Trianon in downtown Alexandria is a great vintage spot with fantastic vibes and beautiful old decorations that take you back in time. The staff is friendly and welcoming, with a special shoutout to Hegazy, who provided exceptional service and made the experience even more enjoyable. However, the food could use some improvement. I tried the Egyptian breakfast, and unfortunately, it was below average, I expected better in terms of taste and quality. Prices are on the higher side, but given the unique experience of dining at one of the oldest restaurants in the city, it’s somewhat justified. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the nostalgic atmosphere and great service, but don’t go in with high expectations for the food.

Trianon: A Classic Alexandria Breakfast Stepping into Trianon is like stepping back in time. This venerable restaurant exudes vintage charm, offering a delightful atmosphere for a leisurely breakfast. Located in the heart of Mahatet El Raml, one of Alexandria's most historic areas, Trianon offers a glimpse of the city's past, with the Saad Zaghloul statue visible nearby. My recent breakfast experience at Trianon was truly enjoyable. The food was excellent, particularly the fresh pastries. The croissants were buttery and fluffy, a testament to their quality, and the pâtisserie was equally delicious. It's clear that Trianon prioritizes freshness and flavor. The ambiance was further enhanced by the wonderful classic music playing softly in the background, creating a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere. It's the perfect place to enjoy a conversation and savor your meal. While the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the overall classy experience. Trianon is not your everyday breakfast spot; it's a place to treat yourself to a special meal in a unique setting. If you're looking for a memorable breakfast in a historic and elegant setting, Trianon is definitely worth a visit.

This place is awesome if you’re into vintage style places. It has beautiful art pieces on the walls. A piano playing in the background and warm lighting. Absolutely wonderful. I tried a dessert but I didn’t like it that much. I’ll go again to try something else so I can be fair 😊 loved it tho!!

Trianon Café, established in 1905 includes visits from Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum, whose portrait still adorns the wall, and Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz, a regular patron in the 1940s and 1950s. During the 1919 Revolution, Trianon served as a meeting spot for activists and intellectuals discussing Egypt’s future. Additionally, President Gamal Abdel Nasser was known to frequent the café, with his favorite table preserved in his memory. I liked it better than Cafe De La Paix because the café was better and the salad tasted better than the food that I got

One of my favorite spots in Alex. The ambience is so comforting you feel you have travelled back in time. Very warm and quite ambience to the place with professional staff. The food quality and portions were great too.

It's an old, famous Cafe. With a signature dessert called Baba and chocolate with hazelnut and caramelized sugar. The place is spacious with antique furniture. The coffee was quite average and the food was also the same. It's a must visit if you're looking for those types of vibes!!
