Triomphe Hotel is in the middle of Downtown Raml Station and it's location is great. Such a heritage filled 120 year old hotel. Staff were hospitable and friendly. 24 hour staff on sight. Room was spacious and had a good balcony with high ceiling. Was a great choice.

I stayed in this hotel -- The Triomphe -- in 2018 on a trip to both Cairo and Alexandria. This hotel was perfect, as it included breakfast, was in the Center of the city, and close to many ancient sites. Keep in mind, that taxis are very inexpensive, and I took one to some of the WWII battlefields west of the city (like Tobruk). I loved the ambience of this old hotel, and imagined the history here. I had booked a trip to Giza, and took the train to Alexandria from there -- quite easy to do!

It is nice hotel. Warming hospitality, super rooms, clean and well maintained building...these are the main attractions of this hotel. Me and my friends were stayed here. We all loved it.✨️

My stay at Triomphe Hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. It began with misleading information provided by the reservation staff. When I called to book a room, I was offered three categories: sea view for 600 EGP per night, tram view for 500 EGP per night, and skylight view for 400 EGP per night. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the tram view cost 600 EGP. When I mentioned that I was quoted 500 EGP, he insisted that it had always been 600 EGP, implying I was mistaken or lying. Faced with the same price for both tram view and sea view, I opted for the sea view room. Before being escorted to my room, I specifically asked the receptionist if there were any chances of insects or rodents being present, due to my arachnophobia. He assured me that the rooms were thoroughly cleaned and sterilized regularly. Upon entering the room, I was shocked to find the trash can full of garbage, unclean blankets, and a dirty floor. Although the housekeeping staff responded quickly to my request to re-clean the room, the initial state was unacceptable. The worst part of my stay occurred at 4:30 AM. I felt something touch my shoulder while I was sleeping. Turning on the lights, I discovered a cockroach in the bed. Horrified, I went to the reception, where the staff member sprayed the room with insecticide. The smell was unbearable, and I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night due to both the fear of more insects and the overpowering chemical odor. Overall, my experience at Triomphe Hotel was dreadful. The misinformation, poor room conditions, and presence of insects made my stay extremely unpleasant. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation.

Vintage hospitality, priceless history in the building & luxe antique wood furnishings. Spotless bathroom too, with big hot water tank above tub. Some wall spots & other maintenance issues, but there's a kitchen with microwave oven as well as vast & charming common rooms. (However, the whole building's old wire cage elevators stop from 4-6pm! Plan around this or it's a long walk given 6 stories of high ceilings.) Nice staff with great English, & a chair on balcony to see the blue sea at the end of the street. Located by the main historic & transit square too!

excellent, I've been there twice already and I have almost nothing to complain about. the location is great, I have been in two different rooms on two sides of the hostel and everywhere I had a wonderful view of the sea. the staff helped, guided us when we needed something and were willing. the rooms were nice, the beds comfortable and overall the hostel was clean. there is a convenience store in front of the hostel and there is an elevator in that building. the hostel is located right by the coast, so you won't get lost there. the only thing I have to point out is that in both rooms that I was . couldn't close the door, so we solved it by breaking the key. and if someone went somewhere and the others were sleeping, he had to lock them there. another thing is that the wifi is extremely weak and I had to be on it in the hall, but it didn't matter because there was a beautiful environment.
