Tribeca Hotel FiDi

It’s beyond me how this hotel has any decent reviews for the cost. Yes the location is great, but everything else was not. My room was unclean and exceptionally run down. The room I had did not accurately reflect the photos on their website. Cleanliness: there was hair clumps all over the bathroom walls, the toilet was not clean (feces on the side of the bowl), every corner of the room had a collection of dirt and dust. There was no rug, just a cold concrete floor. My window was jammed open so night 1 was very loud… they did fix this when asked. There is no safe in the rooms, and my door’s lock felt insufficient. If you’re only looking for a place to crash, this may be fine, but if you plan to or have to spend any time in the room - book elsewhere.

Was pleasantly surprised by the service & personal attention that we received. Young & energetic staff - very caring & supporting. Rooms freshly renovated minimalistic but adequate for tourists. Location is amazing in terms of accessibility to key touristic spots & Subway / Uber access. Choice of eating spots from value to culinary experience. Enjoyed our short stay. Happy to return.

Stayed there for 9 nights in August,very pleased,room had full size fridge freezer, kitchenette with microwave,AC,TV,WIFI,shower and was clean also a balcony with table and two chairs,didn't give any great views but it's a balcony in NYC and was great to just sit outside and eat. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location close to subway and lots of food shops,O'Haras bar is a must. Also close to twin towers memorial museum,well worth a visit,I would stay here again.👍👍👍

Great location for the hotel. The room was pretty good size but in poor condition and dirty. Clearly was not cleaned. Wet dirty towels were hanging on the shower door, crumbs on the nightstand, and the bathroom and room floors were dirty. 2 out of the 4 pillows were not usable. They had dirt streaks and a red greasy mark. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator but the microwave had food splatters in it and the fridge and like spilled juice. Air-conditioned worked well and staff was friendly. Maybe I just got a bad room. Probably won't stay there again unless it's a really good deal. I see from other reviews that early check-in costs vary. I paid $25 for about 45min-1hr

Cheap place to stay and good location, other than that it can be challenging to get any sleep because of the noises from the surroundings and very thin walls between the rooms. I would bring earplugs and some slippers because the concrete floor can be a bit sticky. Luckily we didn't experience any problems with water on the floor around the ac unit, like other guests has written about. And we had hot water. So i guess as long as your expectations is not that high you will have an ok stay. We stayed for two nights.

From what I can tell, experience varies based on room. Our comforter and mattress protector smelled off and I asked the person at the desk if we could get a fresh one, and they brought us and entire linen change no questions asked! Fantastic and convenient location, friendly staff, good amount of storage, well working ac, decent size mini fridge, smart tv, clean bathroom.

Honestly I am so impressed with this hotel, which used to be a college dorm. With space so limited in NYC, and prices so high, I was shocked to find a large room at an affordable rate for my first trip to the big apple for Christmas. We were warned when booking that the floors were still just concrete but hey, that's more hygienic than carpet - no complaints (it also made for easy cleanup of snowy boots)! Upon arrival, staff had to buzz us in, which we appreciated regarding safety (someone was always there when we would come and go, we were never stuck waiting, although there is a buzzer if needed). We were also able to pay a very small fee for early check in so we could ditch our bags early and begin exploring. We were also never stuck waiting long on an elevator since there's not a ton of rooms here like the traditional huge hotels. I love that it's typically quieter here than the hustle and bustle of Times Square. There's a great bar a couple doors down (excellent specials & staff), subway entrance steps away, and Liberty Bagel (aka the best bagels in the whole world) is within a short walking distance (as is the famous bull and World Trade Center museum). The spacious room, only available for 1-2 people each, was wonderful. I love the exposed brick! We had a view where you could see down the street in both directions (no patio, but it was Christmas so we wouldn't haven't used it), a full size fridge, decent size bathroom, a full closet, kitchenette with microwave, plenty of outlets to charge items, a side table next to the bed, a large dresser, and a desk with chair - honestly what more could you need? There's also a TV facing the large, very comfy bed. I declined cleaning of room, something I almost always do when traveling, so I can't speak to that, but our room was spotless on arrival. My only complaint would be the thin walls since we were stuck near someone who was typically having loud conversations fairly late at night. My spouse and I are hard sleepers so I didn't call the desk, although I'm sure they would have said something if it were an issue. Very much looking forward to staying here again soon and also hoping prices don't skyrocket - we need more clean, safe, affordable places like this in NYC!

I made a reservation that was confirmed through the booking site and when I arrived to check in, the man at the reception desk casually informed me that no rooms were available despite having a confirmed reservation! At that point, it was too late the cancel. After complaining, he asked me to wait in the lobby for an hour to see if a room would become available. While I sat in the lobby scrambling to find an alternative (which was difficult because the wifi was not working!), another guest with a CONFIRMED reservation also arrived to check in and was told the exact same thing: there were no rooms available. Throughout the whole ordeal, the man did not seem at concerned that guests were now forced to look for other lodging because of their improper handling of reservations. Anyone reading this should avoid this hotel because despite making a reservation, you may arrive and simply be told that there are no vacant rooms!

So I booked the room months ago for an event call GoFest. I could t find much online about the hotel, but I will say I was impressed! The room was amazing! Had a nice homey feel to it and it's close to everything you could need or want! I plan on coming back to NYC in a few months and this is where I'll be staying! Check in and check out was easy. Staff was great and to my surprise the other guests weren't assholes. Usually when I travel there's always one! Not this time. The stay was very enjoyable! And now that I know how convenient their location is, this is where I'll be staying every time in NYC! 10/10 recommend!!!

You will REGRET booking a stay in this hotel if you do it. Forget about the cheaper price, the location, or any other promised amenities this place is not fit for humans to stay in. On July 7, 2025 my family booked 2 rooms in lower Manhattan wanting to see NYC for the first time. We came in tired and checked in to the Tribeca Hotel Fidi thinking that the "good price" was a deal. Our rooms were on the third floor (room 33 and 34) and as soon as we arrived we noticed that as we entered the temperatures were set to 60 degrees. It was freezing cold so we raised the thermostat to a manageable low 70s. In any case we sought to take a nap, being tired from the long trip, and from the onset there was nothing noticeably wrong with the room other than some warped furniture (a seat whose pleather was crusting away and a desk that looked a little warped as well). We woke up an hour later noticing that the floors had been coated with a good 2-3 millimeters of water and the mirrors were fogged up. The bedding was noticeably damp as well as all other furniture. Our clothes felt wet too. The air was thick with humidity. Thankfully, my wife and I carefully took steps around the bed or we would have fallen. It was like someone ran a sauna in the whole room. What made matters worse is that the floors were concrete and slippery. We noticed that the problem was that their air conditioner had open slits around the unit which let the humidity of the city in. So if the air was not on a freezing cold temperature the room would fill with humidity. Our choices were grim, either we could freeze ourselves and keep the air evaporating fast or we could be warm and wet. After awhile the humidity was too much and we reported it to the front desk. The lady acted so surprised like she did not know. We took a video of it and showed her. My brother's room next to me (room 34) was even worse. But they promised to fix it. So we went out and came back that same evening thinking they might have plugged the open vents around the air and fixed it, but no. They only mopped the floor dry, cleaned the fogged up mirror with Windex and BUMPED the air to 60 degrees AGAIN!! So after another hour there we could not stand it and told the front desk we were not going to spend the night in those atrocious conditions. One because a slippery concrete floor gathering humid water on it by the hour was dangerous. Two because we began to feel the growing humidity on our clothes. Three because the humidity began to kick up a mildew smell in the whole room. It was something I have never seen before in my life even when I stayed the night in a roach infested hotel. So we booked another hotel and finally went downstairs to tell them that even though we had checked in earlier that afternoon, we could not stay the night, much less the three nights, that we had reserved because of the poor conditions and because given the chance they did not fix the issue. Well then things got worse. The lady at the front desk demanded to see our video evidence. We showed her at least two videos and photograph evidence. And at first she said she could refund the money if we just called Expedia, but then something changed. She proceeded to call her family (perhaps the owners or higher ups). They came down and acted like it was so surprising. They began to speak in another language in front of us, but did not want us to leave. I repeatedly, told them that the decision to leave was already made. They were not having it. They said they could move us. We responded politely but firmly that we already found another hotel and we were gone. They then refused to give our money back so I called Expedia. Apparently, ONLY IF the hotel agrees can your money be returned. Then they agreed two return 2 of the 3 nights but let me foot the bill for $408.15 of the night I never spent for 2 rooms. Even Expedia said they could do nothing. So I went to my Credit Card Chase Sapphire and they took care of the problem. In short, stay away from here and beware Expedia reviews because they contract with these hotels too.

The service was excellent. Quick and easy any issue we had they resolved. Room service was excellent when the room looked as new as ever.
