Balthazar beer wine & whiskey

The best bar in town. I would absolutely recommend this place. Staff make you feel like a part of the family. Very reasonably priced too. Also, it’s lovely to experience a wine bar where you can speak with a very knowledgeable sommelier.

Historic building located in the centre of Tromsø. Mikrobryggeri & Balthazar Vinbar became our favourite destination to spend the long summer evenings. Excellent drink selection, good atmosphere, engaging and helpful bar staff. Beer was sold in 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 litre measures.

The best place for craft beer in Tromsø. Great balanced tap selection with wonderful sours from the tap and the fridge.

Tons of cool beers from all over the place; a somewhat smaller selection that the bigger brewhalls, but a well curated list full of great stuff (be sure to check out the cooler filled with the more wild bottles in the back). Staff were all knowledgeable, professional and an overall good time to interact with. The atmosphere is cozy and well suited to escaping the cold and getting yourself a few cups deep. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great beers in a really pleasant space.

Great craft beer and whisky bar! The owner has very good knowledge of the drinks he's selling and made excellent recommendations. Atmosphere was very cosy, with nice music but at a volume that was easy to have a conversation over. Would highly recommend!

Great bar. Bartender was a legend. Sat by the window on a stormy snowy night playing board games and sipping beer. Win!

Fantastic selection of beers from tasty beers that the general public will love, and all the way to wacky and wonderful beers/meads for enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The barkeeper is very friendly and is a great service provider, he entertained a party of 5 of us for hours and gave great insight into the beverages and culture of Norway. I highly recommend it.
