Trento is a city with nice medieval and Renaissance buildings... but is has a hidden side. Below some shops in the city center, visitors can find subterranean remains of earlier roman streets and buildings. You can walk on the original street tiles dating back more than 1.500 years. Clear displays show how houses were heated, how the sewers worked and how the city walls were built. The museum is larger than I expected. Better still, the entrance fee is only two euros. And it is a great way to cool off when the outside temperature is a bit too high.

Interesting museum. Fascinating to see the excavation beneath the city. A bit smaller than expected but as the entrance to another museum (excavation of a Roman villa with nice mosaic in Via Antonio Rosmini) is included, it is worth it

Underground Roman city and archeological site. Worth visiting, well preserved, and the staff is friendly and helpfull.

Very neat to see the ancient history right under the streets of Trento. The staff was very courteous and helpful. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Very interesting indeed, especially the old Roman Road, as an engineer I found it fascinating as Spock would say. If I can add some value, more interactive exhibits would be great.

Very interesting! Would be better if there is English translation for all their descriptions.
