Historic building located in the centre of Tromsø. Mikrobryggeri & Balthazar Vinbar became our favourite destination to spend the long summer evenings. Excellent drink selection, good atmosphere, engaging and helpful bar staff. Beer was sold in 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 litre measures.

Fantastic selection of beers from tasty beers that the general public will love, and all the way to wacky and wonderful beers/meads for enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The barkeeper is very friendly and is a great service provider, he entertained a party of 5 of us for hours and gave great insight into the beverages and culture of Norway. I highly recommend it.

A big shout out to Orjan and the hospitality at Balthazar wine bar in Tromso. Could not have had a better experience for a short visit to have a beer and a glass of wine. Great selection of beers and wine and exotics like Norwegian mead. Takk Orjan!

If ever I'm in tromso again, I'm gonna live here. Fantastic brews, great music, totally abusive barkeep (which i love) and ambience to kill for. They just need a bigger bar. Just want to get food here. ... Keep it going. Love you guys .
