show was free with no cover, but before we sat we were approached by two waitresses to buy drinks before goi g upstairs and just when we sat the hostess lady came with a bucket for donations. I mean Im good with having a drink and donate money, but not cool with harassment before I even get a chance to sit down and enjoy the band. Is tacky. I know is probably what they are told to do, and I get it, is their job, but it will be best to offer drinks while people are seated and passing the bucket after people have enjoyed some music

Yelp
I hosted and produced a stand up comedy and live music show called #UptownComedyJam at their venue last night. AMAZING THEATRE!!!! I am born and raised in the bronx and have been producing events for over a decade in music and comedy and I've heard and seen events but never taken the steps to do an event until last night. The staff were a great help, especially Russell. He really helped and made sure everything was accomodated and ran smoothly. The bar & waitstaff was on point making sure the guest orders came and went in a timely fashion. Ben was great to work with on sound (I think I need him on every event of mines there in the future, he really know his stuff). Overall the show was a success and I am looking forward to bringing more productions here. If you haven't already please go and check out this place it's a gem! -Joe Hill Comedian | Writer | Producer www.thisisjoehill.com

Yelp
The Triad is a terrific venue with a great, attentive staff! I brought my mom, who is elderly, to a show recently and Russ made sure we were comfortably accomodated. What nice people! What a dynamite space! Excellent NYC experience!

Yelp
Not a fan of this theater. No way no how. First off, the ticket was $60-$70. Now, I know that the theater doesn't set the ticket price, but if you are paying that much, the venue should know to lower the drinks prices or, at the very least, serve some appetizers, especially if events start at 10pm and end at 2am. Drunk people equals hungry people. Second, they said in their email and when we got there, that performances would begin at 11pm. They started at 12:15am. That is not cool for people like me whose bedtimes are usually 12am! We were getting impatient and I was in no mood to mingle for an hour and 15 minutes. If you say you will start at a certain time, be a professional and start at that certain time. When the show finally started, I couldn't even see anything because of the way the theater is set up. There are a few booths in the front but those get filled up immediately. And because this space is SUPER CRAMPED, everyone stands in front of you in a very tight crowd. So if you are standing in the back half of the room, unless you are 6 feet tall, you won't see squat. So there goes the money you paid for the show that you won't even see. And last, the show wasn't even good. I've seen burlesque shows. They are supposed to be smooth, sexy, and fun. The performers were nice girls, but they sucked at the burlesque part. They were awkward and clunky. It was utterly painful to watch. Girls, don't quit your day jobs. If you're invited to an event here, I suggest you skip it.

Phillip B.

Yelp
What a ridiculous excuse for a theatre. Unbelievably tiny, cramped and inadequate. Difficult to even see the stage or hear the dialogue from many seats. Patrons are basically squares in a Tetris game. They were so late and disorganized seating people that "first come, first serve" meant little. 2 drink minimum, a policy that's revealed after ticket purchase. $7 for a club soda. When it came to this, suddenly they were the picture of efficiency... You're also required to download an app to retrieve your tickets that doesn't actually exist. And after trying to figure it out the venue was ultimately checking people in from a printed out piece of paper, no ticket required. Clearly they couldn't figure out the app either. Also seems they overbook the theatre. In addition to everyone cramped in the available seats, there were people standing behind us basically breathing down our necks. Disappointing to see so many phony reviews here providing padding for high ratings.

Cornelia R.

Yelp
I don't often write reviews, but when an experience is this bad, I have to warn people. The show might be good (although the one I saw was not.) The decor might be elegant... But the overall experience is, as my date put it, "excruciating." If you don't get a banquette, you'll sit in an uncomfortable wooden chair packed around tiny tables. There's a 2-drink minimum with $18 for an alcoholic drink. A $25 non-alcoholic option is basically 2 sodas and a bag of chips. The limited snack options are mostly plastic wrapped, as if they came from a deli. And the wait-service (at least the waiter) is atrocious. I got there 1/2 hour early when it was practically empty. He asked if I wanted to "settle the bill upfront." I did and gave a 25% tip. Despite this, my drink took almost 45 minutes to arrive. When I asked politely if it was on its way, the waiter said, "You'll get it when you get it." An hour after I ordered it (and halfway through the show), the plate of hummus (one of only three things not wrapped in plastic) I'd ordered finally arrived. I produced a comedy show here many years ago but I don't remember it being like this at all. Sad, because it's the only cabaret spot on the UWS. A few small changes - better management of waitstaff, a few decent food options - even carrots & celery with the hummus instead of stale pita bread - could make a big difference.

Yelp
This is a great and stylish venue offering interesting performances. I previously had complained that the seating was too tight and uncomfortable, and the Triad responded to the concerns from me and others by removing seats from the theater to make it a lot more comfortable. I appreciate a business that listens!

Yelp
I came here last night to see a dear friends show! Looove this gem of a theatre! Comfy seating, great sound! Affordable cocktails! The staff rocks! A+++ service our waitress was awesome! Would recommend coming here to experience a fun show and a great atmosphere! Also the owner/manager was phenomenal! So accommodating to our group!

Yelp
I loved working with the team at the Triad. We staged a charity gig here and the staff could not have been more helpful, professional and accommodating. Everything from booking the venue to the stage setup and the stellar video recording went incredibly smoothly. Having a proper green room for the performers to hang out in between sets was a major bonus! The audience loved the comfortable cabaret seating and the table service on drinks and food. All in all it made for a very enjoyable evening!

Yelp
I came to see Broadway's Next Hit Musical - which was amazing, brilliant and hilarious (I can't wait to see it again!) The tickets aren't cheap and then they slap an overpriced drink minimum on top?? $7 for a water? No thanks.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the Triad. It's located on the second floor of a building and shares space with a Turkish restaurant downstairs. If I had known, I would've had dinner at the restaurant before the show, but it's all good. Pro tip: I snagged a "last row balcony" ticket for "Spamilton" for $28, which was a huge steal. While I have been in nosebleed seats before at bigger venues (Shea Stadium, Barclays Center, Avery-Fisher-which-I-believe-is-now-David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center), the last rows of this theatre are still good quality seats, and you can see the stage quite clearly. The space is a bit tight, cuz it was constructed at the turn of the 20th century, but hey, I like that the waiters come to you for drink orders instead of you waiting in a longass snaking line during Broadway shows (Shots fired at all the theaters, fight me). There is a two drink minimum for groups of two or more. If you're flying solo like I was, that gets dropped to a one drink minimum. Normally I prefer stuff on the rocks, but I was really craving something sweet, and their white chocotini hit the spot. Finally, I loved this space because you can see the nooks and crannies in making a show happen. I think having seen a lot of polished, Broadway shows where it seems so effortless (but really it's a crazy production and is a LOT of logistics), there's a sense of preparation on a smaller scale that lends its charm. I'll be back for another show.

Yelp
Came here last night to see Spamilton with a close friend, so this review will include the show AND venue experience. Upon arrival, everyone was relatively friendly and accommodating, but the line for entry started getting longer, and soon there was a huge traffic jam down the stairs and out the door. Not a great way to begin a theatre experience. Then, we were guided up to seats on the balcony level, where I had the challenge of attempting to balance my lanky frame on the world's smallest, creakiest wooden stool, with little to no leg room. Like, I can't be the first one over 5'5" to come here, right? The drink minimum was expected, but still painful-two cokes ran up a tab of 13$-not ideal on top of an already pricey night out. The show itself was clever, but lacked the spark I was hoping for-no fault of the talented cast, it was just an overplayed and lackluster script.

Yelp
The Triad is a neighborhood gem! The staff are wonderfully accommodating and the venue is chic and comfortable. If you haven't seen a show there...theater or music...put it on your to do list! If you are a group of performers in need of a venue, you could not find a more supportive or accommodating place. Bravo, Triad!

Yelp
Wonderful venue! Go see a show! Two drink minimum, had to chug the 2nd drink because it was brought at the end of the show.

Yelp
Visited the Triad last night for my friend's cabaret. Great space & hospitality. Perfect for 60-70 people and a one woman show. Loved it!

Yelp
The music was great, but the wine selection is really terrible for the prices they charge. They charge $19 per small glass for a no name sav blanc and $68 for bottles of no name whites!! Ridiculous! The music is great, but just have a cocktail. I am sure the prices for red wine is just as bad for wine you have never heard of.

Yelp
What a great little theatre that I would have never known about! It's situated above a restaurant and certainly doesn't look like a space for a theatre. Well, as you go upstairs, you realize that seating is limited, but can comfortably fit 50 or so I think. It's an intimate space but has all the comforts of any other marquis theatre. The decor is beautiful and exudes all the charm and glamour of an old world theater, in a smaller size. The staff is friendly and efficient and they offer full bar service. You'll usually find one person shows here which are amazing. It's a great opportunity to find excellent entertainment is a warm and cozy environment away from the tourists and crowds.

Yelp
If you haven't been, you should try it. I went to see my friend perform and was quite taken. The Triad is not your usual big venue but, it is warm, cozy and a chilled atmosphere; the drinks are flowing and food. The manager, Russ is super attentive and ensures that everyone is taken care of. I would definitely go back and I recommend it. Quite charming and I absolutely loved it Pat
