A modern building in the heart of Brittany dedicated to contemporary Celtic culture. Its striking architecture and dynamic programming of music, art, and exhibitions serve as a vibrant hub for the ongoing celebration and evolution of Celtic identity in the region.

Beautiful venue, in the heart of Cork city. Carpark nearby, expect to pay min €3.40, I paid €20 for 7 hours. Food from cafe was very tasty.

Great venue. Went for a book launch. Friendly staff. Small and athmospheric. Book in advance. Accessible.

Very cool and unique venue. Great rolling schedule that always has something interesting to see. Only downside is the seats which are pretty uncomfortable, especially for longer events

Staff always lovely and friendly. I was here this time for the Cork International Film Festival and I also visited the gallery space. Glad to have time to visit and although the benches are not comfortable to sit down after a while, the entire space was comfortable temperature wise

Great venue for performances. I love the atmosphere the converted church gives the place. Makes it a more intimate feel. Came here during Cork Jazz Festival and it was a wonderful concert.

Gotta love this place! Very good selection of movies, wish there were more though hehe *hint hint. Anyway 10/10 would recommend to watch a movie at a church. Somehow good that the chairs are not super comfy so you can’t snooze off

Update: Thanks for your answer! Yesterday we wanted to see this program: Elinor O’Donovan: Winter Sun, light projection on the exterior of Triskel Christchurch. It was listed in the Cork event guide and also mentioned on the Triskel Arts Centre website as taking place on the 4th, 5th, and 6th at 7 PM. We arrived a few minutes before 7 PM, on Friday the 4th, but the guy at the reception desk of the Triskel Arts Centre said he knew nothing about it and didn’t understand how such a projection could even work, since it’s still light outside at 7 PM. According to the website, the program is actually on view from October 15th to April 30th. We were disappointed, as it seemed like an interesting performance.

TRISKEL GALLERY The Triskel Art Centre is between homes at the moment, waiting for new venue Christchurch (a beautiful 18th century building) to be restored. At present, it is Music at Jury's and Art in, of all places, the disused Electricity Supply Board substation in Caroline Street. The current exhibition, by Shane Cullen, in Caroline Street, is pretty appropriate to the industrial location, dealing as it does with the "dehumanizing threat inherent in our increasing dependence on technology and counterpointing this with references to individual examples of struggle and endurance". Large scale works such as The Concern of the Warsaw pact (1992) and, very appropriately, Factories Electricity Regulations (1995), are used to make the point. It is even more "industrial" downstairs. I thought I'd walked into a welding shop but instead the flashes and the noise were coming from four simultaneous video works, all by Adham Faramawy (born 1981), a London based artist of Egyptian descent. Perhaps, the Triskel should hold on to the electricity sub-station. Not sure the restored Christchurch would really enhance the presentation of the current exhibitions! http://corkandabout.blogspot.com/
