Trinity Beach Tavern

I had organised a Baby Shower and booked the private dining area. It was a nice spot. The Team were very helpful. As a local I have been here to eat and drink a few times and will definitely be returning.

Great spot overlooking Trinity Beach. Only ate burgers and loved them. They make a great Aperol Spritz too. And ordering from your table makes it super easy, plus they are on The Pass. So make sure you order through there to get points.

Absolutely loved our couple of visits here, seafood platter was fantastic one of the best we have had generous portion, well cooked well presented & priced. The steaks were Absolutely beautiful we cant fault the food here. Customer service great very friendly staff & atmosphere fantastic quite & relaxed with water views 👌

We’ve been here several times on two separate holidays and it never disappoints. The view is amazing, the staff are great, the vibe is fun and the food is fresh and tasty. They also have a decent wine list and change the menu a bit according to the season. On our two recent visits we tried the fish and chips, calamari, steak sandwich and works burger. The fish and calamari were fresh and perfectly cooked. Nice fresh side salad as well. The steak in the steak sandwich was nicely still a bit pink and tender. The burger was messy and delicious (bring on the beetroot and pineapple!) It’s best to come here with an empty stomach! We can’t fault this place in any way.

Always give 4 stars if think service is great. Never give 5 stars as always think there is room for me improvement. This is local to me and have to say food is great (if servers been good always tip) food is great and have to say chef actually knows how to cook a steak. Most staff are great and assist when can, so big shout out to Dwayne, Jana and Mel, few other regular staff need to learn customer service. I play the pokies also so not happy that staff allow more than 2 to a machine and sometimes feel I'm at an extended youth club rather than a pub, which is not cool when you wanna just chill with a drink and play. Also not a big fan of all the glass facing the beach, don't get me wrong the view is spectacular, however the glass just wants me to clean it, not sure why facilities have glass just for it to get dirty and not cleaned. Replace with wire guys. They have live music on Saturdays which is cool the prices are quite high, but hey it tourist town. All in all a good place to drop in for a feed and drink

Great ambience and views. Food is a mixed bag. The roast beef nest was an excellent item with amazing flavour. The salted calamari on the other hand was the worst I have eaten! Works burger - somewhere in between. Mocktails were average. Slightly overpriced but you pay for the views.

Trinity Beach Tavern had such friendly staff, amazing food, and fast service. Loved being able to order straight from the table, and the stunning beach view was the cherry on top 🌊✨

We ate here Thursday lunch time. It was fairly busy, but we still were able to get a table on the verandah, I would book, if you have a large group or its Friday or Saturday night. There are multiple ceiling fans, so it was quite cool, if you feel the cold, take a cover up,especially at night as it is across the road from the beach. There are 2 entries, 1 at the front, which has a ramp for disabled, the back entrance has stairs. There is street parking, carpark at the front as well as undercover parking. The girls were friendly and helpful and clean your dirty plates away ,when you are finished. There is a sports bar, pokies, dinning room ,a small private area if you were having a small gathering and balcony seating. The toilets were clean and they have a unisex disabled one. The drinks are reasonable price with different size glasses. There is also free water, if you are sober Bob. The meals came out quick and mine was yum ( Mexican salad). Amazing food. Best Mojito's I've ever had. This is a must. The ribs are amazing and the salad. Wonderful. You can look at the ocean well dining on a high top with a nice breeze. It was amazing.

The business have a good majority of their staff who definitely make their customers feel wanted and their service is excellent.The food has improved immeasurably in the last 12 months along with the service so as to make this venue with ocean views fro every table a pleasure to sit and enjoy the Far North Queensland scenery. A real winner in the pub scene on the beach at one of FNQs best beach hang outs that is cruisy and relaxing with good staff who are not in your face but do the job required to make your stay very enjoyable.Get there Gadget -get it!

Terrible service. It took us almost an hour and a half to get our food. If you want a place for a drink, it's clean and a nice atmosphere. But don't expect to get your food quickly.

Total disappointment. Cafeteria style restaurant, where we had to wait for 20 min in a line (only 1 waitress) to order the food up front, then another 15 min on a separate line at the bar. Then we were informed that the kitchen was behind and food would take 45 min to come-mind you, at this point we were all really hungry (esp the kids). When it did come, the only good thing was the garlic bread w cheese-delicious. All else was mediocre to awful: greasy chicken wings (supposedly buffalo style but not at all), Market salad was not good w cold pumpkin and beets thrown in, linguine was super greasy without any flavor and the chicken sandwich was gross. We were so hopeful that desserts would save the day, but the warm chocolate cake tasted like a shelf cake, the lemon custard pie was awful and the pavlova was the best of the three but just mediocre. The few waitresses that they actually had were harried and overworked. We felt so bad for them. This place needs more staff and a manager to fix it!! All in all, in a country where we have had amazing food consistently for 2 weeks, this stood out as the worst meal we have had. Go down the street to L'Unico's instead: great food and service.

The tandoori chicken salad with avocado is definitely the way to go. Great salads at a place that has pokies you ask? Why, yes! Leaves are dark green and crispy, cherry tomatoes ripe, a well cooked chicken breast topped with plenty of dressing. The view cannot be beat as it's right on trinity beach. The venue itself is average and service is frankly quite poor with the waitress snapping at us for not knowing our table number. But the food shines through the stale venue.

The food was delicious and the staff was very nice...but it takes forever to order and get your food. If you want to eat here you must have a lot of time to sit and wait.

We have come a couple of times for dinner. The food is ok. I had fish, my husband had steak. The other time we came, we had pizza. Out of the meals we had, the pizza was my least favourite. But, I am super picky about pizza, and most pizza in Australia is odd (to be fair) We enjoy the casual environment, played some pokie machines, and hung out in the sports bar area. We saw a large group come in for a birthday celebration, which they seemed very accommodating for as there is a lot of room for large gatherings! I would come back.

The Trinity Beach Tavern is a lovely choice for great views over-looking the Trinity Beach Esplanade and ocean from the balcony of the outdoor dining area-if you're not too fussed about the food, just the view. The staff are friendly and the sports coverage for those wanting to watch rugby, cricket, AFL etc are terrific, with numerous flat screen t.v's spread around the dining and sports areas. Not sure that this is appealing to the majority of families who aim to dine out without there being a t.v around though. I've found the menu for both lunch and dinner lacking in versatility, extensiveness and has usually left me wondering when management are going to take a good look at what their customers are looking for, to create a new dining experience that will make them want to return. I find myself wondering whether I should just go with Chicken Parma and chips or Caesar Salad-aka-boring. There is no flair or imagination used to create the kind of menu that entices customers to return again and again. The prices I think, for the kind of menu offered, are steep. The food is average and the sizes are on the small side. Ordering is via counter-service, but on the plus side, the meals are brought out to your table. A morning tea consisting of a slice of cake (large) adorned with cream and a scoop of ice-cream cost $11.95, which again, I though was a bit steep, particularly when the cake, assured as being made on the premises, tasted as if it had come directly from a Sarah-Lee box. Our visit on this occasion, for 5 people for a coffee and cake, amounted to over $70. Very disappointing. I wouldn't hurry to return to the Trinity Beach Tavern any time soon unless I'd heard there had been a major overhaul of the menu and prices. You're really better off heading down to the corner Bar and Grill for an assured excellent meal worth both the price and the view. PS-Pokies available for those who love them.

I went to the Trinity Beach Tavern for the first time last night. I found the meals to be reasonably priced, very large, quick to be made and delicious. Unfortunately, I was let down by the customer service. As someone who sees customer service to be the backbone of this industry, I was very disappointed. All three staff members I encountered were very blunt and disinterested. Anything my family or I asked to order seemed to be a burden. Everything else was wonderful though, the view, the layout and the atmosphere.
