Four Mile Beach side viewing platform was awesome. You need to walk about 500m until there from Flagstaff Hill Lookout but it's worthful. This walking trail has many stairs but short, so you can walk step by step. It was about 3km if you walked all parts of trails. Beautiful short walking trail. 05/2025

Nice views from the lookout. There's also a bubbler there if you get thirsty from the walk up. The bubbler has one of those bowls for your dog. The path down to the beach is nearby the lookout too

Trinity Bay Lookout – A Hidden Gem Just Around the Corner Some places take you by surprise. You hear about them, maybe see a photo or two, but nothing quite prepares you for that first moment when you arrive and take it all in. Trinity Bay Lookout in Port Douglas is one of those places. Tucked away just a quick drive from the heart of town—literally around the corner—it’s the kind of spot you can visit on a whim. You’ll wind your way up Flagstaff Hill, and before you know it, you’re standing at one of the most breathtaking vantage points in Far North Queensland. But if you’re feeling adventurous (and fit!), you can make the climb on foot, taking in the tropical surroundings as you work your way to the top. It’s a bit of a workout, but the reward is worth every step. The moment you arrive, the world seems to stretch wide open before you. Below, Four Mile Beach curves beautifully along the coastline, its golden sands melting into the endless blues of the Coral Sea. The waves roll in gently, whispering to the shore, while palm trees dot the landscape like something straight out of a postcard. Behind you, the rainforest-covered hills hug the land, a reminder that this part of the world is a meeting place of lush greenery and stunning seascapes. In the center of the lookout, you’ll find a Rotary International marker—a small but fascinating detail. It points toward cities around the world, a quiet nod to the travelers who have stood here before, all pausing for just a moment to appreciate the view. Whether you drive up for a quick stop or take the scenic hike for the full experience, Trinity Bay Lookout never disappoints. It’s a place to slow down, breathe in the salty air, and just exist in the moment. If you can, come at sunrise, when the sky is painted in soft pastels, or at sunset, when the ocean glows with fiery reflections. Either way, you’ll leave with a full heart and a camera roll full of memories. For a view this good—just minutes from Port Douglas—there’s no excuse not to go.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-Star Review: Trinity Bay Lookout Absolutely stunning spot — a must-see if you're anywhere near Port Douglas! The panoramic view from the Trinity Bay Lookout is simply breathtaking, especially at sunrise or late afternoon when the light hits the Coral Sea just right. You get an incredible vantage point overlooking Four Mile Beach, the turquoise water, and the surrounding mountains. It’s only a short drive or a manageable uphill walk from the main street, and well worth the effort. Plenty of space to park and snap a few photos, and it’s usually peaceful enough to take it all in without the crowds. Bring a coffee, take a breath, and enjoy one of the best free views in Tropical North Queensland. Highly recommend!

Decent viewing platform but in the FNQ you are spoilt for choices. So only 4 stars and not 5!
