Nature and Parks in São Paulo

"Parque Trianon is a small park off the bustling Avenida Paulista. It contains many plants native to the Mata Atlântica rainforest, an ecosystem which stretches along the Atlantic coast of Brazil. The park is the perfect place for a short break from the nonstop city life. Bring a book and spend a couple of hours here, hidden beneath the green canopy. The park is open every day, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As the park is in one of the busiest areas of the city, be sure to keep a close eye on your belongings." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Gorgeous George is a renovated boutique hotel right in the heart of the city. It easy to get around but the neighborhood can feel a bit off at night, so you just need to stay cautious. The hotel itself is gorgeous and spotlessly clean, with a really friendly team that makes you feel right at home. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast! We spent 5 days in Cape Town, and each morning I was eagerly anticipating the delicious spread. Highly recommended!

Very huge and green city park. Once you're inside, it doesn't feel like you're in a busy city. Good place to hangout and relax. Interesting concept of crossing the bridge over roads to the next half of the park. Playground for kids as well as free water machine that offers cold or room temperature.

A great respite from the hustle and bustle of the busy central São Paulo core. It’s a beautiful large urban park that has massive trees and lots of birds. There are plenty of benches strategically placed throughout the park to sit and enjoy the lush vegetation and/or the beautiful songbirds. Grab a takeaway coffee or bite to eat nearby and come enjoy its serenity. The vegetation is high enough to almost obscure the adjacent high rises.

Right in middle of towering buildings is this beautiful piece of rainforest jungle. The massive trees actually give you a feel of being in a forest. It's a really beautiful place.

Nice benches and resting areas. Kids have 2 playgrounds. No washrooms but nearby small park (5min walk) has one!

…......Right in the heart of the business & residential area you will find this gem of a place it’s more of an encounter then an experience! When you enter here you’re overwhelmed by the sheer acknowledgment that this is paradise. And it’s been here since 1892 since it was opened, this year they celebrated 127 years of existence. Even the air you breathe in here in different. What an extraordinary idea it was to preserve a small portion of what was here when the founders arrived in the area of São Paulo almost 500 plus years ago, lush Atlantic tropical dense forest. The municipality has taken great pains and effort to create a park par excellence. It’s super clean and the pathways are more like roads beautifully and very professional paved with crushed off-white rocks or some-kind of a tile. It’s easy to move around in here even if you’re elder-lii, disabled in a wheelchair. Children can safe-lii run around and they even have a playground for just that. You will even find security personal patrolling the park so it’s very during the day when visiting here. There are lots of benches placed around the park to take breaks. Lots of statues on display although the name-tags are well worn-out so it not always easy to know who they represent or what part they played in the history of São Paulo but never-the-less they do add character to the park. There is also a statue of a Faun inside near the main entrance and at the main entrance off Paulista Avenue is a huge statue of a Brazilian explorer. There are lots of banners depicting the by-gone years and what took place here. The park is massive and if I’m not mistaken I do remember our tour guide Fabio mentioning that this park occupies about 48000 square meters of land. It is such an iconic and spectacular area that is so much a part of São Paulo set aside for everybody to see and enjoy. This park has some major roads running through it and has walkway bridges across them for the public to access and move around free-lii. The entrance-fee to this park is free of charge. This is a must visit when in Sao Paulo, Brazil…………NB! By the way at the main entrance on the pavement they have a street market selling foods, hand-made goods and different kinds of jewelry. An Art-Gallery is also to be found right opposite the park’s main entrance………..

Hard to do grounding here. They only have three spots that you can seat and put your feet on the ground. The other seats, you have to put your feet on top of the iced rocks! They need a neuroarchitect that understands human needs!

Nice walk in a jungle type atmosphere in the middle of the city.

Yelp
Such a beautiful city park! This is the perfect place to chill and relax with friends after spending the morning at the MASP or shopping on Avenue Paulista. I really enjoyed the big trees that cast lots of shade: a must for staying cool on hot days in Sampa!

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place in all of Sao Paulo! Everyone talks about Parque Ibirapuera, which of course is amazing, but Trianon is so quiet and peaceful - a real refuge from the hustle and bustle of Av. Paulista, just a few feet away. Step into this park and it's like going back in time. The native trees are absolutely gorgeous and so calming. To me, spending time here is better than a trip to the spa! I used to come here almost every day when I lived in Jardins. I miss it! Of course, amidst the tranquil beauty, there are often musicians, speakers, rallies, and all kinds of other exciting events. There is also a cute dog park nextdoor (the best time to go is around 5:00 p.m. for "doggy happy hour") and a small arts fair on weekends right by the main entrance to the park.

Yelp
If you're looking for safe play equipment go to Parque de Povo... If you have kids aged 2+ they'll love this oasis of cool green and hard sand in a sea of concrete. If you want somewhere for your toddler to play this place is a disappointment of broken playground equipment and the fun police who will stop you from sitting on the swing with them. But broken equipment is better than nothing! Great place to come and use the open-air gym in the morning and catch up on the local gossip with the regulars who frequent the park.

Yelp
Parque Tenente Siqueira Campos (Also known as Trianon Park) is a peaceful beautiful rainforest oasis located in the heart of the city center of São Paulo located off the busy Avenues Paulista. The park is calm, lush, and quiet...a great escape from the concrete jungle of the mega-city. The sidewalks/trails are beautiful for walking or running. There are sculptures, benches, and playground equipment. A gorgeous place to escape and unwind. There is a street market on Sunday by the entrance selling food and artisan crafts.

Yelp
Clean. Safe. . Interesting. Trianon park is located off Paulista in the middle of the busy business district.
