We came to celebrate my wife's and my daughter's birthdays. This restaurant requires reservations. The food was excellent. The menu gives you enough choices. The wine was good as well. The service was straight and courteous. The restaurant's atmosphere is casual but sophisticated and welcoming. Every dish was done with expertise and attention to detail. It was a great experience and I would come back without hesitation. Highly recommended if you are visiting San Juan.

Google
This was wonderful French food. We were visiting old San Juan and celebrating our birthdays and this was the perfect dinner. We had amazing service and the food was top notch. We had escargot, the duck breast, and beef tenderloin. All delicious, and then had crème brûlée and poached pears for dessert. The ambiance was great, it was a slow night so we had the restaurant all to ourselves. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Chris Betts

Google
Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. From the service to the atmosphere to the food it was excellent. Got the soup of the day which was a white bean soup with truffle oil, the pork risotto and finished off with a lavender Creme Bruleé. Probably one of the best restaurants we ate at in all of Puerto Rico.

Google
I went to Trois Cent Onze for my birthday. The drinks, the food and the service were excellent! The duck was the best I've ever had. Would definitely go back!

Google
Delicious food in the heart of old San Juan. Reasonable price for French cuisine restaurant. The only only thing is that they must have French music during dinner it would give the place better ambiance .

Google
Delicious meal. Every course was really good. Started with escargot and beef tartar. I could have eaten 5 serving of escargot it was so good. The tartar was pretty good but my partner ordered it, it's not really something I'm interested in. I enjoyed it but wouldn't order it again. I had the filet mignon and it was impeccable. Cooked to perfection, plated in a delightful sauce. Our daughters split the chicken dish "Cow au Vin" it was very good, they were happy with it. We shared two desserts that were both very good. I really enjoyed our meal there and would do it again and order the same thing

Google
Quiet, very pleasant, welcoming ambiance that allows you to enjoy the restaurant and the food. Great wait staff. Never felt rushed at any time during the meal and actually, my husband for the first 20-30 minutes was out of the restaurant trying to locate our Uber driver because he had left his phone in the car. The wine was outstanding, and they had a fantastic selection. We drank a bottle of 2015 Chateau Bel Air Gloria with our meal that was delicious. Hubby and I split the terrine of the day that was yummy. Two entrees, Roasted breast of duck cooked medium rare and beef filet. both were outstanding. The chocolate mousse served in pastry lightly sugared and fried was out of this world. We would definitely go again as it rivaled some of the best food we have had in other major city. Gracias!

Google
Escargot was so flavorful. Salmon was nice and crisp. Surprisingly Puerto Rico has some really good French food. I would go back..

Scott B.

Yelp
The food is good at this place and they can get it out quick if you are going to the theatre. However it is so noisy it's impossible to have a conversation.

Mika J.

Yelp
Very good service and food! A great French restaurant in the old town and attentive service! We had escargots and mussels for starters and duck breast and tenderloin for mains. Every dish tasted good and looked pretty. I would definitely go again!

Scott S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Trois Cent Onze on our second trip to Puerto Rico in 2024. We also dined here on our first trip in 2022 and experienced a great meal. Our flight was delayed but the restaurant accommodated our late arrival and welcomed us. We both ordered the cream of asparagus soup on special but unfortunately they only had enough for one portion so I had the French onion soup which was divine. The cod and duck were divine and the bottle of white wine was just what the doctor ordered to relax us after our bumpy flight and long travel day. They ran out of our chosen desert which was a shame but with great ambience, quality service, delicious food Trois Cent Onze is a winning spot.

Jackie K.

Yelp
We had a fabulous dinner at 311 Trois Cent Onze--if you want a fantastic French experience with excellent service, this is the place to go. My mesclun salad was a good appetizer, but I managed to steal a bite of my friend's liver pate terrine, which was wonderful--glad I got a bite! For my entree, I had a delicious salmon steak with asparagus. The chocolate mousse dessert was to-die-for and served in a bespoke caramelized pastry cup. (Insert chef's kiss here!) Needless to say, the wine was excellent as well. Service was very polite, in line with this upscale restaurant, and perhaps the best service we had while in San Juan. The restaurant was quiet and very conductive to dinner filled with quality conversation.

Chris S.

Yelp
When attempting to make a reservation for tonight, I was very disappointed to discover that 311 now discriminates against solo diners. This is shameful, but apparently is one of the last allowable forms of discrimination.

Janlee A.

Yelp
If you enjoy excellent food, wine and service, try this place. Weird art, cool vibe. Seriously as good of onion soup, risotto and French cookery as I've found.

Taylor F.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend for my birthday. Reservations are highly recommended!!! The service was good although it seemed everyone waited on us which is fine. The restaurant is small and quaint with classy music. The selection of wines is perfect because they offer a vast variety. We ordered the Assiette Campagnarde which came with pepperoni sized salami slices, prosciutto, Brie, pickled kalamata olives, bread, a garnish of mustard and another soft cheese that I'm not sure what it was but it reminded me of the Boursin garlic and herb spreadable cheese. I ordered the shrimp risotto which tasted great but the saffron flavor comes on strong so if you don't like saffron then don't get this dish. My boyfriend ordered the duck which was delicious. It was cooked similar to a steak and the flavor was also similar. I usually don't like duck but when I tried his dish I was very impressed with how delicious it was cooked. Definitely check this hidden gem out if you're in OSJ area. Parking is in the red garage (doña fela) which is cheap and about 3 blocks away to walk. You can risk parking on the street however you'll likely get a ticket since most street parking is for OSJ residents that have a special sticker.

Yelp
So, my wife & I recently spent a few relaxing days in Puerto Rico where we enjoyed a wide variety of local PR cuisine. Looking for a change of pace, we opted to go French & "The 311" didn't just hit the spot, it downright exceeded our expectations in every way! Located in beautiful, historic Old San Juan, the ambiance is casual romantic, yet upscale. The staff is super friendly, attentive & helpful. The drinks, wine selection & menu make you wish you were 3 people! We went with the soup, cheese & meat board paired with a nice Spanish wine, the duck breast & filet mignon. Everything was seasoned & cooked to perfection! Then when we thought we couldn't eat another enjoyable bite...the made to order dessert menu comes out, believe me, pick one, they are all delicious! Lastly, for the quality of food, the price is beyond reasonable.

Noah R.

Yelp
Amazing food for a very reasonable price! Our waiter was always there to fill up our drinks and the atmosphere of the building was very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Lem C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Loved the pork belly and the scargots. Very romantic ambiance.

Paula W.

Yelp
From the ambience, to the service, and finally, the food, the meal was exceptional. Would highly recommend. They made my 50th bday celebration outstanding.

Eloise F.

Yelp
Amazing!! We had heard good things about this restaurant and I'm so glad we went! All of the flavors were amazing and everything was cooked to perfection! Normally I don't love quiche because the egg is overcooked, but even that was cooked beautifully and was so creamy. I highly recommend enjoying a dinner here!

Marioly F.

Yelp
Awesome from beginning to end... Victor was our server he was awesome! We were a group of 10, Victor was patient and helpful handling every question with up most care. I will definitely be back to Puerto Rico and 311 is on my cuisine list... Gracias Familia.

Waheed H.

Yelp
The food was really good and the presentation was also great. Service was a bit lacking. Over all I would come back.

Nafisa A.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious, like more than 5 star delicious! My husband got the grilled chicken breast, and I got the shrimp Rossetti and the food is amazing! The service was excellent as well and the ambience is great. If you come to Old San Juan, definitely give them a go!

Yenni P.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal and the ambience was perfect! We ordered the escargots and the beat salad - great starters! The duck breast was delicious and I kept saying "uhmmmm". The desserts were exceptional and the service was great too!!

Tania V.

Yelp
This place was chosen for our Valentines night evening. We chose the soup of the day and escargot as appetizers. The soup was spectacular and very filling. It was a mushroom based cream soup with thinly sliced almonds and just the right amount truffle oil. The escargot came with plenty on the plate, almost all of the "nests" came with 2 escargots! The parsley and garlic butter that it came with was so good, I dipped my bread in it's delicious splendor. On to the best part of the night....I chose the duck breast for the main course....and I'm so happy I did. The duck breast was cooked to a perfect medium and the fat rendered so perfectly that it had a nice crunchy texture without the meat being chewy. I wanted to run inside the kitchen and demand how the Chef cooked it so perfectly! Duck is hard to cook correctly and 311 aced the test! It came with cubed potatoes in a cream sort of sauce as an accompaniment. It was so flavorful! My husband got the coq au vin. The chicken was super tender and cooked right but the mashed potatoes were left a bit bland. I actually added my potatoe sauce to his mashed so it would give it a bit more flavor. In short, I'm so glad I came here because I almost canceled my reservation. I'm glad I didn't and experienced this amazing duck. It was absolutely sublime and mouth watering. This will be a dish I will remember for quite some time. For dessert, I mean why not try the soufflé? When in Rome right? Or on this case Le France! And then came the expresso. An excellent finish to a wonderful meal and it was all balanced out well by the waiter! Seriously, as soon as we finished our last sip of wine, the expressos were placed in front of us! Such awesome attention to detail!

Yvonne A.

Yelp
I recently visited PR. Had dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Food was delish. Service was great. A bit expensive i would say.... worth the visit!!! My goes out PR!!!!

J W.

Yelp
Perfection...absolute perfection! There was precise care and thought given to every detail on the plates. With so many good choices, we were reluctant to order the Salmon Tartare because it is not a local fish. The Salmon Tartare was the star of the show!! Salmon wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber accompanied by a lime foam and a ginger foam as well as a caviar-topped melon ball. Every bite was different and spectacular!!! They treated us to morsel-sized truffled scones topped with portobello - how they pack SO MUCH flavor into one bite we could not understand. Our next dish was a foie gras pate. Served with a toasted brioche point...it melted in our mouths. Next....Beef Carpaccio....it was prepared in classic style and did not disappoint. Served with capers and delicate Parmesan medallions. Last dish....grilled octopus plated with herb de Provence emulsion...FANTASTIC!!! We finished the night with a coffee martini and the wonderful company of the bartender. Service was five star....nothing else to say.

Roxanne O.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday with friends--had the escargot appetizer and the sea bass entree. While everything was well cooked, nothing was very flavorful and jumped out at me as 'this is really good.' Our waiter was very nice and accommodating to all of our questions and the experience itself was positive. The creme brûlée dessert at the end was perfect.

Yelp
If you're walking down Calle Fortaleza on your way to Marmalade, do yourself a favor and stop here instead. Don't get me wrong, Marmalade is excellent, but 311 Trois Cent Onze is exquisite. We had dinner here on advice from someone that I now consider my culinary angel and it was perfection. From the service to the atmosphere to the exceptional food this place is the total package. The cuisine is Nouveau French, the flavors are on point, and the portions and pacing were just right. This place was so good we came back again the next night for dinner again. What put it over the top was their appetizer special: butternut squash and foie gras ravioli with a truffle foie cream sauce and toasted almonds. We ordered it two nights in a row. We also had the terrine of the day, escargot, Muscovy duck, and beef carpaccio...all were delicious. I'm going to humble brag (maybe just straight brag) here for a minute and say I've worked professionally in high end kitchens and I've eaten at Michelin star restaurants and this place is in my top 3 places I've had the pleasure of dining at. Thank you 311 for some memorable meals in Old San Juan.

Kaveh S.

Yelp
Food was excellent best salmon steak i have had Real French ambience is a nice respite in old san juan This place would be a hit in any city

Rafael S.

Yelp
I've been coming to 311 every time I fly in from Miami. This time around was disappointed. Hostess, although friendly made us feel 2nd class for not having a reservation for a Monday evening... My favorite duck was chewy... The appetizers (escargot and Tuna Tartare) were good but not as good... The Risotto with shrimps was really good though. An extra dry martini was prepared not with Grey Goose although served in a Grey Goose glass at a French restaurant.... Glad to see it busy in a Monday evening, but dear friends at 311, you are my heroes in San Juan... keep your eyes open to details... Will be back next time in SJU to see if the quality of the duck improved....

D S.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner .... Great service and great food. Had the baked Salmon for dinner with the chocolate moose for dessert ..... Amazing flavoring on both items

Deborah H.

Yelp
This was outstanding meal; my grilled lobster w butter brandy sauce was exquisite and worth it; we split a pear salad and an apple tart and spouse had a vegetarian risotto which was very good; service just right; lots of people watching too...

Jay G.

Yelp
Love this restaurant. Great service and nicely prepared French food. The Owner is always there to make you feel welcome.

David A.

Yelp
A smaller, romantic, old world venue located in the heart of old San Juan. Our greeting was polite and sincere, the seating was gracious and accommodating. There was no rush throughout dinner which we appreciated. Full bar options and a decent wine list. Service was attentive without being pushy. Food was fantastic! Did not save room for dessert but could not help ourselves and had the Crepes Suzette which was a wonderful way to end the meal and evening

Romina M.

Yelp
Very pleasant dinner. We felt welcomed and were treated like a queen and king. Our waiter, Victor, did a wonderful job and always approached with a smile. The food was outstanding. Everything was just perfect. Thank you for a delicious and enjoyable experience.

Grant L.

Yelp
This was the one "splurge" meal my wife and I had on our trip to Puerto Rico, and we made a good choice. We started by splitting the Watermelon Salad, which was a perfect appetizer. The "deconstructed" presentation was a bit fancy for our tastes, but this IS a fancy place, and the flavors were good enough that I didn't care. The goat cheese in particular was perfectly creamy. For our main courses, my wife had the Coq Au Vin and I had the Bouillabaisse. Both were similarly excellent. Dessert we had a Creme Brulee and a Souffle. All in all it was a perfect meal. The wait staff was polite and prompt, and the upscale vibe of the place really made us feel fancy, the perfect way to kick off a vacation. The price tag is not low at this place, so don't come by unless you're ready to lighten your wallet a little, but you won't regret it.

Shadi S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Food is excellent. Steak was devine. The Halibot is to die. Great service!

Bo Z.

Yelp
The lobster is great - even when judged amongst the lobsters prepared by the many 3 Michelin star establishments in NYC. The duck is also very well done and ambience is very pleasant too. I'm very thankful for Marmalade for pointing me to this restaurant when they were completely booked.

Yue D.

Yelp
Our first dinner in PR! Christmas Eve dinner! Well, we're here to relax and we did not notice the dressing code until we were seated... A little bit awkward that we were in Ts, shorts and flip flops, when everyone around us were wearing shirts and dresses and delicate accessory and makeup... But we still had a great time. EVERYTHING WE TRIEDF WAS GREAT! We are a party of 7, and each of us ordered something we like, including fish, beef, duck, pork, and lamb... The plating was amazing, the dishes were cooked just about right, and the sauces really complimented the meat/fish. We know we were not supposed to in a upscale restaurant, but we ended up sharing each other's food, because everything was sooooooo good. The desserts were also excellent. Souffle of the day was mango flavor, and that's our favorite, the creme brûlée was a little bit too sweet for me... The chocolate hazelnut cake w/ ice cream was also good, not too sweet, and got a nice contrast of temperature and texture. The tables got some candles on it, and we enjoyed our dinner to the candle light. The ambience was quiet and romantic, so glad we picked this place for Christmas Eve. A little bit pricy, but it's worth it:)

Sonia O.

Yelp
Another trip to Trois Cent Onze after visiting SJ again. Located in Old San Juan near many other fine dining restaurants. Ambience was comfortable as always. Dim lighting, relaxed music. Only about 4 other tables sat on a Saturday night so I was happy we were able to be seated fairly quickly. Ordered the lobster dinner along with salmon and filet mignon as I was accompanied by two other people. As always, dinner here never seems to fail. All were delish and all three were completely finished with none to spare. Side orders of rice with spices, potatoes, and asparagus complemented our main courses perfectly. For dessert had the chocolate mousse and apple tart a la mode. Yum-o is all I can say. Our server was extremely attentive and nice and you could tell he had great energy keeping track of his tables and keeping small talk. It was nice that he was nice to look at as well ;) See you again soon 311!

A J.

Yelp
My family has been coming to Puerto Rico over the last several years and Trois Cent Onze continues to deliver excellent food and service. The staff handily outperforms "the best" restaurants throughout San Juan. We were warmly greeted at the door, then seated immediately. Our cocktails were very well constructed and flavorful. My dirty martini was "spot on". The escargot and assiette champagnarde were a great start. Our entrées were fabulous. I had the pan seared Seabass. It was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the bouillabaisse. It was spectacular. The soufflé and chocolate mousse were excellent. The wine menu is limited, but the selections were wonderful. We had a very nice Mersault. We finished with a Sauterne and Vintage port.

Karen P.

Yelp
We ate here on a quiet Wednesday evening, explained by the fact that it was the week before Easter and many locals were staying home to be with family and abstain from food/drink. The apple, goat cheese, pine nut salad was okay but not spectacular - the apples didn't have enough flavor to carry the dish and dressing seemed largely absent. My husband had the steak tartare -a special that night - and said it was not very fresh and over-marinated. The gruyere quiche was deemed much better than the other selections. The dish of the night was the mushroom risotto. The mushroom flavor permeated the dish - excellent! My husband had the sea bass which he said was very good, not the typical oily fish. Another guest had the shrimp and red pepper risotto which was also good. As this is a Wine Spectator award winner, we were naturally interested in the wine list. It was small but broad and prices weren't too high. We ordered the wine special, an 07 Concha y Toro Don Melchor which was rated a 93 by WS. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the 07 and only had the 08 which is unrated, a disappointment in that this fact wasn't shared when we ordered.

Cass G.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The entire staff was friendly and service was great. Our waiter Victor was so helpful with the menu. Overall an awesome experience, very impressed!

Jonathan G.

Yelp
Located in the historic & scenic Old San Juan (in the trendy SoFo district), 311 stands out as a classy, intimate restaurant in an area filled with loud & crowded alternatives. A bare-bones ambiance with attentive service, the food is French/American, with a Puerto Rican touch here-and-there. The food: Mango and crab salad ($11): a bit disappointing. Mango and crab was a good combo; but the crab was blended in a creamy concoction that was too rich. Rack of Lamb in Berry Reduction Sauce (~$25): Tender meat in a lightly sweet sauce. Very good. Grilled turbot in butter sauce (~$25): I'm not crazy about turbot, but this was a nice piece of fish in a delicately flavored sauce. Turbot has a delicate flavor that is easily overpowered, but the chef did a nice job of balancing a light sauce and the fish's natural taste. Chocolate mousse with Puerto Rican rum ($9): Excellent. Not too rich, and a thick/creamy consistency that was just right.

Jordan A.

Yelp
Honestly.... I'm a chef and not a lot places under $50 can impress to the point of writing a review. The staff, our waiter (name forgotten - my apologies,) and Chef Carlos impressed me beyond my wildest imagination and truly brought me back to what truly amazing food is supposed to taste like. If you HATE an amazing time, mind-blowing food, and incredible food execution DO NOT GO here!

Myashi P.

Yelp
Excellent. Perfect. The 'carpaccio' was incredible and the stuffed pork medallions with 'salpicon' side (i think it wad called like that, it was like a pumpkin& bacon creme) as well. The truffle ravioli were spectacular! And the quiche was like the gods of quiche want the quiche to be. Even though I was more than satisfied I dared order a dessert; the chocolate mousse, and it was the perfect ending, it was delicious! I highly recommend this place! Just perfect.!

Maggie W.

Yelp
This place is incredible!!! The ambiance is cozy and classy. The food is impeccable. We particularly loved the escargot (best I've ever eaten) and the truffled scallops were sublime. We could not have been happier with our server Victor; he had fantastic recommendations, was warm, friendly, funny, and inviting.

Alice Z.

Yelp
Sick of mofongo and pina coladas? Trois Cent Onze was an amazing reprieve from the awful puerto rican food we had day after day in Old San Juan. In fact, we went there 2 days in a row. Over the two days, we had: Foie gras terrine (5 star) Sea bass with truffled chicken sausage (5 stars) Bouillabaisse (5 stars) Muscovy duck (4 stars) Crab & mango salad (5 stars) Duck carpaccio (4 stars) Shrimp & Leek ravioli with truffle sauce (5 stars) Grilled Salmon (3 stars) Escargot (4 stars) Ice cream & Apple thin crust tart (5 stars...and I don't even like ice cream!) Most, if not all the food, was better than anything else we had on our 6 day trip in Puerto Rico (except maybe the continental brunch at the Sheraton where we went every morning out of laziness and gluttony) Dinner for 4 with a bottle of cremant came out to $180, Dinner for 3 without wine came out to $120. Unbelievable prices and great service. Also, they give you sparklers if it's your birthday ;)

Philip S.

Yelp
Found this restaurant by luck walking down forteleza. Quiet setting and professional service. The crab cake appetizer was all crab with a good crust Chicken with bacon wrap moist and flavorful. Pork chop was very well prepared. Only minor miss, the rice was a bit dry Would return next time in San Juan

Marsha S.

Yelp
We were craving French food and this restaurant did not disappoint! Service was amazing and friendly, the entire experience was a treat. Don't miss out on the duck! It's really the best I've ever had...perfectly prepared with a seared edge and a great sauce. Really very good! We'd recommend this restaurant to everyone...even if you plan on going to the other French restaurant in OSJ...this is still a wonderful dining option.

M A.

Yelp
Great food, gorgeous presentation and great service!! Staff were professional and friendly. We all enjoyed our food, wine and dessert. There was nothing that we didn't like about this place. We will definitely go there again next in Old San Juan.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Lobster Tail with Champagne butter sauce was delicious! 2 grilled tails were very tender. We also enjoyed the lima beans...nice dinner date option

Kelly V.

Yelp
It was strange to dine at a French restaurant in Puerto Rico, but three visits in three years speaks volumes. To say the least this is our favorite place to eat of all the places we've ever visited. Each time we visited we've experience the most amazing food and it always holds up with each visit. Possibly the best dessert I've ever tasted was the mango soufflé. We had it the first time and it wasn't available the second time, so they told us to request it beforehand the next time and that's what we did. It's like eating a cloud of flavor that goes straight to your head like a drug. There homemade butter is wonderfully flavored for the warm soft bread. My favorite meal was the San Andreas three cheese ravioli, which I was hard pressed to share with my wife, something I've never had a problem with. If you never believed dessert, or food in general, could be orgasmic, then you've never eaten here.

Jp C.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in San Juan. Very romantic atmosphere, not overcrowded with tourists, the food is fantastic and on point! Try the sangria, the cheese plate, the risottos and just about anything else you wont regret it. Take your wife or lover there in the evening!

Laura Y.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal here while recently on vacation in SJ. Wine was well priced for the quality -- the list was quite nice. We shared the meat and cheese plate to start -- a generous portion of salami, prosciutto, blue and camembert. We also had the escargot -- perfectly cooked, delicious. For mains, my boyfriend had the steak -- well cooked, tender. I had the coq au vin which was spectacular as was the side of white bean cassoulet which we couldn't get enough of -- it was superb. Was a beautiful, romantic meal in a romantic setting. Would recommend it if you're in the area.

Veniamin F.

Yelp
5 star experience! We came for a late snack around 9pm and had the scallops which were fantastic and the apple tart for dessert which hit the spot. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic for a romantic or small group dinner.
