Neighborhoods in Dallas-Fort Worth

"For years, South Dallas was at the bottom of any visitor’s list of destinations. This is far from the case now. Bishop Arts District is the most unique of all the neighborhoods in Dallas. With independent boutiques, restaurants, bars, and art galleries, walking through this neighborhood feels as though you’ve been transported to the main street of a small, charming southern town. If you head just one mile west, you’ll find yourself in Trinity Groves. Trinity Groves has sweeping views of the downtown skyline from across the Trinity River, as well as an eclectic mix of restaurants with every kind of cuisine. " - MATADOR_NETWORK

Yelp
Imagine a vibrant, bustling area designed for food enthusiasts and social gatherings. This lively district features a variety of restaurants, each offering diverse cuisines to cater to every palate. Some eateries boast spacious indoor seating, perfect for cozy dining experiences, while others provide both indoor and ample outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy meals al fresco. Central to this area is a large, open outdoor space equipped with multiple oversized TVs, ensuring that visitors can watch live sports and entertainment events from any angle. Scattered throughout are inviting fire pits, creating warm and communal spots where people can relax and socialize. Adding to the dynamic atmosphere are several food trucks and a central bar. The food trucks offer an array of street food and gourmet options, contributing to the eclectic food scene, while the bar serves a variety of drinks, from craft beers to creative cocktails, making it an ideal spot for both casual hangouts and lively nights out. This area is a perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and culinary delights.

Yelp
Always a great time here whether coming to relax or grab a drink or get slightly rambunctious. They host random events here as well as have multiple restaurant and bars surrounding the area. They have numerous outdoor TVs available that channels can be changed upon request.

Yelp
This trip, I'm here for the Trinity River Run (Half Marathon, 10K and 5K). It is a beautiful afternoon and the evening would get even better as the moon rose over Dallas! This area has SO many attractions and events. The restaurants go from sandwiches, fantastic burgers, BBQ, to international fares from around the world! Desserts include exquisite chocolates, cakes, Asian shave iced, fried pies, fine baked pies and ice cream. Let's not forget the drinks of fine wines to super craft beers! There is the Kirk Pedestrian bridge nearby which makes this spot special for the kids! It has a playground nearly the full length (lots of kid friendly spots the full length) besides the intended kid playgrounds. There are places to sit and lounge. Places to sit and converse. And a long pathway to run, walk, gab and sight see. The BEST attraction at Trinity Groves is the view! In daylight, the view of the Margaret Hunt-Hill Bridge is gorgeous with the back drop being the city of Dallas skyline. At night, is the ULTIMATE attraction, the fanciful and delightful ever changing colorful neon/LED building lights behind the well lit Margaret Hunt-Hill Bridge. This trip, the full moon over this view made it spectacular! Bring a date, bring the kids, bring your dog or come alone. It is impressive! You will enjoy it!

Yelp
I came here for the beautiful view of the city with the bridge. There are so many restaurants here and it is very cute. I can't wait to check it out more in the future. I was able to park easily because there is a lot of parking. I also took a walk across the bridge path which would be a great area to bike or run into the city.

Yelp
Enchanting Trinity Groves is, especially at night. Twinkling lights and during this holiday season, decorated trees and a red sleight are on display. Weaving through the aromatic corridors, there's plenty of eclectic eateries to choose from to graze at, including a seafood, bbq, moroccan, mexican, asian, italian, steaks, and, burger restaurants. There's also a chocolatier and cake shop there. Expanded they have to include shops across the street from this beautifully renovated warehouse. There, more eateries including a fab local brewing company and yummy modern korean snow cream. With weather permitting, lovely it is to see our city's skyline by walking across the close-by footbridge after having a bite and sips from the chosen few. CHEERS!

Yelp
This is a neat little spot in Dallas with lots of restaurants and bars. The variety of restaurants is great, there is something for everyone. Mexican, Asian, Greek, burgers, etc. there is even a cake place and a chocolate shop. This place is popular, so parking can be a pain, but there is at least a large parking lot. If it's busy, it can get hard to get in and out of there. I usually Uber when I go there to avoid having to deal with the parking, but you'll still deal with the traffic getting in or out of its busy. This spot is really just restaurants. I wish they had a few more things to do within walking distance to give you something more to do. Shopping or a park would be a great addition. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating, and if the weather is nice it's a great spot to sit and hangout. There are some unique restaurants here that are definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Trinity Groves is such a wonderful part of Dallas. There are so many locally owned businesses to enjoy and explore. The view of the Dallas skyline is amazing from here. It's a great place for lunch with friends and family. It's also a great place for date night or just hanging out. Trinity Groves has plenty of restaurants with a choice of cuisines. And if you have out of town guests bring them here to show off the city. I love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Really neat trendy place with SOME good places to eat & hang out/ get some drinks and relax on the outside patios that cover the whole front (street side) of the building. Unfortunately some of the restaurants have closed for good and some just not currently open during this time. Nothing retail open that I could see- a lot of shops empty. I would definitely recommend this area in a cooler temperature as the patio is wonderful with misters and large oversized connect 4 & and other games surrounded by lounge seating area. Plenty of parking, neat clean atmosphere and right next to beautiful walking path that crosses the Ronald Kirk and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridges with an outstanding view of downtown Dallas. Scroll the pics tagged for this area and you'll see lots of good one (better thank mine :)
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
This place is super cool! There's a lot of restaurants here and snack places across the street. I love the cultural variation of the restaurants and the large number of outside seating areas. I'd come back here and try some different places!

Yelp
I really like the Trinity Groves area. It is a good spot for Date night or entertaining guests because you have a lot of restaurant choices. I saw some complaints about parking...you are in a city. There is not going to be rock star parking at the door. There are at least 3 lots with complimentary parking, and I have never felt that the walking distance was that bad. There are plenty of options...Chinese, Italian, Seafood, BBQ, Steak, New American. There is also the Cake Bar for dessert. The front of the area has cute oversized rocking chairs where you can relax and people watch. You can even bring your glass of wine..well I think you can. There is a great view, and you can even walk over to the bridge to get a look at the skyline.

Yelp
I recently learned of Trinity Groves. It was actually the "restaurant incubator" concept that brought Trinity Groves to my attention. In fact that was how it was described to me, as in "Oh, you have to check out the restaurant incubator near the south end of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge." Well I started searching for "restaurant incubator" (on yelp) and wasn't having much luck. It wasn't until I did some internet searches that I discovered the true name, which is Trinity Groves. But there's was no yelp listing. So here it is. Trinity Groves does indeed have the restaurant incubator, the full name of which is "Restaurant Concept Incubator program, which encourages chefs and restaurateurs to create and present unique restaurant concepts to a team of experienced restaurateurs who will then support them to bring their ideas to reality." But Trinity Groves also features retail, arts and entertainment, thus making it very difficult to categorize on yelp. But I felt I had to try, as it is a unique destination to sate numerous requirements. It is definitely worth checking out, perhaps after a stroll across the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge (http://www.yelp.com/biz/continental-avenue-pedestrian-bridge-dallas-3). The best advice I could give is to check out the website, which lists all the goings on. PS. There are currently about 10 restaurants, with 6 more "coming soon". Four Corners Brewing Company is also located here, complete with Saturday tours and an "All Day Alehouse" (open 7 days). For hours, see http://www.fcbrewing.com/alldayalehouse.html . PPS. There is also a yelp listing for 3015 at Trinity Groves (http://www.yelp.com/biz/3015-at-trinity-groves-dallas), which is the venue space.

Yelp
This place is the cutest little spot I've been to today. I got a warm fuzzy feeling when I pulled up, all the lights , sweet smells and perfect view of the city was breathtaking . I came for the chocolate but I left with so much more !

Yelp
I really enjoy the drive up to Trinity Groves and the art work is amazing. Meaning the beautiful bridge that you have to cross over. Get your camera out because it absolutely beautiful coming and going! When you enter Trinity Groves, it truly just depends on what time of day/night you are going. It's either going to be slammed packed or just getting there! Parking is interesting, but don't mind that. There's so much to do here. Trinity Groves sometimes has YOGA which is pretty awesome seeing all of Dallas come together for health and fitness. Every blue moon there will be a 5K or 10K hosted here at the shops. It's always a safe place where security is great a directing traffic and keeping everyone safe. Now let's talk food! Here it is! You can sit outside, inside, over a patio or in a lawn chair. There's so much to choose from, simple dinning needs to over the top. Dessert shops to sip, sip & sip! You will find it all here. They have a really nice dessert shop set up with all kinds of treats. The perfect bite. So if you are look for something to get into and can't make up your mind, stop here where there is a pretty good selection to choose from #cheers and have fun!

Yelp
You can't put a price tag on a beautiful view of the city. In the outskirts of downtown, Trinity Groves has a lot of quaint restaurants to dine at and bars to drink at to soak in the gorgeousness that is DALLAS! It's a must-see spot for those living in the city or suburbs, and especially for those who are touring the DFW. Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge (big white bridge with dramatic designs) is gorgeous at night, and awesome to drive through, so getting a cool shot of it is never a hard feat. The whole skyline (#1 prettiest skyline in the USA btw) of Dallas is prominent behind MHHB and at night, it's a seriously romantic spot to go on a nice, long walk :) I'd also go out of my way to come here to jog also, and it's also a very kid-friendly with their installations of jungle-jims and climbing structures. This area is still quite safe even at night. There's plenty of police watching over this area, including the parking lot. So that was an added plus.

Yelp
Went to casa rubia and the tapas was great. The dishes kept coming until we were full. Went and got cake after for dessert.
google avatar

Marijka K.

Yelp
What a great place! So cute and trendy, with so many places to eat and drink. We had dinner at AmberJax and it was so delicious! After dinner we walked around, grabbed a cocktail, and had a seat on the Adirondack chairs under a tree. The weather was perfect and the vibe was great! Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Rani P.

Yelp
We just moved to Dallas and always heard about Trinity groves. Never went because we thought it would be hot but they do such a good job at keeping the place cool outside. LOVED IT HERE! Had a drink and tapas at the tapas place and then dinner at Beto and Sons which was delicious! Great place to bring family and friends.

Yelp
Short story: Great variety of restaurants! I'd definitely recommend it for a fun day or night out! Details: Loved Trinity Groves for a mini-crawl / intro to the restaurants! Easy to stop in three or four in an afternoon. I appreciated that most places had indoor and outdoor seating, several even provided covered outdoor seating. I'd imagine this place is great on a summer evening with plenty of group seating and lit trees. The ambiance is great! Can't wait for April...May...June...well, you get the idea! I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Arrived at 730 on a Sunday All places were closed or closing down before or at 730 Resto stayed open until 8 Nowhere was it posted that the various places were closing early. They just decided to even tho they all were constantly turning people away. This place doesn't need my money but I haven't been impressed enough with the offerings to continue to return and I think that last night just sealed the deal for me There are far too many options around dallas to deal with this kind of unprofessionalism
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
If you're coming here you're looking to take a stroll and see a beautiful view of dallas and to eat of course!! I caught a great shot of Dallas from my I phone (hence the quality) and ended up trying a great Mexican restaurant for brunch! The selection of restaurants there is pretty good!

Yelp
We finally checked out this new hotspot. There are positives and negatives. The positives are ample parking (although they try to regulate bridge walkers from people going to restaurants), and a nice variety of different types of cuisines all gathered in one convenient place. The negatives are that the streets and traffic flow simply are not sufficient to handle all the traffic so it is difficult getting in and out. Many of the restaurants have average ratings so that bears some checking out. The area would be 5 stars if it overlooked the river or had some kind of view rather than broken down homes and dilapidated parking lots. We enjoyed our time walking around and checking out the new eating and shopping. I am unsure how safe the neighborhood is at night. But we will undoubtedly return.
google avatar

Chelsea R.

Yelp
I currently have a love affair going on with this new development! Shops, restaurants...a lot of innovative things happening here. The view of the bridge at night from here is absolutely fantastic! I bet it will be beautiful during the holidays. Now we just need more grown and sexy spots and we are set! I can imagine spending lots of fun nights here exploring all of the restaurants. Bring your honey here or your friends and go explore!
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
I think it's safe to say this is a beautiful new addition to our Dallas skyline. Driving back home from road trips to austin, it's always nice to see our skyline and now we see this new architectural view. I got to enjoy some yoga on the bridge and biking as well during a fitness festival. It was awesome! I need to make another trip down there to try a variety of the food selections
google avatar

Sereena J.

Yelp
This is a great place to go for lunch, dinner, or happy hour! The restaurants there cater to many different flavors, so whether you enjoy sushi, vegan, or Mexican food, this is a great area for you to check out. Each place also provides options for inside or outside patio seating so you can check out the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge. Everything tends to be a tad pricey, but the food is fantastic. My two favorites are: - LUCK (local urban craft kitchen): Where else can you get $5 drafts at any point in the day? I really enjoy that they only serve beers from breweries within 75 miles because that way I can try local breweries without even making the drive. - Off-Site Kitchen: THE BEST BURGER IN THIS AREA. I always get the simple, straight-up burger with a side of their fantastic french fries. Make sure you try the OSKQ sauce, it's a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce you will want to douse everything you eat in. Also try their frozen Moscow Mule, it's especially refreshing now that it's getting warmer. There's a ton of parking around, although in the evenings it becomes valet and very crowded. Aim for earlier or later than average dinner time and you'll be set as far as parking goes.
google avatar

Juan R.

Yelp
Great new addition to the city, ambience is bustling and alive. Walked around the different eateries and shops and they have so much variety. We stopped for sushi at Bayashi Sushi . The tuna tower was excellent. The sushi was so-so. Also try the cake bar and Kate W chocolates. Over all a great place to hang out, will be trying out the different restaurants and see whats hot and whats not
google avatar

Yelp
I LOVE coming to the Trinity Groves area. I've lived here for 5 years and I'm just now learning about the area. I go at least twice a month to meet up with friends or simply have some me time with a book and a drink. I love the restaurant options and how cute the area is. Small, simple and convenient. My favorite restaurants are Cake Bar, Souk and The Hall.
google avatar

ViJay K.

Yelp
If you live in or visit Dallas you need to check out this area. Plenty of hot spots to eat, drink and hang out at. Beautiful view of Dallas and the developer has done a good job to attract some exciting businesses. Parking is not plentiful and can be difficult.
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
While I love food halls, this is different. You have several dining choices here but have to choose which one as each unit is independent.
google avatar

Me-Mei R.

Yelp
I really like Trinity Grove, especially the CAKE BAR also on the same side of the Cake Bar is a Mexican restaurant. It like an outdoor hallway you have to through where there's a fish restaurant as well. Their nachos will smack you tongue and ask you tastebuds. I'm glad I don't stay that close to Trinity Groves because I'll be there everyday. I haven't been to all the stores yet, but I will!
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
As part of an area undergoing renovation, this cluster of restaurants is a great start to revitalizing an area that has seen better days. A variety of cuisines are clustered in a single open air building. From Chinese, to BBQ, to Italian, to sushi, there should be something for everyone. I wish I could have gotten a chance to try more of the restaurants, but did enjoy my dinner at Babb Bros. BBQ. There is a pedestrian bridge that looks nice, but did not get the opportunity to walk on it. I hope the area continues in this upward development, to become a major destination in the city
google avatar

Cindy M.

Yelp
Had a fun afternoon at Trinity Groves. It is a "mini world" of flavors! Lunch at Chino Chino, was a Mexican Chinese infusion delight. Then we strolled down to Souk to finish off lunch with Arabic coffee and an cardamom orange cinnamon Creme Brûlée. From Vegan to Italian to Seafood Market, it is Epcot like when you look at the good variety of food choices being offered. Not to mention the Chocolatier and Cake Bar. Dog friendly and a great place to sit outside and people watch and get a great view of Big D. We look forward to going back again!

Carrie H.

Yelp
What a fun morning walking across the pedestrian bridge and eating at Trinity Groves. The entire area is so vibrant and fun! They had such a great variety of options and cuisines, all with such unique fare! Plus, from the outdoor seating, you get gorgeous views of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. I would love to go at nighttime to see all of the lovely lights (and try another restaurant, of course!)
google avatar

Yelp
Writing this 4-star review is a little embarrassing for me because I continue to poke fun at this "made up" area of Dallas. Like the "Design District", some marketing people seem to have just invented the whole thing. People--this was "Industrial". Ain't no "Riverside"--they invented that street name too just a few years ago to force a more pleasant perception to this formerly nondescript warehouse area. At any rate, after much resistance to "Trinity Grove(s)" (never get it straight whether that's plural or not), I finally HAD to cave in once the almighty Off-Site Kitchen moved there. Alright. Fine. I'll go. The whole "bit" is about 10 restaurants all chained together in one long Farmers Market kind of structure. After visiting a few of these places, I realized I really liked the concept. Plus, they're all really good restaurants! To sum up, the "get off my lawn" inside of me lost out (this time) to the practical side of me that realizes this is a really fun area. Making it even better is the Pedestrian Bridge that physically parallels the Margaret Hunt Hill. Nice job on repurposing the former car bridge to one for only pedestrians and bike riders in order for us to walk off some of whatever we just gorged on at TG. In my case, it was more than likely all kinds of great sushi from Bayashi.
google avatar

Mallory Y.

Yelp
I really like the space and layout in the Trinity Groves area. I love sitting on patios for day drinking or a date night and they definitely have a great one. One of the biggest benefits is that they have it completely sealed during winters or bad weather. They have an wide assortment of restaurants and shops for anyone's delight and it is definitely a good place to bring a big group of people since most of the benches seat about 8 people. Only big complaint is that the parking SUCKS! They get full really quickly and so you have to go over to overflow parking which is on gravel. We almost couldn't even find a place to park and got the very last spot in overflow. Maybe take an uber or lyft here on a Friday or Saturday night or get there earlier in the afternoon to snag up a spot!
google avatar

Rinny K.

Yelp
When you come here eating is a must! The smell of food and music has filled the atmosphere. There are different food and drinks to choose from. They have awesome dessert shops. If your looking for parking, its not bad either however no valet. Come here enjoy the new area and make sure you come hungry. I love that you can enjoy the place while walking. Each area has its own patio, which is another bonus to drink and relax.

Yelp
Spent a weekend in Dallas and finally got to try a few restaurants here. I could've spent my weekend here, but I didn't! The line up of restaurants makes it easy to pick from. I didn't even see the Brewery. When I came it was really cold so we kinda speed walked through it all. Know that Off Site Kitchen is not in the line up, but in the front near Singleton Blvd. They have valet there as well. We came on Thursday night and it wasn't that busy. We came Friday night and the place was packed. Every restaurant wanted to know if you had a reservation, otherwise wait is 1 hr or more. So if you come weekend night, make a reservation. Pretty cool spot with the Pedestrian Bridge and lovely view of downtown. I look forward to trying more restaurants here!
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
Cool area where Off Site Kitchen moved to (good burgers) and there are some boutique shops for cake and chocolates. There is parking in front of Off Site Kitchen and also some limited street parking.
google avatar

Tj S.

Yelp
The Trinity Groves area was a fantastic choice for my squad! It is an awesome place to go on a date or just for entertaining family and friends due to the high volume of eateries. From Chinese, Italian, and Seafood, to BBQ and good old fashioned American food, you can get most anything your heart desires! And, to top off the meal, there is the Cake Bar for dessert - delicious!!! After pigging out on your favorite cuisine, you can take a quick jaunt over the bridge and watch the Dallas skyline. I recommend sunset as the best time. I'll definitely return to this hot spot soon.
google avatar

PJ L.

Yelp
Awesome food hall with some of the best restaurants in Dallas, TX. Plus killer views of the city skyline.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
This up-and-coming area is a fun and refreshing little getaway from other places around town. Consolidating 10 or so eateries, bars, and even a brewery! I definitely recommend bringing and out-of-town friend or two to the area to have them experience a different part of Dallas. The only down-side is that things close down a bit early (11-12am) on the weekends so be sure to get out and explore earlier in the evening.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
We love Trinity Groves and all the food! It's a great place to sit ouside to dine, walk, bike, or grab an awesome skyline photo!

Roni R.

Yelp
I love all the restaurants and the experience going here. I just tried the Chinese restaurant and it was super delicious. I was very impressed!!!

Yelp
There has been a lot of hype about Trinity Groves (or TG as I like to call it) over the last year. A few months ago I went to finally check it out for myself. Parking is always make or break for me. The parking in this area is somewhat plentiful but quite inconvenient. You can find a spot but it's off the beaten path, in my opinion. There are several different restaurant concepts and plenty of space to walk around and explore. There's even a "BIG" sign for you to take a picture. For my first visit I went to LUCK and I was less than impressed with the food. Their offerings were quite limited. The second time I went to Off-Site Kitchen but due to poor timing my lunch didn't pan out, despite my having to wait in a very long line. They say third time's the charm so I will have to visit one last time to see if this place really wows me. If I have a better experience I'll update my review and if not this review will remain.
google avatar

Tammy H.

Yelp
very beautiful at night, nice place to walk after dinner! Highly recommend visiting if you aren't from Dallas. Nice breeze by the lake! So grab a beer and relax there

Yelp
Cool place to hang out When the sun goes down it's perfect for a walk with that special someone and if you have children or a children with fur they have an area for fun for both. Rollerbladers, runners walkers, daters a place for everyone to enjoy The skyline view is the perfect backdrop Bonus: free parking and places to eat nearby
google avatar

Sade R.

Yelp
I just moved to this area. So far I've eaten at Chino, Souk, Saint Rocco's and have attended some nice events. Moving to this area is great because not only can i get to good easily, The Dallas skyline is the perfect view from trinity groves. It's a must visit!!!!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Fun place! Is this the only place like this in dfw? I love the rotating restaurants and dessert shops. You can also go for a walk afterwards.
google avatar

Raymond O.

Yelp
This place is social city. Open spaces and variety of food. Sushi Bayashi is my go to place for food and LUCK for beer. The parking is abundant and the design screams hangout because the lights or on. Big word of advise. All the restaurants schedule to close at 11pm. Come early and stay awhile. May experience the Trinity Grove crawl...
