this was one of the WORST experiences i have had while travelling so far. wouldn’t bother booking here, or telling my friends and family as it’s not what the website shows, very misleading. during our stay (we only stayed one night out of the five) we managed to point out numerous reasons as to why we didn’t feel comfortable staying there. the entire room was unclean as the rooms didn’t look like they had been vacuumed, the shower definitely was not cleaned (there was MOULD all in the grout of the shower and tiles lifting), there was an uncountable amount of scratches, scuff marks, dents, cracks, paint peeling, stains and more throughout the carpets, floor boards, walls, doors, ceiling, and skirting. We decided to check out the pool area to see if that was any better and then were informed it wasn’t available for use during our entire stay (we mainly booked the apartment to be able to use a pool). after an hour or so I went to shut the bathroom door and noticed it had dried VOMIT all over the door and in the pot plant next to it - that’s how you know they don’t pay attention to detail, and it definitely was NOT cleaned. we informed the staff and they removed most of the vomit. after some discussion with my partner we felt as though this hotel is not somewhere we felt comfortable to sleep or shower in due to the lack of hygiene. we contacted the after hours number and had to be put on hold 3 times with 3 different people, to be told that we would be able to sleep in a different room for the night only to be, again, led on. we had packed all our luggage back up and went down to the lock box like we were told, and it wouldn’t open with the code given. we once again contacted the services and they said they had made a mistake and that the room was now taken. we were FURIOUS. I asked for a full refund so we could look for another hotel to stay at and they said they couldn’t help us at the time and that we needed to contact them the next day. I couldn’t shower or have a good nights sleep on my first night away, after waking up at 4:30am that morning. so upsetting as we spent so much money on this trip just to be let down as soon as we arrived. very horrible experience.

Stayed here for a few nights while travelling down in Melbourne. We had an excellent time. Right on the tram line to and from the city, short walk to Fitzroy and Fitzroy Gardens, IGA and some restaurants just down stairs, it had everything we needed within close proximity - something that's very important for travelling with kids. We paid the extra for the view room which the kids loved. For the price the room was clean enough with all of the amenities we needed. It wasn't a 5 star hotel but wasn't advertised as such (nor did it cost as much). The staff were excellent in handling check-in/check-out and any additional requests. Will definitely look at staying there again in the future.

Great service at reception, however the rooms only get serviced every three days. They only supplied enough towels amd toiletries for 1 night, even though we had a two bed room apartment. When is did get its scheduled service they just put all bits and pieces on the table and not in the bathroom. They also didn't make the beds or change the sheets Location was amazing, I suggest you eat at Alley Cat Pizza and Pasta Bar.

I'm actually bothering to leave a review as there are so many negative ones which scared me once I had booked already. There's nothing wrong with this venue. Was the place spotlessly clean? No. Have I experienced worse with popular hotel chains? Yes. The rooms were comfortable, tidy, affordable and the service was great. The location was perfect for the MCG and easy tram ride into the CBD. Would be happy to stay again.

So let's start with the negatives. Check-in was a total shambles to say the least. We got messed around from one room and private carpark to another. We arrived at room 801 around 2:30-2:45pm. The cleaners hadn't finished cleaning the room. At least the 4 or 5 cleaning staff offered to move our luggage into the room. Otherwise, the service was average to say the least. The room itself is very spacious. Beautiful views from the balcony overlooking the local park and tennis courts in East Melbourne. Two bedrooms with double beds, a sofa and coffee table, dining table , kitchenette (dishwasher, refrigerator, oven), shower, toilet, air-conditioning in living room, medium sized flat screen TV. Private car parking space. Very good quality. Located within walking distance from Epworth Freemasons Hospital, shops, cafes, restaurants, Flagstaff gardens etc. Besides the average service, I enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed here for a week. Reception allowed us to check in early since we informed them that we will be arriving earlier. Rooms - The unit itself is as advertised, a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony. I was assigned a unit at the Aitken building. The problem with this building is that there is a bit of stairs at the entrance before you can reach the elevator and the actual hallway for the apt units, which was a bit of a hassle since I had to carry my heavy luggage. The unit was clean and stocked with toiletries. It also smelled good. The kitchen had a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, sink and dishwasher, though only a few cookware and kitchenware. Cleaning products were also provided such as dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent. The bed was made up of two singles pushed together (which was not a problem since I slept alone). The shower door won’t close properly so when I showered the floor outside got wet and there was no floor mat in the bathroom. Service - Reception was nice and accommodating. I had a problem with my wifi and they helped me out. Cleaning service is pretty much nonexistent. They came once (while I was away) and just took the garbage from the kitchen and didn’t replace the plastic bag. They gave new toiletries but just dumped it on the table and left the lights on (which gave me a bit of a heart attack when I got back). Location - great location if you wanna explore the CBD. There is a tram stop directly in front of the building(Victoria Parade) and the fare was 5 AUD per ride. It is also near the Fitzroy gardens which is a nice park. An IGA can be found at he ground level of the building so you can do a bit of grocery. There is also a great cafe (Grocery Bar) that serves good food and coffee.

We checked in at 2pm and was told that the room was not ready yet we under stood so we came back later we came back at 3pm and they said the rooms not ready we will text you when it is we never received a message and the room was finally ready at 4.30 pm just in time for the event we had to go to. Rooms weren't very clean had a stain on the sheets lots of cob webs needed new heater/ac as it didn't really work and took 2 hours to heat up our room. Good view though.

Yelp
Yuck! This is worse than staying in a 1 star motel. We supposedly have one of the "nicest luxury units" they have which is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with living room and kitchen. The space layout is ok. The decor is ok too.. not great but not bad. However, it's dirty and has scuff marks all over the walls. No tea towel in the kitchen, no paper towels, and remotes don't work. The tiny closets serve no purpose since they don't fit your luggage and they don't have any hangers. They also have no dressers or drawers so I guess I'm supposed to live out of my suitcase for a week. They have no soap, no amenities and no blankets on the bed!! One fucking sheet. .. and apparently that is normal?? Also, the supposed grocery store is like shopping at 7-11 it's not a grocery store. It's a convenience store that you can grab a few over priced snacks. I would never recommend this place to anybody and I would never stay here again! We do have two kids so the idea of a kitchen sounded nice, but it is in useable. So what is the point?? I would much rather be in a nice hotel and have amenities and room service since we have to eat out every meal anyway.

Yelp
Located just 1Km from the city centre, Tribeca apartments are beautiful from the inside. Modern finishes, white leather couches, glass enclosures, luxurious linens, everything about the apartment is refined and polished. There is a grocery store located on the ground floor and makes it an ideal home away from home. The reception is open long hours and the staff are the friendliest melbournians I've met. The housekeeping was done daily on request. They have an undercover secured carpark and I was guaranteed a spot for a minimal daily rate, which was later refunded as I stayed for over a month. Love the management and their customer service. Did i mention, there is a Gym, Swimming pool which can be used free of charge during your stay. There is also a cafe on site. Awesome perks, makes living here as good as staying in a hotel. One small improvement would make this a 5 star place. The apartment offers internet but it's not wifi enabled.

Yelp
I've stayed in better hostels then this place. Extremely small, none of the remotes worked for anything and the bathroom would flood because there's no proper shower screen. I'm glad that I didn't have to pay for it personally.

Yelp
I'd always seen the Tribeca and often wondered what it would be like to stay here. I needn't wonder any longer...this place is lovely. Lovely mod cons and adding to this place is the convenience of cares, restaurants, a supermarket and a bottle-o. Love it. I stayed in room 705 which doesn't have a view of Melbourne...it looks out over the tribeca courtyard and into other apartments. I was given the choice of moving (the following day because when I checked in there weren't any other apartments available) but I just couldn't be bothered. I would stay here again in a heart beat. It's away from the usual hustle and bustle of the CBD but it's close enough to trams, Smith Street etc. The prices are reasonable in comparison to boutique hotels and larger chains.

Yelp
I enjoyed the stay and value for money was excellent. I did stand in the elevator for about 5 minutes not realising that I had to swipe my card to make it work at first, but this is only minor and can easily be fixed by placing a plaque in the elevator simply for the comfort of visitors. The room was great and free Austar was a bonus for the one hour I actully spent there that I was not sleeping. Whilst I was sleeping though, I did notice that I didnt get a king bed, just two single pushed together, with a great big crease down the middle which can cause some discomfort for couples and make a nights sleep very disruppted like ours. The main thing I would suggest to people wanting to stay the night, add an extra $150 onto your trip that you're prepared to not see for 2-3 weeks. There was a security deposit taken and not returned for over 2 weeks. When I approached about this, I was rudely told it's only $150 and I should just relax. My question is, why are you holding the money for two weeks? Personly, on a dual income, paying a home loan, an un expected missing $150 for two weeks, can put a lot of stress on your budget and undo the reson you went for a night away in the first place.
