This place is always a win, great and polite service, delicious food and good prices for what you get, great taste and quality. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because this last time it wasn’t too enjoyable because of the flies trying to land on our plates, it’s a closed restaurant, I’d expect to have some control over that but unfortunately it was a fight against these insects. Of course not the staff fault, but would be nice the management can do something about this. Consider there is great parking, drinks and you can’t miss the soup of tortilla, traditional soup of cheese, gorditas and the Chiles rellenos.

Good food and the meat is good, most of the time. Service could be improved but I love the hacienda style feel to the restaurant. The mini quesadillas are SO good and there is something about the beans here that I love as well. Prices are adequately priced for the area. There is not a lot of variety of food but the best thing off the menu is the arrachera.

We came here the other day for lunch. The wait staff was very quick and polite. I ordered the milanesa and it was HUGE! It was delicious and I was in a food coma the rest of the day. The restaurant is decorated very cute and they have great big tables to accommodate large groups. They don't yet have a website, but they do have a Facebook page.

Fantastic local Mexican food. Using authentic traditional recipes. You can't go wrong with any dish!

Steak was cooked well (mid-well) on the salty side, service on the other hand has always been dreadful, atmosphere nothing to be desired and dirty, place needs a lot of service attention and a good renovation, not recommend.

My first experience with Birria, a rich shredded beef soup, was at this restaurant, and it was a very large bowl soup with cabbage, cilantro, onion, and limes as sides for garnish. It was a delight to enjoy. The soup was very flavorful and had a nice spicy kick. I found the texture of the beef to be very tender and it just melted in my mouth. The cabbage and cilantro added a nice crunch to the soup, which I really enjoyed. The limes also added a nice acidic twist to the soup. Overall, it was a very delicious experience and I would definitely recommend trying it. Tampiqueña is another dish I’ve ordered there, which is their version of Mexican steak, with a side of rice and beans. The steak was cooked to perfection and was juicy and succulent. The rice and beans were also cooked perfectly, with a delicate flavor and texture. They garnished the plate with lettuce, tomatoes, and onion, which added to the flavor and presentation of the dish. I would definitely recommend this plate as well, as it was a very enjoyable experience. The place is not fancy and could use a face-lift, but the food is always good.

The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, the shrimp was tender and breading was terrific! The service was great and the restaurant could not have been cleaner. This place is a definite favorite - north or south of the border!!

Yelp
This place definitely had the best assortment of meat dishes of all the restaurants I went to in Nogales. I would definitely want to try more.

Yelp
Been driving by for 30 years and finally had a chance to try it. Open since 1958, Trocadero is a well maintained older establishment. At 9PM on a Friday the place was packed and busy. The website said it closes at 10PM but karaoke was happening and it looked like the kitchen was still working when I left at 10:20 It's kind- of that old place that all the locals like but they don't go often, and when they do go, they say , "Why don't we come here more often"? I ordered a delmonico steak , a 1/2 inch center cut rib for about USD 27, ordered medium came closer to USA medium rare (I fine that works out better in northern Mexico, if you want US med, order 3/4 - tres cuartos) , Steak was fabulous . Came with a salad of iceberg lettuce, tomato and some red cabbage undressed with a squeeze bottle of dressing brought to the table and fresh cut fries, which were not all that good, plus 1 big think 'sobaquera' flour tortilla, which is a bucket list must try in Sonora. I probably should have knocked it down to 3 stars for the service, but it was so busy and there are so few review I'll let it slide. I think US waiters are more frequent in checking in and the old school Mexican system is to call over the waiter when you want something. The prices on the menu are MX pesos, divide by 19 to get US dollars at the date of the visit. Location and parking, from the southbound lane of the main drag through Nogales heading southbound, pay close attention after the Burger King & KFC and really close attention passing the old bus station. Turn in to the dirt parking lot. IF you miss it it's quite a ways to U turn, then go north to the next U turn, then reapproach on the southbound lane. No access from Northbound lane. As of this writing, the address is correct but the Yelp location dot is wrong. I submitted correction on the app (it's not in the mall) and will delete this part when it's corrected. Oh - and great for larger groups.

Yelp
We drove into Nogales to see family on the Mexico side and stopped into Trocadero for lunch. The service was great, but compared to many Mexican restaurants I've eat at on the U.S. side, I have to say the food was a bit odd to me. I ordered the "Pescado" and since the menu has zero descriptions for each dish, I had no idea what I was getting. Turns out I was getting fried fish with white rice, a salad and fries. In my mind I was getting a Branzino or some other elegantly prepared dish, but I got an odd fish & chips instead. The chips & salsa was ok. The chips were not freshly made and came most likely from a bag. It was very hot outside, and the A/C inside barely worked. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals for the most part.

Yelp
No se los recomiendo, mal servicio y un menu muy pequeño. Ademas de no tener tacos para ser sonora. El mesero mu poco amable.

Yelp
Restaurant Bar El Trocadero has great steaks, traditional Sonoran foods, even the huge tortillas and, though they are known for their steaks, they have the best VEGAN options; nopales with delicious red chile, guacamole, beans, chips & salsa. The HUGE handmade flour tortillas are delicious and plant-based. OMG...I take all friends and visitors there because they all have a great selection to choose from. It's an authentic, local, family-owned business frequented by local families and businesses.

Yelp
Don't recommend antojitos mejicanos, they are blend. The grilled meat is delicious The crew don't keep the bar clean but I guess serving alcohol the drink itself kills whatever bacteria. I would not order drinks there.
