Staying in this hotel felt like stepping into a place where history is alive. The building is centuries old, and you can truly see and feel its fascinating past in every detail. What impressed me the most is how confidently and beautifully the hotel combines modern comfort with historical charm. The service was outstanding – prompt responses to booking questions and helpful information. They even called me personally to make sure everything would be perfect and my needs were met. That level of care is simply unmatched! 🙏

Can I recommend this place? No, not to anyone who doesn't want to risk ruining their trip through no fault of their own. The risk is cancellation by the hotel at the last second. This has to do with my experience while staying with friends in SH to see the play on the church steps. The play was great, and the location of the hotel is good. BUT... I will never stay at this place again and must say that I was the lucky one. I arrived early in the day and checked in before noon. My friend who has also booked several months ahead of time through Booking, had his room cancelled late that afternoon for no reason. An email notification gave him the bad news. No call, no message through Booking. As far as I can tell, it seems from the comments of the hotel employees that the hotel oversold the rooms and was trying to kick people out (I guess like airplanes might do to sell seats at the last second at a higher price). My friend seems to have been the unlucky one. Actually, the original story was apparently that the room had water damage and couldn't be rented. This didn't seem to be the case as the staff seemed to tell a different story later. My friend asked to speak to the manager. When the staff called the manager, the manager simply told the staff member at the desk to take care of it himself and refused to explain the situation or talk to his guest. Not good management in my opinion, the staff member was very apologetic and tried to find another room in SH. My friend ended up at the airport further away from SH and sat on the hotel bill as well as the taxi costs. Could this happen to you? Only if you book here and place trust in the hotel like my friend did. Never again, not worth the risk and stress to me! Edit: (responding to the reply) then, please explain, what is not true? That I stayed at the hotel in June 2025? That my friend was booted out on a Saturday afternoon? I can tell only what the desk clerk explained to us as we listened in disbelief, which was confirmed by a second one. That the taxi ride was not paid for, although the hotel promised to do so?

When we arrived first, there was a problem with our room which was promptly dealt with. The staff were fabulous, all friendly&always greeted us when we passed reception! Excellent location with private car park across the road-great location for Christmas markets which are a minutes walk away. If you are looking for a base that is near for shopping&great choice of restaurants I would recommend here! Even with it's central location it was a super quiet hotel with nice powerful showers. Plenty of channels on tv. Rooms are a little dated decor wise but bed was very comfortable! Lovely view of Saint Michael's Church from our window!

Highly recommended | オススメです! When it comes to rating hotels, I think it's important to consider the balance between the cost and the quality. In this case, I think they did an excellent job for the price. Here's why I gave this hotel a 5-star rating, even with a few drawbacks. Here's why I gave this hotel a 5-star rating, even with a few drawbacks. (*Note: I believe some things below may be different depending on what room you've booked as there were many options.) + Pros + - Spacious room and bed. - Amenities are provided (Toothbrush, cup, and a little box including shower caps) - There is a mini bar downstairs where you could buy yourself some cold beverages such as fanta, water, and or beer. They will also be provided in the mini fridge in your room. - Luggage storage is available. Even after checking out, they can store the luggage for you. I had mine stored while I waited for my next accommodation. - Staff is very friendly and helpful. One of them helped store my luggage and opened the elevator for me. English and German are the languages they mainly speak here. - Other services such as a Sauna Spa or Breakfast are also available here, but for a separate price. - Location is fantastic. Shopping malls such as Rewe or dm Drogerie are within walking distance. Not only convenient, but also great for reaching many famous tour spots. - Cons - - Good for the winter, but not so much for the summer. The provided bed can be uncomfortable when the temperature of the room is too high. However, I believe it could keep you warm under cooler weather. - Based on what I've seen in other people's reviews, it is a little true that the cleaning might be slightly lacking. The toilet paper was not replaced, and the kettle was filled with water. There were also a few hairs, but I wouldn't necessarily call it unsanitary. Towels and beds were clean. Overall, I believe the hotel offers all the essential amenities and provides good customer service, making it well worth the price. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one is more affordable. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, considering how much more expensive other hotels in this area were.

The hotel has a nice location, just in front of the cathedral and easy walk to everything. The rooms are comfortable but a bit old style. The bathrooms could use a renovation. The elevator does not land at the same level so you need to ho up or down stairs to reach your room level. Not good for handicap people. The restaurant in the hotel is great, really good food and atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing. Overall, it is a nice place to stay if you want yo visit this beautiful town.

Yelp
Der Adelshof is located directly on the market square next to St. Michael's church. The family run hotel attempts to capture the atmosphere of the city and the historical nature of the building. Each room in the hotel is unique and, especially their luxurious theme rooms, each have a different color scheme and style. The hoel also offers a restaurant, cocktail bar, and a wellness area including a sauna and relaxation room. The restaurant is excellent with a renowned chef and the bar is spacious and fun. During your stay, be sure and make it down to breakfast. They have an excellent buffet selection complete with homemade yogurt and muesli.

Yelp
Der Adelshof is definitely a treat in Schwäbisch Hall. Except for a few singles, the rooms are very spacious and makes an extended stay very comfortable. The building is historically protected which limits the renovations that can be done, but the furnishings in the room are very modern and comfortable. They also managed to fit in a cool relaxation area in the basement complete with sauna, solarium, relaxation showers and more. The hotel and accompanying restaurant are run by a married couple - she runs the business end and he is a renowned chef. Their previous restaurant earned a star from the Michelin Guide and they are working towards earning one here. The hotel also features a very nice bar in the cellar. Contrary to many hotel bars, this one is frequented by the locals and can be very lively on the weekend. The barman knows his stuff and his staff is very attentive.
